Karen Anderson I really think Delena hurt the show a lot. The writers had to change Elena so much that it just made her annoying along with the shows credibility. I think the people who shipped Delena wanted the show to still be the same just with a different couple but that's not what happened unfortunately. And I honestly think it became the nail in the coffin for Nina to leave. If the show remained its darkness and good writing like in S1 and S2 then I think she would've stayed at least a little bit longer to wrap the show up.

About36GREEKS yea I agree. I was okay will delena simply for the plot and to change things up, but I just wish they went about it differently. They could have easily done 2 seasons of delena (4 and 5) and then have Elena become human again and return to Stefan in season 6, and end it there. I think that would have made the most sense and would prevent the show from getting messy which is what it is now.

How is that gonna work? Damon moveson with the witch and Elena suddenly forgets the sixty years that she sacrificed for her best friend and her lover. What about Stefan and Caroline? It was not Elena who helped him get strong again. Caroline changed him for the better. She could barely handle Damon. He was trying so hard to be what she wanted him to be, but he failed most of the time. She was a kind and caring girl, but she is no match for Caroline or Bonnie..

I understand Stefan's reaction, but I also resent his emotional breakdown with allmy heart. His tears should be for the woman who has been his loyal friend, his anchor through most of his trials. If he was crying for the loss a dear friend and for the loss his brother is suffering, then I can accept, but I dont understand if this scene was meant as some double meaning or simply to give Stelena shippers false hope. If Stefan is not yet over his feelings for Elena, why string us Steroliners along. I would ship her with someone else, cause I love her more than any ship.

Yeah, I'm sorry but Steroline has been terrible this season; they have shut each other out of their lives, their relationship is mired in insecurity and secrecy and when they do bond, when they do share a moment, it comes across as platonic rather than romantic --- like when he was going through his PTSD "hell" I understand and believe that Caroline was his constant, his anchor to sanity but the way they portrayed that came across as friendly. He's sleeping on the couch instead of next to her in bed; when she tells him to calm down, "it isn't real" there's no conviction in her voice, there's no "look into my eyes, you're here, you're safe", it should've been very much like Peeta and Katniss but it was half-assed and that's on both of them. I went hard for Steroline in season 5 and the first half of season 6 but that chemistry between Paul and Candice has fizzled and Steroline to me is a relationship that should work on paper, everything should fit, but its just not working and sometimes that happens and it's OK. They were a beautiful pairing as friends but are simply unbelievable to me as a couple.

Paul extends himself, puts so many different emotions into his performance, it's incredible. (The phone call scene in the Birthday was so powerful and he didn't even have to speak. Just his expressions gave me chills). They're both amazing, but I feel like Paul puts more into his acting. However, I must admit, when Damon got out of the phoenix stone and attacked everyone, then realized what he did and ran over to Bonnie, the look in his eyes did it for me. The raw emotion was just amazing. Idk, they both have their strengths and weaknesses. Paul's acting has been stronger over the seasons, but Ian just gets better and better.
