It’s interesting how the questions about where bonnie is started to come up when they needed her to do a spell. I know they’re all friends but it’s frustrating to see how they all suddenly care about where she is when Stefan is in trouble. There’s always that person in the friendship group that everyone goes to get help from but they don’t receive any themselves because of their selflessness and independence.

Can we talk about Stefan and Caroline just being there for each other❤️

The fact that in the entire episode Elena and Damon keep telling Stefan to trust them and he ends them by saying that he actually only trusts Caroline

Wow! Elena really thought she could bring back Stefan's memories by reminding him about their hardly 2yr long relationship. Like Stefan didn't live for over a century before her. I love how the whole episode Damon & Elena tell Stefan to trust them, and in the end he says he trusts Caroline. I mean what did they expect after betraying him, breaking his heart, which forced him to move out & not thinking about him once the whole summer when he was repeatedly drowning & dying for months?! Love the Steroline moments btw. As always, no one thought about Bonnie once until they needed her for something. How convenient!

They played multiple repeat songs during the scenes elena was reminding stefan what happened between them. played the songs that were played in season one, some from the pilot episode when elena and stefan started to fall for each other lol. Thought that was a cool choice.

As a stelena fan I was pissed off with the writers for teasing us like that. And I bet even delena fans were pissed off. I think from this episode no one liked elena afterwards

Bonnie is the real hero of the show

Notice that Jeremy has never said anything bad about Damon to Elena. Caroline is jealous of Elena because Damon didn't want Caroline. And in the first season also Stephan chose Elena over Caroline.

Bonnie's funeral was utter bs by the writers. The dead don't eulogize the living. They are supposed to be doing that for her. Tell her what an amazing person she was. Tell her how grateful they all are for her sacrificing herself for them, endlessly until it cost her, her own life. They are supposed to comfort her and make her feel at ease to let go. Not the other way around. This was another bs attempt by the writers to undermine Bonnie's importance once again, like they always do. Elena's narcissism at not being remembered as Stefan's epic love is what made her push at triggering his memory about them. She was wrong for that. Damon being emotional about Bonnie had nothing to do with Elena. Idk who made his character say that bit, but Ian played it like it was Damon who was distraught over her dying. The fact that he didn't attack Jeremy for keeping that secret bottled up for so long, shows the influence and respect he amounted for her, but never verbally said it. Damon's always watched her in awe when Bonnie was doing her thing. Damon response to strength. Bonnie has that in folds, and she kept getting better each time she had to rise to the occasion. ...And got screwed over everytime for it. For me, Caroline will always be a Lexi 2.0. Not down with them as love interests. I do like the fact that since coming back, Jeremy has matured a lot....especially concerning his bond with Bonnie. Since he's been back it looks like his sister has barely noticed. She's so focused on having sex with Damon and nobody else matters. Everybody wanted Bonnie for her help for, but it wasn't until things got dire did any of them become more aggressively insistent. Makes no sense that the woman you claim to be a "bestie" to brings back your brother and you don't go off trying to find her in person or think something isn't sketch when you haven't physically laid eyes or hands on her in months to find out if she's ok? Seriously?! You don't call her mother and try to figure out what's up? And if she's laid eyes on Bonnie either? It doesn't make sense. Not even nosy Caroline's radar went off the whole summer? Your childhood friend has been incognito for months and it doesn't raise a flag that something feels off with that? Just how much did they value her? I like that Tyler came back to pay his respects. Especially after going through losing what's left of his family and feeling lost and angry. It's sad to say this, but I think they wrote about Bonnie like "Be glad we even bothered to have anything to honor Bonnie, even if we flipped it and had her celebrating the characters at her own wake/funeral/rememberance." It's disrespectful bs...

I used to be a Stelena shipper but you can tell she is no good for him anymore. I think the whole point of their relationship was that she was meant to help him heal but during their relationship she obviously falls for his brother and changes into an equal partner for Damon, which you can clearly see here Because they both stab him in the back more than once. This is really fucked up for her to do, I get that she's trying to bring his memories back but she could've told him how she wasn't afraid from a distance. Even tho she's not Katherine, she still messes with their feelings towards her. When Damon is told that Bonnie is dead, I got mad that he instantly says "Elena is gonna be crushed!". Yes Bonnie is Elena's bestie, I just wanted to see he react to it for himself and not make it about her.
