A very well researched documentary. The poor woman suffered a tremendous amount of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse from the slaveowner and had every right to defend herself and escape from slavery. The abolitionists should have published pamphlets on the terrible abuses these women were suffering from.

Our men were program to hate each other by the white man. As very evidently you can see today. They stripped us of everything, culture, religions, name, etc. This is the reason we try to emulate the white man. We don't know anything else but to become dependent on them. Deborah, yes. I don't remember if it is in this video or not BUT in one video, they spoke of how the Black men were forced to have sex with anyone, maybe even their own mother's. A bag would be put over each the male and female's head so they had no idea who they were impregnating. Hence, the term, "mother f&^ker"! If this is not demonic, I don't know what is! Seems like that singer who I won't name learned well! I wanted to say too, that to this DAY we are viewed as a sex toy! If a Black person doesn't choose to work for the rest of their life, we have done enough and we need to be compensated the financial equalent of "40 Acres and A Mule." I personally was taught that slavery was a benign unwritten contract between master and slave where the slave received food and shelter in exchange for work. All races were enslaved at one point. The term comes from the word slav. And who were the Slavs? White people. Black people started the trade in Africa and were selling off the black people they weren't using as slaves. There are still slaves to this day, feel for them too. As horrible as slavery was in America, it's not something either you or I went through. We haven't scraped the surface of most horrible things throughout history.
