My brother and i shared a bedroom and you literally couldnt see ANY bare walls they were COMPLETELY covered in KISS posters..I cant quite remember which one it was but we had one that was like 6 foot long and 4 foot wide almost covered an entire wall..I wish i could remember what was on it...Im sure if i saw it i'd remember it...And the belt buckles i forgot about the belt buckles holy sht...I cant even begin to explain how fn awesome it was to be growing up at that time..It was amazing...
@@timmanfredi398 Same here. If I remember correctly, it was the B side from Hard Luck Woman. I listened to that song over and over when I was 9. Such a great song!
The craziest merch I ever owned was a pair of KISS shoelaces, a bottle of KISS wine and a Music from the Elder picture disc. There was a TON of other stuff (Mego dolls, original comic book, posters galore), but that was the most off beat stuff. My first girlfriend in 1978 had a KISS pinball machine in her basement.
Greatest thing about his collection is how it's laid out. Beautiful.....and not cluttered up with the garbage released after the reunion tour 'til now.
It took waaaaaaaaaaay too long, but it's good to FINALLY see KISS getting the respect their music deserves!! Fell in love with them as soon as I saw them when I emigrated from Jamaica to Canada 1000 years ago!!! It's ALWAYS bothered me how they seemed to be soooo disrespected and underated. There have been only a few bands which seem to roll off the lips of our top musicians as being influences. KISS, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin (Among other faves of mine) have always been in that list, yet Kiss never seemed to get the respect. Growing up, I could NEVER hear them on any rock radio stations here. I might hear Beth once or twice in 5 years but nothing else. It wasn't until after they took their make up off that they started getting 'some' radio play here. To me though, the stuff after the 4 original members parted ways doesn't compare to the original masterpieces. Sorry...but lightening cannot strike twice. John 5? What happened to the other 4 before? Thank u for your time to read my post. Peach Out!!!
@@rodneysettle8106 I knew his name but never looked into him. My God !!! He is something else man. So down to earth. Cats that can't come near his playing act like they are the "man". He's on the top of my list now !!
Crazy. A guitar rock star that's into another rock band. Why not. Awesome. Now about J5 on guitar. BEAST!!! Humble too. He's at a level even great guitarist will never attain. Love the collection! Thank You for letting us in!
John 5 has been around a LONG time, he was actually David Lee Roth's guitar player on the song 'Slam Dunk' back in 1997. He is a pretty diverse player, he can even do some convincing country style chicken pickin'! Great player, love John 5! 👍
@@NateThunder he might not personally be buddies with John 5 if he was there, but I'm sure he would respect the guy somewhat musically. We both know that Dime was a fan of David Allan Coe, that's why they Made "rebel meets rebel". I'm pretty sure that he also liked some of the Southern guitar players and John5 has a lot of chicken picking going on. Regardless of whether he got along with or not, Dime would love that Kiss memorabilia and I would not be surprised if John bought a lot of it from his estate (although I cannot imagine Rita party with too much).
Just.....WOW !! I can't appreciate an audio track fully. You have to WATCH him play to 'get it '. I went to a Queensryche show, expecting to be bored by the opener, but his show made me an instant fan !!!
I knew he was a great guitarist, but man wow that song at the end was killer! And his 70s room having not one but 2 Kiss pinball machines and so much diversity of items from the band! Just Awesome that he shared this with Kiss fans! Well done John 5!
@@265308 wow what a douche reply. How big of a group are "shredders" ? Not very big when you look at all of music. I can't believe some people, I make a compliment and some jackhole HAS to put his 2 cents in.
I had the Peter Criss puzzle you see briefly where he is holding two panthers with chains. Got it in 1978...i was 8 yrs old....I put it together..spread elmers glue all over the front so secure all the pieces in place and hung it on my bed room wall. I may have to try and find on one ebay new in box.
Not even close Gene has every f****** thing there is to have and everything that wasn't mass-produced that fans made for him there's over 3,500 kiss license product and jeans got everyone plus the ones that wasn't licensed
Thanks for sharing :) I love your playing ! My collection of RATT is pretty extensive ! God bless all the rockers on flat earth and savior JESUS keep us safe always !
John 5 is the best (except for maybe the weird cat as I'm more of a dog person)😉. Aside from Gene Simmons, that is the best Kiss collection I have ever seen.🤩. Love his original music. It sounds like the most kick ass movie sound track or TV show theme song.
JOHN 5, I still have my AMT kiss van model from the 70's which is unopened and still in its original cellophane that I would gladly trade you for a autographed guitar of yours
Makes me miss my KISS Collection I had sold about 15 years ago. Had just about everything he has in the video and sold it all to a few big collectors back then. Now the stuff has almost tripled in value. Such is life I guess.
@@plastickitfreak2343 Its very possible. There was a guy in NC that was collecting back in the late 80s early 90s who later opened up a KISS museum and John has bought stuff from him. I do know a few of the pieces I had went to Gene Simmons collection.
I remember him BEFORE his fame! The Ritz in Roseville! You look great JOHN 5! Congrats to your life of great fame! Seriously! You deserve it! Hope to see you in Florida again!
Your collection of kiss me being 54 a 1st generation kiss fan is so impresive...i remember the night kiss meets the phantom aired oct 28th 1978 and my sister sue who is 2 years older watched it the night it premiered in my mom and dads bedroom....they had a tv in their bedroom.....anyway that tv ended up with my sister sue and i always looked at that tv as corney as it sounds as that was the tv we watched kmtp on the night it prmeired.....anyway i watched it get sold in a garage sale my sister had.....and it really bothered me....i should have kept it.....does that sound weird....thats the kind of kiss fan i am....but if i had your money id collect just like you too....love it......
John 5 is actually Terry McGinnis Malmsteen lol. He's always been like the older cousin that scared the hell out of you with Sabbath's first album...after you passed the ceremonial "battle tater" around.
The German pinball machine has regular ss because the American version is like Hitler’s SS. Ace had the great idea of making the ss like the Nazis SS. No wonder Gene can’t stand him.
Loved the tune. Gotta check out more. Gene was wearing that suit the first time I saw KISS, April 5, 1975 at the Erie County Field House. Rush opened-up for KISS. Cost: $4.50. My first show.........Spoiled!!!!!
@@johnmarshall3903 - That was January 23 1976 when they returned to the Fieldhouse. Some of the rigging above the stage caught fire. That show cost me $5.50. I still have scrapings of Simmon’s stage blood that I got off of his monitor.
