Fifty years before Robin Williams played the Genie in Aladdin, Disney had already made an animated film with an all-star cast. A special dub of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was prepared for the German government in 1938, but was shelved due to World War 2. This dub featured a cast of famous actors who died before the film ever saw a release, victims of a cruel regime.
The German dub of Snow White was directed by Kurt Gerron, starring Hortense Raky, Dora Gerson, Otto Wallburg, Kurt Lilien, Sig Arno, and Gerron himself. Raky and Arno were the only survivors. None of the actors would be credited or acknowledged in any official capacity by The Walt Disney Company.

So the conclusion is that Disney employed many Jewish people. Snow White was dubbed in many European languages and German was only one of them. They indeed recorded the dub in the Netherlands, right after they made the Dutch dub there. And they indeed used German people that lived in the Netherlands at the time. I think this was very sensitive and thoughtful of the company.

At least someone tells the Story. Shame on Disney for not rereleasing the old dubbings.Also Pinocchio was dubbed by jewish actors. But those, who had survived the Third Reich. By the way, Disney was not antisemitic and he hated Hitler.

Do we know is the 1st german version of Pinocchio even survived ? Some foriegn dubs didn't sadly (and the modern Disney regimes were never interested to preserve them at all, even today, because of the cost involved and royalties to the people involved).

Disney veteran Joe Grant was Jewish and he said that Walt Disney was not prejudice against any Jews and that that doctrine should be “laid to rest and buried deep”. I agree with Joe. Maleficent/Tinkerbell/Cruella DeVille animator Marc Davis was also Jewish. The short cartoon Der Fuhrer’s Face also would not have been made, because actually it won an Academy Award and Oliver Wallace wrote the title song.

The Sherman brothers, who composed the music for several Disney classics ('Mary Poppins', 'Jungle Book' ), were Jewish too, and they never told anything negative about their relation to Walt Disney.

By the time Disney had produced the Donald Duck short “The Furier’s Face”, “Education for Death” about Nazi youth education and the feature film “Victory Through Air Power” Disney ended up on Hitler’s blacklist.

This video was good, but you missed a few things from the first part of the video when you were discussing about Jews who lived in Europe. You correctly identified antisemitism; however, you made it seem like Jews were very similar to Europeans when this was not true. Europeans thought Jewish people dressed differently than them and that Jews looked different. This was mostly a few centuries ago. In the pictures from the 1900s, it may look like Jewish people dressed more similarly to Europeans, but it was probably more different in the medieval times. Europeans did not want to intermarry with Jewish people. As a result, Jewish people had to stay within their own circles and intermarry, which caused us to become a separate, genetically different ethnic group. Jews, no matter where their diaspora location is share more DNA with other Levantine populations. We do not share much DNA with Europeans even if people may think Ashkenazi Jews look European. That is one of the reasons why we were seen as different. The Europeans viewed Jewish people as foreigners who were racially inferior. Also, Christians were not allowed to do these banking jobs, and did not allow Jewish people to do most jobs. They pretty much only allowed Jewish people to be bankers and do other jobs involving money. Besides that, this was an interesting, but sad video. I hope they release this German dub on Disney Plus.

It probably also depends on which country you talk about. In the Netherlands, 80 % of the jews lived in Amsterdam. There were not much different from their christian neighbours. In Eastern Europe however there whole neighbourhoods and villages were only jews lived. There they probably stood out more.

Also Christians for a time had disdain for the Jews due to their role in Christ's crucifixion(even though this was Christs mission to sacrifice him self to save mankind) and their refusal to recogize Christ as the God's son and the Messiah to which god foretold the arrival of to the prophet Isaiah. But the big thing was the Money lending and when something bad went wrong(Like the Black Death for instance) the Jews made good scapegoats because if the Jews copped the blame for the plague it meant any debts owed to Jews would be null and void.

I think it depends on some nations as with even saying Eastern Europe depending on which Slavic nation is being inferred. It's something I've found fascinating while studying the Holocaust and how in many places after the surrender to the Germans in the West and Russians to the East of Poland almost all of those areas already had ghettos where Jews were isolated before the ghettos became fit to bursting with the amounts especially in the Warsaw Ghetto the difference between Lodz and Warsaw was there was more jobs for people at Lodz though how it went from a certain rate for jobs working for the overlords had taken the turn where 500 grams of calories a day per adult man working the kind of difficult work that they could have easily had over 2 thousand calories a day and not gained weight. The majority of children in Warsaw died from malnutrition. There were so many who didn't need to fear gas chambers or fires they wouldn't last long enough to be destroyed that way. I recently saw a video on RU-vid that I haven't watched yet from the man who's father was the king of Poland who warned Europe saying to be wary and distrustful of Germans in every way even now.
