Just a breakup due to mixture of love triangle and sire bond which fastened it. Yes she isn't perfect too. But as I phrase the *devil* he said Elena was a pure soul which dimned to some extent as he entered her life and salvatore brothers added in her personal life.

Julie plec (the director) said this scene was made to begin putting Stelena back into the show. However Nina left the next season and that gave the directors no time to incorporate it back into the show. I wish Nina would’ve stayed, we would’ve gotten Stelena.
Personally, I don't believe JP when she says this stuff. She had two seasons to start putting SE back together if she had wanted to. Instead she went out of her way to try and dismantle them in order to prop up DE. She's a Delena fan girl all the way. I think she's just covering her butt by saying this. I think if Kevin Williamson had stayed on the show, we would've gotten Stelena. I always find it interesting how much emotional weight is given to Stefan and Elena compared to Damon and Elena in the series finale and Kevin Williamson was involved in the series finale.

The song represents how they fell in love in season 1. Reusing it showed how Stefan fell in love with her all over again. At least that's the only GOOD reason I could come up with. Cuz it's either this or the producers were lazy and just recycled the song.......
When Elena was telling Stefan about what happened during the night they first slept together and how she told him not to hide from her and placed her hands on his faces, as she was taking her hands off he grabbed it and said “don’t”, Elena said the same thing that night as well ... you can TOTALLY see the love in their eyes 😭😭😭😍😍😍
So my man Stefan gets his heart broken and is betrayed by the 2 most important people in his life. He begins to leave to let them be happy together and make a new life for himself, then gets stabbed and locked in a safe to drown over and over again for 3 months to get rescued gets his brain fried and loses his memories. Then Elena decides to take a trip down memory lane so stefan can get his heart broken not once but twice. Sounds about right.

I have heard people say that Stefan was attracted to Elena because she looked like Katherine. In this scene, he has no memory of Katherine whatsoever and still, you can see him falling for her🥺Either way, Stefan would always fall for her😭 God how I miss this ship💔

She’s so much worse than Katherine. She lead Damon on throughout S3 then broke his heart. Then she finally gets with Damon and almost cheats on him with Stefan. Then, after Katherine left her body, she tells Stefan in her hallucination she wouldn’t lead him on like that. At least Kat admitted she’s selfish. part of me wishes stefan kept his memory gone, and just left. walked away. start a new life without that pain of losing his EPIC love. damon and elena deserve eachother. but stefan deserves FAR more than both of them.

Their first kiss song gawd 😭💔 I used to love and ship stelena season 1-2 and this was soo heartbreaking cause he still fucking loved her without his memories that’s how strong it was and I would honestly leave and my relationship with my sister would be over if she went for my boyfriend but Stefan is such a good guy and I’m glad he got a loyal and amazing love with Caroline.

At 1:46 you could see that Elena had closed her eyes and was leaning in but god knows what hit her and she admitted she was with Damon.Honestly even stefan’s memories were gone he fell in love with her all over again just for her to break his heart AGAIN.

The difference between Damon and Stefan... she's not strong enough to resist Damon because he consumes her. The point of Stefan's comment. "And just like that, the hunger returns.” Biting into her is the only way Stefan can consume her. It's the same in S3. Fans can believe what they like, but one should question if it's actually Stefan's love for Katherine that's breaking through, considering he sleeps with her later in the season. That's the thing about their memory manipulations, none of them are the same. Stefan lost all of his memories, including the ones that involved Katherine compelling him to continue as they were. As far as I'm concerned, this is what it looks like when Stefan hangs out with Katherine, all-forgetting what she did to him.

That time Stefan hurted and pushed Elena away as he was with Klaus but she still sticked to end no matter what. She only had damon so they grew to have interest in each other. And Elena give hint to stefan. And when delena kissed than later there was shown that she did to be sure of her feelings for him and so to not let them be in love triangle. Stefan and her weren't together like before that time and he willingly send them together knowing how she felt. But now that everything is clear and after long time ,she with damon then she can't mess by kissing Stefan . It will be wrong not only to damon but Stefan too by only confusing him.
The fact that they have gravity playing breaks my heart... when stelena was happening my heart broke for Damon the fact Elena wouldn’t choose him over Stefan... then delana happened and my heart broke for Stefan losing the love of his life to Damon HIS BROTHER🤣 until he started with Caroline and steroline was born and he had finally found somebody he could call his own☺️☺️☺️
The reason why i loved the series is because of elena and stefan. I just love their love story. When the story started to veer towards elana and damon, it didnt make sense at all for the character of elena. Its so obvious they just want to start the delena endgame because more fans want that. But it did not make any sense to elena’s character. Stefan, valuing elena’s decision to save matt is priceless. It showed stefan was selfless. Between her gf and annoying matt, why would he save the latter? He did thet because of elena. It was an act of selfless love. And what did elena do in return, she didnt value any of that and instead just whined because she felt “Stefan sees her as a project needed to be fixed.” And just like that elena, just because of a minor flaw of the man you love, you fell out of love for him? And hooked up with his brother? Wow you fall out of love of stefan that fast. That season started going down hill. All of the storyline that follow didnt make sense.

I never saw the chemistry between Stelena when they were together but in this episode it was undeniable. In my opinion Delena will always have the better love but it wasnt until this episode that I really understood why so many people love Stelena. This show produced two epic love stories involving the same girl and that's impressive by itself but then they went on and actually made the chemistry work with both relationships. In my experience you dont see that often. Love them sm
they had more chemistry but since Nina and Ian had attraction irl it was so hard to see but once they broke Up you realize that stelena had way more passionate chemistry like in this scene like wtf this is what Damon and Elena’s chemistry was lacking

Elena and stefan were just attracted towards each other bcoz of doppleganger curse..But delena literally fought against the universe which was trying to bring the two dopplegangers together..Thats how strong their love was.. .She was in love with thim even when she was with stefan .She was in love with him even when sire bond was broken and dont forget sire bond in vampires is possible only bcoz elena already had very strong feelings for damon before she turned. .She was in love with him and fought to get back her love even when they broke up. .She fell in love with him all over again without any memories of him..And thats called true love...

This scene is really sad. Elena telling Stefan about how they met and got together, how he supported her only for her to tell him that she's with Damon. I bet that Elena couldn't wait to break his heart again. Even with his amnesia he is so hurt that Elena chose Damon.

If nina had come back in season 8 it would definitely be stelena .. in the books it was stelena ... even when she was with ian and doing delena scenes it lacked the love that she had doing love segments with paul.. dobsley would be an amazing couple

Stefan and Elena were PLATONIC and Elena fell in love with Damon all over again what makes you think after everything that happened between Stefan, Elena and Damon that it would make sense for Stelena to be together had Nina not left? If she was even back for like 1 more season they would have done it ! They had to change the whole script because she left ! Stelena was written as endgame from the very beginning the reason they made them platonic in season 6 was because they wanted us to show how well they worked as friends too aka best of both worlds ! They were actually written as soulmate in the book and the series script ! They said so themselves 💁

The originals writers ended the books with stelena when later her rights were taken , another writers took over to change the ending which in market was a total flop !btw the reason I know so much about it because my sister in a journalist who during the series final had to do a huge segment on it abs she worked on it for months so I have all the facts . I still have some interview material too somewhere in the pile of dust lol

I read the books and like I said my sister is a journalist who did a segment on this during the season finale , she has talked to the author, producer , Director and the damn publishing house ! So unless you say the whole crew of the show and the books and the actors are wrong than yes tvd is orinally Stefan and Elena's love story and it was supposed to end as such , they originally planned “ the couple to find their way back to each other ” quoting Julie here ... the ending was very rushed and very very not planned unless again you are saying the whole crew is wrong 🤷
