Stefan will do everything to make Elena happy and to make him look " good" Whereas Damon just want her to be safe. When it comes to life and death, especially from supernatural -you don't care about Choice of your loved one. He will let her hate him.

Yes Damon is pissed off,and rightly so..Stefan let Elena die rather than saving her,cause he would rather her be dead than her hate him..Elena almost died a second time because of Stefan (he knew she had to turn) but can’t sa NO..

Let's try this into a different perspective of why Stefan keeps letting Elena do her own thing when it comes to decisions even when it comes to life and death. So I think Stefan lets it happen because he didn't respect damon's choice of not wanting to become a vampire and just die as a human being, so that backfired as you know and damon wanted to make stefans life hell and hated him for it, so stefan obviously always felt guilty for taking damon's choice away, and he probably thinks that if I don't respect my girlfriends choice like how I did my brother he would feel that same type of guilt and thinks he was being selfish again to another person he loves. But my problem is Stefan could have grabbed both at the same time. You can't have a double standard on if Damon just saves Elena no questions ask but not respecting her choice to die for someone else, when Stefan did the exact same thing of not respecting damon's choice to die but saved him anyway.

@@Shanyia1105yet Stefan would take Damon’s choice way again if he could. He did it in season 2 when Damon would have much rather die than have Stefan give himself over to Klaus to save him! Stefan loves Damon more than anyone in the world including Elena and I think Damon loves them both the same deep way which is why they would both get the my way or the high way treatment.

Technically speaking, the gene does not extend from the Gilbert family, its branched off of their father’s brother, whom is Elena’s biological father but only by breeding with a petrova descendant Isobel, that’s linked through Katherine’s descendant.

Another peak season, probably the last one besides S6 tbh. I dropped the series at S5, then came back because I wanted to watch the originals aswell.

S1-S6 are peak tvd. S5 gets little messy but still fun to watch. S7-S8 are unwatchable

@@anianiani0 S7 unbearable. S8 had a few good episodes. S9 was trash besides 3 episodes that are arguably the peak of the series

so excited for this season’s reactions! edit: no, jeremy’s descendants couldn’t be dopplegangers because he’s elena’s cousin through her father. Elena’s doppleganger blood comes from her mother, isobel. Elena has pierce/petrova blood but Jeremy does not.

It was blocked in I believe 2 countries so that must just be bad luck unfortunately 😭 if you have access to a VPN I think it should let you watch it though

So you were not able to even scratch the surface of the complexity of this show. I study psychology and this show blow me away by how ingeniously the characters in this show has been written and I’m even writing a book about it. The book is about the dynamics in a narcissistic family and we talk about the tv shows that talk about this topic in depth and TVD is one of them.

@@anianiani0 I love all the seasons, I believe TVD is like a jigsaw puzzle and every season gives you some pieces of the puzzle and you have to watch all 8 seasons completely so you could put the pieces together and complete the puzzle and finally understand the full picture, but if I had to pick my favourite seasons, I would choose 2,3,7 and 8, those are my absolute favourite seasons but I love them all.
