This place in front of the lake is stunning, it’s still a peaceful & wonderful place . Thanks to Queen, his parents & Montserrat Caballé, Freddie have a place to be remembered in the way he deserves
Montreaux is beautiful and as Freddie said-it brings peace to your soul. Shame on the London authorities for still not honoring him after all these years.
I’ve been to Montreux a few times, the last just about 6 weeks ago and the weather was so perfect. We visited Freddie’s statue everyday, as did so many people, both locals and visitors from all over the world. The entire region is such a magical place. As Freddie sings, quiet and blissful, and a truly magnificent view. We walked miles lakeside, down past his apartment and beyond. The scenery never stops, and there are wonderful sculptures and interesting pieces of art to explore. I’m looking forward to coming back to this beautiful place which has become a favorite destination for me to visit.
