Lied to his siblings because of fear of them hating him forever and not because it was some evil plan of his. Klaus is just a very damaged person with trust issues and extreme paranoia. But that does not mean he didn’t love his family

Klaus es fear of abandonment because of everything that happened isn’t really something that he could just learn because he was a thousand years old. Same way Rebecca fell In love way to easily. It’s just the way they are. Klaus was constantly paranoid and every time he feared being a abandoned he daggered his siblings. They promised each other to stick together always and forever but in his head he knows if they were to leave him their dad wouldn’t chase after them but only Klaus. I’m not saying Klaus hasn’t done terrible things. Every vampire has. U can see that controlling ur personality as a vampire is hard. Klaus felt betrayed by his own mother. If his own mom can abandon him so can his siblings. It’s that thought process which makes him act the way he does. In the end hope was the one that truly changed him and saved him from himself. You say he had a 1000 years but it’s not that easy. For example let’s not act like Stefan wouldn’t be a ripper to this day if he never met lexi. Lexi saved him and thought. But if never ran into her the only other person I think could have saved him would have been Damon and that might not have happened for who knows how long.

Kind of makes me jealous I don't have a recording of my initial reactions to these things. But I did watch it at the time so I don't think I as a 13 year old would have had great enough perspective🙄

@@MrSupertallblackman LMAO, if you are suggesting that Damon wouldn't sacrifice himself for Stefan, and that only Stefan would do that for his brother, I don't really think you have paid attention at all. So to answer your question: I would imagine that we ALL remember that Stefan made the deal with Klaus to save Damon's life, and sure that was obviously a selfless and loving thing to do. But Damon has spent his time chasing after Stefan, cleaning up after his kills to keep him out of trouble, and desperately trying to get him back from Klaus while also keeping Elena from being discovered, and risked his life to give Stefan and Elena just a moment to talk while he distracted Klaus. He gave Elena her "Stefan" necklace back, and now he is telling her that there is still hope for Stefan and that he betrayed them for a good reason rather than allow Elena to give up on his brother... I think Damon is just selfless in a way that amazes you if you truly get how much he loves Elena, yet how quickly he would help her keep her faith in what her and Stefan has. SLIGHT SPOILER WARNING Not saying that I don't think Stefan can be selfless, because to me he has the ability to be equally as selfless as his brother. For me though, Stefan has a disadvantage in the sense that he can, at times, come across as a little full of himself, feeling like he is the "good brother", like Damon is beneath him and unworthy of Elena's love. Damon is the opposite- he does his good deeds as quietly as possible, doesn't want credit for it but will downplay it to avoid people starting to view him as good, he feels his brother is the better man, will play the bad guy to spare his brother from the backlash of making the hard choices, and feels that Stefan is more worthy of Elena's love than himself. To be fair I think Stefan gets better later on, and even ends up calling Damon the better man, so in the end I feel they are very much equal - at least I very much love both Salvatore brothers, and the bond they share. 😍

Why, because his bond with Caroline and Matt is just so much deeper than his bond with Stefan?! I mean, COME ON! He risks his life with Klaus so Stefan and Elena can have a chance to TALK, and you don't think he would risk his life for Stefan for even more dire reasons than him being on a blood binge with Klaus??? SOILER WARNING! He LITERALLY stabs and kills himself to save Stefan and Elena, offering his soul to Cade, and you have the audacity to claim he wouldn't sacrifice his life for Stefan when he has done even more than that, he was willing to sacrifice his SOUL after his death too. You don't have to like him, but you do at the VERY least have to acknowledge that there is no question that he would die for his brother in a heartbeat when you have been shown that over and over again.

@@Slixkk i’m as calm as it gets buddy, even after 3 years. I just understand context of things, that’s it. “Overlooked” is a strong word when Damon and Elena themselves know what Stefan did it for and how he was under Klaus’ shitty leadership. And as much as Damon’s little fans love to think he’s always there and does everything for her and literally overlook everything, it’s the same with Stefan then, fair is fair. He didn’t want Klaus searching for Elena or knowing about her. He did what he thought best (smth he didn’t want to do as well as we see from the final scene). But Damon’s bad things are done as sober and as conscious as possible, so yes, it’s sad how big the difference is between treating the brothers and their actions after season 2 just because Elena develops “feelings”

Stefan and Elena are broken up at this time. Remember when Elena and Damon went to see Stefan at the bar when he was with Klaus and Damon tried to distract Klaus. Stefan said "I don't want to see you, I don't want to be with you, I just want you to leave." to Elena. His own words not mine.

I mean this guy is mad at Damon because he kissed Elena when Stefan broke up with her after she tried for months to get him back, has recently shown no interest in her, kidnapped and tried to kill her and all of a sudden this fool is mad at Damon. I'm a Salvatore fan (more Damon) and I hate it when these Stefan fans give him a pass on everything but then hate Damon for every mistake he makes. Y'all need to grow up fr!
