Allianz Chief Economic Advisor and global macro strategist Mohamed El-Erian sat down with Andy Serwer editor-in-chief for Yahoo Finance to discuss how the United States is now perceived in the global economy, his career as an economist, the value of fundamentals, long term investing, challenges at Harvard University, the Federal Reserve and uncertainty with the economy.
He also discusses how his daughter inspired him to embrace more of a work-life balance and the loyalty he has as a fan for the New York Jets and Mets despite their inability to have a winning season.

Mohamed El-Erian is intelligent, educated, informed, and, being educated in UK (boarding school, undergraduate, post-graduate), knows how to tie the perfect necktie unlike his interviewer here. Rolling Rs are both flexibly fixable and wonderfully authentic.

Exactly, Infrastructure is the 3rd leg to bring us forward the next 20 years but sadly politicians are short-sighted. They want immediate results to win votes! Politicians are like beggars where their only concern is .....their next meal! That is why they ended up as beggars and politicians!!!

If the government actually wanted to see growth they would do two things. 1) remove all zoning laws for us citizens. 2) eliminate property taxes for us citizens. .... That would 100% fix your growth issue

He wants to raise taxes, but he ignores the fact that politicians totally waste our money. Politicians don't produce all the things that we need to make our lives better.
