Joseph Morgan (Klaus) always does a phenomenal job with whatever's he's given. Even though his character is a murdering psychopath, I just love him so much and he always makes me cry with his meltdown scenes. Like I got the chills when he was staring at Elena with Kol burning behind her. The rage...that was some awesome acting there.
“Why don’t you two enjoy your little villain bonding time” is ironic for Stefan to say considering he’s known as the ripper of Monterey. He’s a villain in many people’s stories. Damon punched Stefan for insinuating that he took advantage of the sire bond to make Elena sleep with him. It was already known prior to her turning that they both had feelings for each other and Stefan knows that neither of them were even aware of the sire bond so trying to insinuate differently is a little odd. The scene where Klaus sees Kol get staked is great bc we immediately get to see one of The Original’s reactions to their sibling being killed and it’s an uh-oh moment seeing Klaus mad.
Stefan took a jab at Damon because Damon took a shot at him, with his unnecessary comment about him and Rebekah... Don't get me wrong, what Stefan said was untrue and insulting; but it was meant as an insult to Damon for being an ass... It was definitely a hurtful comment and he shouldn't have said that, but if Damon is going to be an ass than it's not surprising that others are asses to him in return... If you don't want to be insulted then don't go antagonizing people; they were jabbing at each other and Stefan jab landed harder Also, to be clear, Stefan's comment isn't necessarily making reference to them sleeping together; it can be making reference to all of the other things that Elena has done for Damon AFTER finding out about the bond... Like the whole lovely day he spend with her instead of telling her to keep her distance after they returned from NO or the whole situation of Damon telling her to trust him with Jeremy's safety and to trust what he says, even after putting Jeremy's and Matt's life in danger, a situation where Stefan literally had to intervene even tho he was keeping his distance from Damon and Elena, etc... There have been other instances of Elena doing what Damon says and him saying it with full knowledge of the weight of the sire bond
@@Alewaxon I’m glad you acknowledge that what Stefan said was wrong but if anything, Stefan started with the little comments while Damon was in the cellar. In 4x10 Stefan was ready for Rebekah to be staked and it seemed that none of them were fond of her bc she compelled them and toyed with them. Now he’s not daggering her and mentioning that she’s on their side. Elena was confused and yes it was for sure a jab from Damon when he mentioned Stefan sleeping with Rebekah bc he saw an opening with Elena’s question and took it. He didn’t have to say that however, it did add some context to Stefan suddenly being buddies with Rebekah since Elena didn’t get why he trusted her and seems to be on good terms with her. Stefan was just being insulting in that scene, like how the other half of that line he said about the sire bond is him telling Damon to tell Elena to calm down which is degrading bc being sired doesn’t mean that the bond should purposely be used in an attempt to control her whenever they please for no reason. Clearly he felt like taking multiple jabs at them with the sire bond. I don’t think the “trust me” was said while consciously thinking of the sire bond bc it’s a Damon thing, he’s said that or asked her if she trusts him throughout all the seasons. The only times we as viewers are given an indication that Damon used the sire bond knowingly was to send Elena away and when he told her to get in the car and go to him after she had said that what she feels is real and that she loves him. Either way Stefan doesn’t know a single detail about that phone call or what was done and said in the Lake House so he can’t be referring to that day. Stefan had to intervene bc Kol compelled Damon to attack Jeremy not bc of what happened with Klaus turning all those people and sending them after Matt. I think that what Stefan’s comment was implied to be about can be deduced bc Damon and Elena sleeping together has been the major thing that happened and what Stefan recently found out about. “You’ve managed to use that sire bond pretty well so far” after Stefan is pissed and hurt about them sleeping together and Damon even tells Klaus that Stefan is still mad about it? Adds up to me. There’s nothing wrong with what you interpreted that scene to be about but to me it was about them sleeping together.
@@skylar6709 There is no doubt to me that it was insulting and maybe even un called for; but like I said, Damon can't expect to be an ass and then to not be treated harshly in return... And with this I'm not just talking about what came out of his mouth in that scene, it is all the reasons why Stefan is mad at Damon, valid reasons... Sleeping with Elena just after he broke up with her; they went to NO to figure out the sire bond, talked in length about the right thing to do, Damon even reproached him when Stefan doubted that he would be able to "do the right thing", so Stefan put his faith on Damon and even told Caroline such and it turns out Damon still didn't do it right away, spend a whole day close to her; even after finally telling her that they needed to be apart because the sire bond is a mayor danger on Elena's free will, he went back close to her anyways, and I'm sorry, Damon can't be that careless, specially with Elena, to not know the effect his words have on her after all that happened... I'm not saying that Damon was intentionally using the sire bond to manipulate Elena, but he 100% KNEW what was happening to Elena every time she hears his words, they already been thru this, he knows how the sire bond affects her; so maybe it wasn't intentional but Damon didn't care that he was manipulating her anyways or didn't think it was "a big deal"... I don't know which one is worse And if you want to argue that Stefan should be "more understanding" about Damon sleeping with Elena because: "it wasn't the sire bond, Elena already had feelings for him"... Then that doesn't make things better for Stefan anyways or makes Damon innocent of wrongdoings towards Stefan... Because ONE of the main reasons why Elena has feelings for Damon is that Damon has been throwing himself at Elena and seducing her FROM DAY 1... So even if Stefan "accepted" that Elena has feelings for Damon, that would still leave all of those moments where Damon propositioned himself to Elena, appeared to her naked, in her room, in her personal space, flirted with her; all of it when Stefan was FIRMLY on a relationship with Stefan... People like to praise Damon for those times where he pumped the breaks and defended Stefan's actions to Elena, explained and respected Stefan's relationship with her; but there are docent other examples of Damon disrespecting Stefan and his relationship with Elena with his open attempts to win Elena's affection and break her relationship with Stefan... The reality is that Elena has feelings for Damon BECAUSE of constant closeness to her and flirting, even when she was in a relationship with his brother, which is hella disrespectful towards Stefan... And Stefan knows this, knows that Damon has been trying to win Elena over from day 1, not really caring that she is with him; and now he got it which makes him mad, and not only that, with the sire bond murking every decision that Elena makes, it is easy to thing that Damon finally "getting her" is cheating... Apart from all the cheating he already has been doing with his displays towards Elena... This all from Stefan's POV There is a lot that Stefan could and SHOULD be mad about and Damon continues to poke him... Look at what Stefan did, which is the reason why I brought up the fact that Stefan "had to intervene" in the Kol situation; Stefan removed himself from Damon and Elena's path, giving himself and them space after what they did to him... It is understandable why, after being dragged back into helping Damon, he will still be angry at him... Because the reality is that Damon with full use of his free will, his conscience and his mental capabilities, decide to sleep with Elena not caring that Stefan and her JUST broke up and that Stefan JUST walked out of his own damn house to be respectful to Elena... And they did that without caring how Stefan would feel... I'm sorry but they both should've pumped the breaks in that situation, SPECIALLY DAMON, out of respect for his brother and he didn't... Like I said, Stefan has many reasons to be mad at Damon... He isn't taking little jabs and shit from Damon... And while Stefan comment, like I said, was HARSH AF; Damon comments towards him were un called for and clearly meant to put down Stefan in the eyes of the other people in the room, specially Elena, to make them think badly of him.
@@olavihekandjo2928 Well when I try to stop myself from crying, I act the same way every time, do what I do every time, everyone has different ways to stop themselves from showing emotions and the way joseph adapted klaus', he did phenomenally. They way klaus acts when he's happy, when he's sad, angry, jealous, weak, strong, joseph had personalized it all and literally owned the character, which made the character so consistent throughout the whole show and the spin off, despite going through many changes, it's among the reasons why he's a fan favorite character. I'm not saying he's the sole best actor among the tvdu actors, but his job was praiseworthy anyway.
His executions are perfect. I love his angry walk. It's everything. But the plot armour is insane... First Jeremy and Elena take down Kol?😂 How Klaus hasn't killed all of them by now they've killed 2 of his brothers ? And he does nothing... 😂 It's not even about him loving them it's about him making an example of them Klaus wanted to be feared more than loved. He would have set an example of them... Klaus hasn't lived up to his reputation at all even Silas made him his bitch... RIP Kol ❤
This is why i like the originals better. Being a 1000 years old original vampire means something in that show. Kol getting easily killed by a newbie vampire and a newbie hunter was ridiculous.
Really enjoyed the Stefan/Rebekah scenes this episode. I like him so much better now that he's not with Elena and doing his own thing. But I feel bad for Rebekah. Every time someone does remotely nice for her, it's always because they have some other motive.
Klaus coming to Damon for relationship advice. Love it. Reminds me of Rumpelstiltskin (from OUAT) when he came to David for advice. Something about bad guys humbling themselves and asking for relationship advice just makes me smile
I swear the moment people heard that your time as a vampire dictates your strength, people perceiving the originals to be gods or something is actually annoying like I lowkey hate how Aqeel gets irritated when an original gets into a struggle battle or just slightly overwhelmed like it’s something that can’t happen. They are stronger but not deities 💀. They can get caught off guard and it’s possible for them to struggle sometimes. They’re still more powerful and it doesn’t take away from that fact
Not only should they be significantly stronger, they should also have better reflexes, speed, more experience, etc. And yet they get easily overpowered and defeated by a 1 year old vampire and a human. It's like an adult fighting with a newborn and losing. It's ridiculous, and insulting to the audience.
@@marajade9573 the only one that should have more experience is Klaus because the rest of his siblings have been daggered for 85% of their time as vampires lol. Also, being stronger and faster doesn't make you invincible, you can still get caught off guard especially if your opponents have more weapons at their disposal and actual strategy, being stronger and faster means nothing.
@@alchemyst321 I’m sorry, but how the fuck does Elena or Jeremy have more experience than any of the originals? Only Finn has been daggered that long and that would still make him about 150 years more experienced than any of them. Not to mention that, being Vikings, all of them received combat training as humans since childhood (with the possible exception of Rebekah). Why didn’t Kol kill Elena instead of just staking her, or at least snap her neck? Plot armor. Why didn’t Kol take Jeremy to a new location where he wouldn’t have any interferences? Plot armor. Why did Kol bring the only stake that could kill him to fight a normal vampire and a human? Plot armor. How was Elena able to pin Kol to the kitchen counter for about 10 seconds? Plot armor. There wasn’t any strategy involved, just bad writing.
Wow. I loved this episode! I'm really sad to see Kol die. Just when I was starting to enjoy his presence. I thought he got killed off way too easily. It seemed that the writers didn't really fully utilize him and then he only became a plot device to serve as the sole voice of warning when it came to Silas. Then boom. No more. And it just sucks to lose another original. The whole Stefan and Rebekah thing is really interesting. It's great to see Stefan not moping about Elena. The Klaus/Damon scene. Klaus' hard truths and Damon's snarkiness is so enjoyable to watch. I actually enjoyed Bonnie in this episode. I'm loving all this power that she has. Great episode though. The only way it would've been better is if Elijah and Katherine were in it.
These writers tend to introduce plot lines and characters then drop it then get stick with characters they don't know what to do with...take April for example.
@@LovedByYou same but daniel sharman made me love him. LOVE him. and later when nathan returned, I accepted him too. I later realized part of the reason I hated kol at first was because he was just used as a plot filler in a teen drama despite being a 1000 yo psychopath original vampire. In the originals, his life was actually given some attention, and for the first time he felt like a character. The same goes for finn, I hate finn more but at the very last moment, when he realized what always and forever meant, it made me cry. Ahh the originals is my fav for so many reasons.
Loved that Stefan clapped back at Damon by mentioning the sire bond after Damon had the nerve to bring up him sleeping with Rebecca just to make him look bad. This part was pretty funny. Ppl need to stop acting like the sire bond didn't amplify Elena's feelings for Damon. We all knew she had feelings for both brothers but she chose Stefan until she became a vampire, without the sire bond she may have continued to choose Stefan. Im glad her and Stefan ended because he honestly didn't deserve to be with someone that wasn't as devoted to him as he was to her ... just wish they would have gave him a new love interest sooner ... actually i wish that him and Elena had broken up sooner and then had him and Caroline become closer n closer. N Bonnie and Damon could have been an interesting couple ... or Bonnie and Kai lol. Most of the characters on here started out pretty good with nice storylines but then some just stalled out, gotta blame the writers for that, not the actors, they all acted very well for what they were supposed to play.
I was actually very surprised by Stefan NOT daggering Rebekah when he had the chance handed to him by Rebekah herself. It was pretty evident that she touched on something that he had felt himself- the desire to be human once more. It was pleasant to see him working to get the cure FOR REBEKAH. So she could have a go at a life Stefan even after taking the cure would never have. I don't know if its the massive guilt from his ripper-days or something else but he somehow knows that he can't just take the cure and lead a second life. This transition of Stefan past the Elena-dumped-me-for-my-brother stage is very nice to see.
A noobie vampire and a supernatural hunter Overpowered a 1000+ years old Original vampire. And before you say something about vervain water A vervain Grenade exploded on Elijah's face and he took it like a champ.
This was the episode everyone with a brain cell realised the writers really don’t care about the show writing or the characters unfortunately, and let’s not even go into the whole disgusting race hate towards Kat🤦

I find it odd how Stefan is the only one to point out Klaus, Rebekah, and Elijah will murder them all out of spite. (It's like how the South Park kids, except Craig, forget what Cartman did to Scott Tenorman's parents)
Why did kol come into the house with the stake since he knows they're tryna kill him,plot armour again protects Elena from getting brutally murdered and Klaus makes more threats that he won't follow through because of reasons

@@siaahale13 And none of those possibilities involved a direct fight with one of the most powerful beings in existence. "This is how the story goes" and I'm allowed to criticize it. And no, I don't have to be a director or a writer to do so. "How do you know the writers prepared and set this out to happen?" Oh I know they didn't. They started making things up as they went along, that's why the worldbuilding in this show sucks. It's not that I wanted these scenes to go another way, it's that they should have gone another way based on the rules estabilished for this world. That's what worldbuilding is. So when we see Kol, a 1000+ years old original vampire, being overpowered by Elena, a 1 year old vampire, it's understandably confusing. When the writing of a show will bend over backwards to keep certain characters alive, it's boring and lazy.
I dislike this episode just because Elena and Jeremy managed to kill an original. There is no way a newbie hunter and a brand new vampire could kill him. I mean Elena holds kol down, I mean there is no way she should be able to since she is around 1 year old and he is an original. plot armor at its finest
@@olavihekandjo2928 the originals are like 1000 years old and are made out to be the strongest because of that. like even katherine is made out to be stronger than damon and stefan, just because she's older than them. so by that logic, elena who was only a vampire for a few months, shouldn't have been anywhere near kol's strength to be able to pin him down like that. they threw that logic out of the window though just for the sake of getting the cure quicker.

But they decided to ignore that just to speed up the process of finding the cure. I really hate the way everyone treated Rebekah at that time... the mikaelsons are always at war, but when someone from the outside does something for one of them, they all come together to help each other, I love this family
@@olavihekandjo2928 well, again, plot armor. If the characters were actually allowed to do what they're capable off, the main characters would've been vaporized by the second episode.

This after Elena literally stabbed her in the back out of nowhere after they had just bonded. Rebekah then killed Elena to save her brother (Klaus) which is no different than anything they would do. How does that make her a villain??
Again Rebekah killed Elena at the end of season 3 and she staked Rebekah because last time Elena and friends trusted an original to take care of Klaus they were betrayed so Elena was obviously afraid Rebekah would betray them like Elijah did

But here we enter into the argument of his constant abuse and whether it is better or far more merciful to kill someone out right rather than torture, control, abuse and make that person's life miserable for hundreds of years... There comes a point where a clean dead is far more merciful... Yes, Klaus has never actually tried to kill any of his siblings, but abusing them for hundreds of years is just as bad or even worse... If you are trying to pain Klaus as innocent or to say that he somehow has "done nothing wrong" to his family, then it would be clear that it is just bias talk... Klaus has done enough time and time again to elicit and expect that type of response from his family, specially Rebekah; she has really no other weapon to deal with Klaus, the daggers don't work on him, so there isn't a "look him up on a box for 300 years" option for her and witches have proved ineffective towards him; the stake is all she has to put a stop to him.

Kols death was so stupid man, he should've killed them both in seconds. Also elena making it sound like she was justified in doing it to klaus was mad, especially considering she killed thousands of vampires who could be like her. Imagine vampires that are good like marcel just dead now
That conversation between Klaus and Damon made no damn sense. Damon (along with most of the vampires in this show) have done extremely awful things for no reason. And even the suggestion that Damon hasn’t done anything worse than Klaus slaughtering 12 hybrids and killing Carol is frankly laughable because he definitely has 😂😂😂
Damon has done horrible things but nothing to Elena on the scale that Klaus has done to Caroline. Also like Damon said, his bad deeds were done for a reason or because his emotions were off. Also Damon killed less people than Klaus and Stefan and lived by the erase method to hide his movements. Klaus was killing villages for fun. With no other reason than his amusement.

@@olavihekandjo2928 I think even with those things in mind the conversation just doesn't land when you think about it... Saying that "Damon did things for a reason" is just as laughable as if Klaus were the one saying that... Damon has also killed many people for amusement or simply because he can; not nearly as many people as Klaus, but still, Damon implying that his bad actions aren't without good reasons is just plain stupid... The only argument that would matter in that conversation would be to say that different people have different capacities for forgiveness or different tolerances towards the actions of their loved ones... Elena is more willing to overlook Damon actions than Caroline is with Klaus' (or Damon's for that matter)... But even tho their numbers and their "scores" are wildly different given how many years Klaus has lived and how strong he always has been in comparison with Damon, he has still done the things Klaus does, just in a smaller scale and not with the same "world conquering" goals... So him "giving" some type of meaning or reasoning to his bad actions in comparison to Klaus' is just him trying to rationalize and excuse himself in his own eyes and in the eyes of others I view this conversation in a similar light as Stefan's line about the differences between them and the Originals and himself or others in the Mystic Falls gang being "just as bad as them" and that "how are we any different" argument... It's a nice sentiment that shows Stefan's capacity to look at him self, his mistakes and it also certainly shows Stefan's capacity for self punishment; But it is utter BS when you start to add up... The Original Family, specially when you start to break down every member, is 100% worse than someone like Stefan or even Damon, and when you put someone like Bonnie, Caroline or Elena into the conversation there is just a day and night difference... Klaus, Kol, Rebekah and even Elijah have done worse, have done more and for far pettier or meaningless reasons or contexts, specially Klaus or Kol... Elijah always has the underlying reasoning of doing whatever it takes to save or protect his family, but that only serves to understand him a little and it also tells you that he isn't as bad as Klaus simply because of the fact that he has a code, he has lines that he tries not to cross and lines that if you don't cross he is not going to go after you; but even with all of that, it still doesn't justify his actions, and it gets even less justifiable when you go down the list of Originals... Rebekah has done plenty of horrible shit just because of her "mean girl" attitude and pettiness... Kol is a certified psychopath with no control over his blood lust or interest in controlling it for 1k years, and Klaus is just as much a crazy killer as Kol with a layer of world domination aspirations and "superior being" ideals on top of it.
Seriously kol dying and Bonnie Not letting klaus do anything is so frustrating for me. Like he is the most dangerous and ruthless being shown in the series so why to do this, why…. For once drop the plot armour 🥲😂😂 and see what happens And kol 🥺😭 I actually liked him.
ngl this is where the show started to go downhill for me! to this day, im baffled at how easily elena & jeremy killed an original vampire. and none of them seemed concerned by the fact that they killed hundreds if not thousands of other vampires kol had sired .... and all of this just to cure elena? imo its v inconsistent writing and terrible character assassination for elena who was supposed to be the "gentle and kind" one! anyways can't wait for you guys to get to the originals :)
Well, I agree with part where it was ridiculous how Elena and Jeremy easily killed Kol, but his entire line being killed is not really sad, it’s actually kinda good for humans of course
Honestly one of the reasons I hate Elena is how badly she gets written sometimes 😕 you can't have a character getting constantly described as good, selfless and compassionate. Then have that exact character be the one who comes up with the plan for a vampire genocide. This was extremely selfish and had the show not been tryna shove "Elena is a good girl" on us, this would've been called out as something a villain would do. Like Stefan literally stops Elena from killing Rebekah partly because he knew she would feel guilt from killing her vampire line and we don't see even the tiniest bit of guilt from her this time.
Elena can be a good person and still want to get rid of the guy who’s messing with the people she cares about. I’m 100% certain that had Elena done nothing it would’ve been comments about how she doesn’t care about her brother, she’s taking no action to help him, or that she’s a selfish bad sister for letting Klaus turn a bunch of people just so she could have the cure. The show has shown that Elena is a good person, not that she’s a perfect person. That’s what some of you seem to struggle to come to terms with. Her emotions influenced her thinking, her brother is being forced to kill vampires and being targeted so she’s going to help him. Caroline and Stefan were going to stake Rebekah at school in 4x10 and Stefan and Bonnie were in on Elena’s plan for Kol in this episode. Bonnie told Elena that she thinks she has enough power to hold Kol for Jeremy to stake and to possibly handle Klaus. Stefan’s part in the plan is to dagger Rebekah. Were all four of their characters ruined and they’re all selfish? Kol wants to hurt Jeremy, kill Elena “for sport”, and tried to attack Bonnie so of course they would want to get rid of him. This isn’t the first time Kol has messed with Jeremy and he left the Gilbert house but then chose to return intent on harming them. It’s not about getting the cure as soon as possible, it’s that Kol is a threat.
