I have always wondered that too! Also alot of them will run to and from the horse. Doesn’t seem like a good idea to be making jerky movements by such a large animal.
They are staging. Keep in mind that we see them from a different angle than the photographer does. It seems they like taking the touristy, staged pictures.

How long does the horse have to stand on that hard surface before they are changed out? It seems like this would not be good for them to stand for long periods.
It’s extremely cruel to force a horse who obviously doesn’t enjoy people coming close to him, to have to stand there for hours trying to get them away from him.
Do you run around the countryside and say the same to farmers whose horses stand around a pasture? Not all of them are friendly, too. Stop being a sheeple!
The Asian lady who puts her thumb out - _when she already had a bandage on her hand/thumb..._ Dude. (Was she perchance there the day before and met Ormonde? And now she's back for more (abuse)). Also, some people (the same Asian group) stands there way too long. God, stop being obnoxious. A click literally takes 1/60th of a second, or less...
