The fact that Bonnie literally shifted the balance of nature and gave up her link to her witch ancestors for Jeremy and he repays her by cheating on her is beyond me. She deserved so much more than Jeremy and she also deserved better writing than that, the writers clearly showed through the way they wrote her generally but specifically in relationships that they never respected her

LEXI!!! Loved seeing the fear she brought in Stefan's eyes when he saw her. No humanity Stefan and his sassiness is just so fun to watch. And Damon is funny as always.. and his interaction with Alaric and Mason, loved it. It's so wrong what Jeremy did, Bonnie made a HUGE sacrifice to save his life, and he just cheated on her, like...how does one deal with being cheated on with a ghost?!? I like your observation of not seeing Katherine, I didn't realize my first time watching.

The scene where Anna & Pearl hugs always gets me, especially with the music in the background. Such a sad & powerful scene truly

Poor Bonnie, she deserves so much better from Jeremy ☹️ Aqeel and his love for leather jackets, he noticed both Lexi’s and Elena’s lol I can’t help but feel bad for Anna bc she just wanted to find and be with her mom, it’s what she’s always cared about. She wanted the tomb opened for her mom and now took the necklace to try to find her as well so I was glad they were reunited in the end. I really enjoyed the Damon/Mason/Alaric scenes and I love what Elena tells Stefan about not loving a ghost for the rest of her life.

Lexi doesn't have any powers we haven't seen before. When a vampire is weakened by vervain, other vampires can get inside their head and make them see things. Lexi, who is 350+ years is older than Stefan, vervained him, made him weak, and she made him hallucinate that he was starving during that time lapse. This worked because she was way more powerful than Stefan. The skin change with Stefan was what he was hallucinating from Lexi's mind control. She controlled his mind to believe it, so it became his reality. We were seeing it from his point of view.

Such a fun episode, great to see so many characters return. Really appreciate that Mason wasn't obsessed with vengeance, he just wanted to help Tyler. Love Bonnie getting to see Grams. Anna and Pearl's reunion is really sweet. Paul Wesley gives a great performance this ep. Excited for the rest of this season.

Actually Klaus (Joseph Morgan) was in "Immortals" alongside Henry Cavill (superman) and Luke Evans (Dracula) . It is his and Henry's first movie. He also auditioned for the role of Tom Riddle aka Lord Voldemort in HP.

Until this episode, I never really cared about Mason, but I really liked him here. I liked that in death, he found a new perspective. When he came back, instead of going for revenge or even trying to reach out to Tyler, he tries and helps a bunch of people he doesn't like, just to protect his nephew.

Recycled Apology 😂 and Stefan and Lexi and their undying love, she know him better than anyone else on planet. Sometimes I feel like they should have made Lexi the eldest Salvatore bossing over Stefan and Damon 😂😂😂 that would have been great and funny.

What is there to hear from Jeremy?He cheated. There’s no excuses in the world that can validate someone cheating.

What Lexi was doing was indeed entering his mind and making him hallucinate the effects of blood depravation... This is something that every vampire can do but of course variates from vampire to vampire and specially with age... They don't actually have to be sleep, the reason why we've seen it mostly done to people who are under is because you need the other person's mental "barriers" to be vulnerable in order to get in, so someone sleeping or unconscious is the easiest way in; you need to be able to break thru into a person's mind... Once again, the stronger the vampire (age), the stronger also their ability to enter someone else's mind, same with compulsion, the older you are the compulsion becomes easier or more precise. So Lexi was doing that to Stefan because: 1) She is quite old and also quite experienced with this specific trick given that she has done it before... 2) Stefan is weak here; they knocked him out, tied him up, that's also the reason why Lexi is stabbing him, to make him weaker and therefor make it possible and easier to get inside his head... So yeah, she was making Stefan 'believe' that he was starving for blood and that visual of the hand desiccating it's from Stefan POV hallucinating it... If you pay attention when they go to a wide shot of them you can see that Stefan isn't actually desiccating.

Yeah aiden was right, they can make them hallucinate, it doesn’t have to just be in dreams, it’s doing the same thing. They are just more vulnerable to having someone get into their heads when asleep or drained of blood/weak or dying

Damon is 90% of the reason I continued watching this show. The other 10% was Caroline and Katherine.

When it comes to Caroline fighting, yes the lore is the older the stronger but as we’ve seen before Caroline fights based off of emotion and emotion is heightened like she said when she fought Damon “I’m angrier” and she wasn’t really winning cos they almost killed her in the end she just held them off

LEXI IS THE QUEEN. PAUL'S PERFORMENCE AGAIN IS SO AMAZING. LOVE DAMON AND MAISON DYNAMIK. POOR BONNIE THIS EPISODE.

Ngl it was a little hypocritical of Elena clowning Jeremy for liking someone just because Anna’s dead meanwhile Elena just broke up with Stephan (a literal dead person/vampire) like 2 minutes ago while she likes Damon (another dead person/vampire)

Watched this show so many times and this till day I believe Anna is selfish while Bonnie is selfless! !! Bye Anna ✌🏾 A for adultery was classics 😂😂😂.

Vampirism = metaphor for drug use. When rose said that shutting off one's humanity was fake, that it fades over the centuries, and that eventually you feel everything and you can't stop it from happening. Well same goes for long term addictions, you eventually can't stop the part of you that cares. The first times are easy then you realize it's just a lure the devil uses to get to you. I could go on with other exemples ofc. The thing is, nobody seems to talk about that metaphor which can be traced throughout the entire series. to be continued...

I think Mr. Lockwood didn't come back because he technically didn't trigger the werewolf curse. He never turned so he's not a supernatural creature, just part of the bloodline. I'm assuming he isn't on the otherside at all. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Anna and Pearl hugging always makes me cry. Elena words to Stefan were also epic, she will not love a ghost for the rest of her life. And I always considered this as the ending of Bonnie bad karma when she pretended to deactivate the device. That led to Anna being caught and killed, and Bonnie basically "inheriting" her boyfriend was a bit meh... but it's fine, Beremy didn't have much chemistry anyway.

Stefan needed Lexi😢So cool see her to helping him get back on the wagon... As she knows him the best better than anyone... Love Mason trying to help Tyler. In the minority but always loved Mason he was just so naive and misunderstood... Loved Bonnie & Jeremy but she was right to expel him she clearly was more into him than he was to her... It was clearly an ongoing thing not just closure he was seeking its only fair to hold him responsible and Bonnie deserved better

I never liked Mason, I always disliked him for obvious reasons (since he was a villain) but this episode really made him redeemable. I admire how he put his nephew first & just wanted to help him instead of wanting revenge on Damon for killing him or revenge on Katherine for using him. Instead he wanted to use as little time as he had to help Tyler

Elena to Stefan: 'I won't love a ghost for the rest of my life' But wouldn't she be doing exactly that, if she was to get back with Stefan? Elena fell in love with the version of Stefan that faked who he was. THAT is who Elena wants to be with when she was fighting for Stefan. If she got back with Stefan she'd be with an empty shell of what she used to love..

I dont blame jeremy here. He loved her, and then she was taken from him, killed, because of bonnie. So no, i don't blame him. If he were making out with some ex or something it makes sense. Over here he never unfell for her. She was killed. He was wrong obviously in cheating. But he is human and what he did was human
