@@Web497 I actually agree with you in that I think Damon should be more vocal whenever he does something good, but I know he has a reason why he doesn’t. I understand that Stefan’s angry at everyone right now, but I still think him and Elena acted super hypocritical this episode. They are literally always harping on on him about being better and caring about people, but the minute he does they both get on his case and say that he’s ruining everything. It doesn’t matter what he does, somebody’s always mad at him regardless.

I understand that in this instance it was saving Matt but Damon has a pretty big tendency to overreact. Like he gets his feelings hurt and he’s laying in the middle of the road ready to kill some random girl for no reason. Like people tell him to care and he does and he goes too far with it.

@@Web497 I don’t think this is true . I agree that Damon should have trusted her but it also makes sense that Damon doesn’t want elena to meet alone with a powerful witch and an original. This is what the original commenter meant by no matter what he does someone is always mad. Damon doesn’t need to scream out his good deeds and he prefers not to, there’s nothing wrong with that. Also Stefan got in his own way with elena because even with the Klaus issues she still held on.

Even if he had good intentions and was thinking of Elena's best interests, he had no intentions of ever returning to Mystic Falls when he said it. He absolutely intended to end their relationship when he said it. And, frankly, even if he'd never said it, IMO their relationship was already over before that. No matter what Stefan's reasons for leaving were, if I had a boyfriend who disappeared and didn't even attempt to contact me for months, I would consider our relationship over and would be 100% free to date anyone I wanted to.

Just say that you don't want to accept the fact that Elena cheated on Stefan with his own brother, while he was gone for the sake of that brother. And also acted like she's waiting for him, when all she was doing is flirting with Damon in Stefan's absence. Even Alaric, Caroline, Bonnie, everyone saw that.

I think it had more to do with Damon’s reaction to seeing her and also Stefan linking arms with her rather than just them putting dramatic music bc anyone looked better than the others.

yeah she shouldn't have but she knew rebekah could have potentially screw up the plan logically so she did what she had to do if you take emotions out of it (likely stefan saying elena or damon's humanity would screw up the plan is what led to elena doing that) katherine is so jaded because she's the doppelganger and has been running for years and years AND YEARS and klaus basically killed anyone and everyone she loved so she couldn't get attached to people this has just happened to elena and she realizes all the people she cares about are put at risk just being around her because klaus will always need elena around for her blood elena may becoming more jaded but you can't really blame elena nor katherine for it this has just happened to elena so she hasn't had the long immense amount of time like katherine to change people don't change that suddenly and i personally can't blame elena for wanting to kill any orginal when they are going after the people she's closest too most people would if it means keeping those they love alive even if it means others will die it doesn't mean elena doesn't let any love in like katherine but even if she was exactly like katherine i don't blame either one of them because of how their the doppelganger and have been used or hunted their whole lives and the people around them have to pay no matter what they do it would be easy to become that way sure, katherine relishes in it because she's had all this time to realize her ways and know how it's going to be and has lived with this longer than elena & ellijah is a simp for the doppelgangers we been knew so obviously he's going to save elena

Agreed completely. I still don't know how people just ignore all this & continue to defend her. Seriously, Stefan and Damon both should just let her go. They both deserve better.

My first watch of the show I had ship preferences for the main 3. By my second or 3rd rewatch and ever since I've just wished they all learned to go their separate romantic ways by S2 and that the focus was jsut the brothers being the brothers and finding other great characters like Rose or Lexi to bond with and get close to. S6 kinda gave us that for Damon and I love who Stefan gets close to later though I didn't ship them romantically (not saying who bc I dont wanna spoil in case Jeremy reads through!). I kinda like the idea of a show that starts off with heavy romantic tropes ending without a focus on the main romances at all.

@@daraakindele9053 none of them aren't innocent but the problem is Elena does the same thing katerine does, which is, always make that innocent face and say "I cannot lose you both." or "I will not chose otherwise i will lose one or both.". if she can't make the decision she's literally giving stephan hope and then she goes out keeps kissing damon and then she gives damon hopes and then goes out and kisses stephan. all the time. everyone in mystic falls knows that and some times they even tell elena that but she only care about herself. not everything is about her but she wants it to be about her. caroline have told her that, rebecca have told her that but in elena's mind is "What can i do to make this about me ? hmmm". "It will always be stephan" yeah that aged well, didn't it ? damon is literally a puppy chasing elena and elena knows that and allows that. even klaus have told her that. matt too. jeremy, jenna, ric and bonnie as well.

For women they’d often use a variation of ‘-dottir’ for daughter, but in this case they stuck with Mikaelson, probably because it sounded good
