A baby vampire and a newbie Hunter overpowered and killed an original, someone who’s shown to be able to kill dozens of young vampires easily but yet these can apparently take him down, this would have been acceptable if Bonnie and Stefan helped them. Also I don’t wanna hear excuses about vervain, Elijah ate a vervain grenade to the face.

@@MultitudeOfChaos facts in the Originals they only ever struggled against powerful witches like Freya, Dhalia, Vincent, And Davina, or groups of witches, but they always bodied groups of vampires easily, but in TVD u have Elijah losing to Stefan and Damon, Klaus getting overpowered by Damon, Stefan and Tyler, Finn dying to Matt, Rebekah getting headbutted by Elena strong enough to lose her grip on her, and Kol dying to Elena and Jeremy. Yet when Katherine was introduced she was rocking Stefan and Damon’s shit because of her age, the inconsistency is so irritating 🤦🏾‍♂️

Kol’s right his family is shit he died and none of them, not even Elijah the so called protector of his family tried to avenge him, even Klaus who said he tried to only made threats and then went on to do nothing. I understand perfectly why he wants to get back at all of them in the Originals and why he’s so hesitant to be there when Klaus dies.

This is the episode where I gave up on even taking TVD seriously. A baby vampire and Hunter taking out an Original and getting away with it?? Rebekah, Klaus and Elijah should have ripped their heads off. You would think that the loss of a brother would outweigh any doppelgänger hijinks. Then again they let them get away with murdering Finn so maybe they’re just horrible siblings.

Facts such bullshit I excused Finn since he was never a fighter and as violent as his sibling and he tried to kill his siblings but Kol literally killed all the vampires in the bar by him self, he killed an entire coven of witches who worshipped Silas, he took down all the vampires that had captured Rebekah in the Originals in Season 4, Them taking him down is bullshit, and Klaus not avenging him is crap

Kol wouldn’t have been easy to just put down without killing and he planned on chopping off Jeremy’s arm. Notice how quick Kol got to Elena’s house? He could’ve already been on his way there for all we know. Kol didn’t listen to Klaus the first time he was told to leave Jeremy alone and no way was Klaus getting there in time when Kol returned to the Gilbert house wanting to hurt Jeremy. He had been invited inside (which anyway had he not been invited in let’s not act like he wouldn’t have found a way), compelled her bf to kill her brother, and was trying to harm her brother.

They could've put Kol down by using the dagger and calling the originals. The entire time he was here they planned to distract him and called bonnie so they would use the stake here to kill him. The main reason why Kol died to get the cure not for revenge or to protect Jeremy , they sacrificed his sireline full of innocent vampires for that. Kol denied the truce because he understood he was being set up, that's why he called Klaus right after and told him that he was coming for him. *They were in the wrong here*

She wanted Kol dead for selfish reasons and she had no regards of the consequences, like pissed off originals or grieving vampires who lost people who died because they were part of Kol’s sireline. Trying to will easily result in them getting daggered themselves and they can't dagger (sleep dagger) Klaus because it doesn't work on him like it does on them. They absolutely care. There's a difference between 'you're alive but in eternal sleep and someday when we feel like it, you'll be reawakened' and 'you're dead and gone for good and we can't do anything about it'. Also Elijah wanted Kol daggered because as we learn in The Originals, he was a lose cannon drawing Michael to them with his non-stop killings but he certainly didn't want him dead. They care but they can't exactly subdue Klaus for long and he'll just come back petty and dagger them. Bottomline: they obviously care. So them no avenging Kol is for a different reason.

I haven't rewatched TVD in a long time! I've always liked that last scene in the Salvatore house. I'm pretty sure that was the last time we see Kol alive in TVD. *spoiler* when you start The Originals, I think you'll enjoy his story! PS: The nicknames you give places like the chamber of secrets and the 4 squares of doom, I love it, has me giggling every time!

vampires can't have children and sure, they can have living family and a life but most already lived it it's just like killing a ghost they are all literally already dead and i get that that could be seen as hypocritical because we care about the vampires in their own inner circle but elena wanted that to save the people she cares about damon and jer i guess klaus made an offer but i'd never trust him couldn't even trust trustworthy ellijah with his own family much less a wildcard like klaus and not to mention why are people only mad at elena when damon, stefan and kol also tried to all stake rebekah which would essentially result in the same thing? and also do we think bonnie even cares about killing vampires? hell no i guess elena executed the plan but that's literally it, she didn't even kill kol so yes, she's in the same boat as stefan/damon and kol himself

Hold on. First off, Elena was the one who brought up the moral dilemma of killing an original due to their sireline being affected as well but then she turns around and does it anyway saying she she's protecting Jeremy but she even says that it would get her the cure since Kol has a lengthy sireline as a reason for Jeremy to kill Kol. Not mention other stuff that happens and how she handled certain situations before this episode as well

I don’t like how easy they killed Kol but whatever I’ll accept it. Side note completely unrelated to TVD; I know you finished the Arkham series a few weeks ago and said you wouldn’t be playing Arkham Origins but I really think you should, it’s really good, it’s at the same level as Arkham Asylum for me and has some of the best Boss fights in the Arkham games and a really good story.

Stefan is extra funny when he´s not with Elena! Damen gets more boring when he´s with Elena. Funny x) I love Kol, he is like Klaus but maybe a little more crazy! I will never understand why they make the originals look so weak on this show. It makes no sense.

Literally everyone cares about the cure but people say Elena did it for her own benefit and selfish reasons. She didn’t even want Jeremy killing anyone to begin with (if you remember what happens in the episode at the miss mystic falls pageant) but if someone is going after her loved ones, duh she’s going to do something about it. Bonnie wants the cure for Elena/her mom, Klaus wants the cure to make more hybrids, Rebekah wants to be human, Stefan wants it for Elena and himself, and Damon and Jeremy are also doing it for Elena. I don’t get how some people in the comments pick and choose who they shift all the blame to and forgive characters for horrible things but attack Elena for caring about her loved ones.

Honestly, I think people hate Elena so much because they’re jealous of her😂 She’s a great character, and has lost so much, and as a 17-18 year old is trying her best to make the best decisions for her and Jeremy. She can’t control her feelings, and it trying not to hurt the bond between Stefan and Damon while also listening to her heart

まあCloud I agree with everything you said. People justify every other character but they will attack Elena for showing how people would realistically act and feel if they were in that position. Like it’s not her fault people love her and want to protect her. She really is such a great character and has been through so much yet all she ever cares about is her friends/loved ones.

I totally agree. Elena isn’t my favorite character but she doesn’t deserve the hate. She never really ask people to do things for her they just kind of do them because they care about her. If she was in their position she would do the same and people wouldn’t hate her as much it’s hypocritical

@@abriella3087 Yes! People always complain about how much the other characters suffer for helping Elena, when she never asked them for their sacrifices. She tries so many times to just offer herself, so that no one else would get hurt, but the other characters stop her and say “she’s selfish” and then proceed to do the same thing for her. And then she’s blamed for it?

まあCloud exactly, like people basically get mad at Elena for other characters actions that they do for her willingly but shouldn’t they be mad at that character? It’s bc they have no other logical reason for hating her so they will deflect, call her ‘annoying’ (all characters have annoying moments), and then call her ‘self centered’ as if she isn’t the most willing to die for her friends (which she did in Klaus’ sacrifice so that he wouldn’t go after them)

People generally interpret Elena's reaction to Stefan and Rebekah sleeping together as jealousy but I really don't think it was anything near that. It's the feeling of betrayal because Rebekah has tried to kill and has tortured her multiple times in the past (granted, as revenge but it wasn't really fair, instead of tit for tat, 1:1 sort of deal, Rebekah has continued to torture Elena throughout this entire season because she couldn't let go of her rage and jealousy). Either way, I don't think Elena was jealous one bit. She was mostly hurt by those actions.

i hate elena so freaking much in this episode like yea she wants to find the cure, but did she have to kill hundred or even thousand innocent vampires for her own benefits ? to find the cure that would make her a human again ? like she's supposed to be strong after everything she's been through, so she could totally live without the cure as a good and kind vampire like caroline. istg this episode really pisses me off because i kinda really liked kol 😭

She didn’t kill Kol for the cure, she killed Kol because he compelled Damon and was trying to kill Jeremy🤨. Yeah sure, she wants the cure to be human again, but Elena’s whole character is not wanting to lose the people she loves, and Kol was a big detriment to that. Elena has never been the type of person to kill another for her own selfish desires.

@@Cloud-ko9dh yes you're right that she wants to protect the people she loves but if kol was a problem, there are other options than just kill him, and also kill thousand of vampires that didn't deserve it. and she said in a scene, i quote "every vampire that he ever turned, not to mention every vampire that they turned, will die. which means the mark will be complete and we'll have our key to find the cure" or smth like that. so technically, she did want to kill kol to get the cure

Elena is supposed to be that nice, sweet, innocent girl with compassion and humanity etc. but when you actually think how many people have been hurt or died for/bc of her, it kind of changes things. In this episode especially they all killed an original=>(tens of) thousands of other vampires just to try find a cure that may or may not exist and releases a legendary villain in the process just because she "couldn't handle" being a vampire. Which is actually both bullshit and offensive to all other vampires she knows and supposedly cares about. Caroline is doing just fine and not going on murder sprees. I dont dislike her character but from time to time it is annoying. She's just always waiting to be saved without practically doing anything and then going around preaching people 10 and 1000 times her age for their morals and their actions. Cant even count how many times she would have died (permanently) if it wasn't fot the others

Everyone always complains about them killing originals on this show during rewatches and it's so annoying. Obviously they are made stronger on The Originals but The Originals comes after this before they even knew what they were gonna have take place on that show. Like you just have to think of them writing this show without the knowledge of The originals afterwards and also realize it's a freaking tv show. Things are going to happen naturally to favor the main characters of the show. The Originals are the antagonists at this point and some have to go. They needed a way to have Jeremy kill Kol and they made it happen, period. Obviously after watching the originals and going back this doesn;t seem feasible as Kol would have probably just killed both right off the back but they have plot armor at this point and you just kind of have to accept that. it doesn;t make this episode or that scene bad especially when watching for this first time.

“Why don’t you tell her to calm down Damon” acting as if Elena isn’t there and can’t speak for herself. She isn’t property and nobody gets to tell her how to feel. I didn’t like that line, it’s like in real life situations when people think saying ‘calm down’ will actually calm anyone down but here Stefan isn’t even addressing Elena, he tells Damon 😭

Well, had Damon told her to calm down, she actually would've calmed down, u'know because of the sire bond. And Stefan deliberately said that because he was angry of how she was reacting to him sleeping with Rebekah. I mean she has no right to mind who Stefan sleeps with if she expects him not to mind that she's sleeping with his brother not a day after the breakup. And why does she even questions Stefan how can he trust Rebekah? I mean when Elijah first appeared, she trusted him and included him in the plan despite Damon and Stefan not liking the idea, she even proceeded with things with how SHE thought was right without listening to them. Now when Stefan decides to trust Rebekah, she has the audacity to tell him not to do that but to again to follow her plan. I mean why does everytime everything has to go her way? Who made HER the boss? Stefan used to listen to her before because he was her boyfriend, now however, he doesn't need to listen to her every command. He can do whatever he feels like.
