Leon Bailey doesnt perform well for jamaica because for him, Jamaican matches are vacations, so he parties, overeats, stays up late, drinks, etc. When he is back at Villa he is disciplined.

This could be a rough game if Jamaica bunkers and hits on the counter with their speed, we all know GGG has no clue how to beat a low block but they actually have the talent and speed to hurt us on the break

Jamaica has always had very athletic players. I think it would be very possible for them to score in transition and I think it will be hard for the US to score if we're just pumping crosses into the box. It will be interesting to see how the game shakes out.

Fort Worth (west) is a 25 minute drive to Dallas (east) on a west-east line. Arlington is about halfway between the two, so it makes sense as a location for sports teams, and the Texas Rangers play there as well. It's also just south of DFW airport & convenient for visiting teams/fans.

I agree with inverting our full backs, we need to try and combine with quick passes v low success crossing into the box. We should not play for set pieces against jamaica we should pass them off the pitch. Defense shape is also good crowd the midfield and force them to make passes out wide

We have too many players that are playing well at the highest levels of competition….Berhalter is the only equalizer for our competitors. I would not be happy unless it’s a 3 nil US win or greater against Jamaica…we are at home and we have dominance at most every position on the pitch. Never understood why US Soccer federation didn’t go after a higher level coach…our players deserve it.

If the US looses against Jamaica and fails to get out of the group stage for the copa America that may be a blessing in disguise to fire Berhalter. But then it would be shooting our self in the foot because that will continue to leave a bad stain on Gio Reyna club situation with a negative team performance.

Between so many U.S. players having a lot to prove; the Greg Berhalter tight leash overcompensation anxiety, and Jamaica being so significantly out matched I sense the potential for a high scoring game. If I'm right the score-hungry abandon might leave the goal open for 1 (or2?) Jamaican righteous assaults on an indignant U.S. goal. I'm on Bob Marley's side in this struggle.

Personally I would like us to run a 4-2-3-1 more often as well for a more aggressive play style. Using Gio as an actual 10 instead of a feux 10 in the 8 spot. Idk though that does mean you have to sacrifice a 6 for a 10. But we got depth to fluidly change between 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1

No team with Pulisic set in the buildup will score much against anyone. He's elite when he's the last guy up top either with the ball or as a threat to get it. He can't "create out wide", and he can't pass in rhythm. I'd actually rather see an Aaronson-type in his spot. And there's no place in a 3 man attack for a hold up target man. It's simply a design to not score or threaten. Once upon a time, it was a decent spot to plug in a set-piece ace if there was also a ball mover playing alongside. In today's game of 3-man attacks or 3/4-1s, it only works when the other team uses gentleman's rules to handicap themself in the same manner. Dogma for the TIE!

I think we should line up in a 4231 with the back four being the usual with scally in for dest. The double pivot is Wes and Yunus with Gio at the 10. CP11 weah and Flo make up the attack. To attack I want to see if Gio can exploit the space between Jamaicas first and second line. If not we should push Gio up to occupy one of the CBs next to Flo and if he can’t do that sub pepi for Gio. So it would like look a 424 at the point of attack. Jedi drives the ball and If he can beat his man there will be space to exploit. Given Jedi is now through the second line CPs man will jump to cover allowing CP to get the ball near the box free where he can decide what to do next. So the formation at this point is a 334 with the back line of Ream Richards Scally, in mid Jedi Wes Yunus and front CP Flo Pepi Weah. For those familiar with Milan I’m trying to describe Jedi acting as Theo and Pepi/Gio acting as RLC. If we play like we have Jamaica will pack the box and we will only get midfielders firing shots from the top of the box and that probably won’t work or Wes chipping balls in for Pepi to head creating lose ball situations which could go either way. Just a thought but we definitely need two front men pressing the CBs to give our wingers 1v1 situations.

Weah like Aaronson, might be the next established national team player to be dropped due to poor club form and other options emerging. Haji has played well as a LW for Coventry this season and Zendejas has 8G/6A for his club. We should not exclude Zendejas just because he had one bad tournament, and winger competition is good for the team. Pulisic great play as a RW for Milan gives us more flexibility in the forward line.
