Nice reaction. I like flashbacks in TVD too. And as hard as it was to watch Klaus dagger Rebekah, it was worse watching Stefan do nothing to stop Klaus.

Stefan is the only vampire that never learned to control his blood lust..his animal diet keeps him weak and constantly craving blood,which is what vampires need..always falling off his diet and ripping heads off..Damon is teaching Elena how not to kill..

Wouldn’t say Stefan’s the only vampire that never learned to control their bloodlust. He is one of the few vampires that tries to only consume animal blood to keep himself in check, though (until Legacies because a lot of the vampires shown are on the bunny blood diet, they are pretty much forced though lol). Kol, for example, had 1000 years to try to control his bloodlust and never did - never tried to and didn’t want to. But that gets shown/talked about more on The Originals. There’s another ripper vampire shown later in S7 TVD. And there’s ripper vampire(s) in Legacies.

@@BrightStick14 Stefan is still falling off the diet 145 years later,that’s not someone in control..he’s the only vampire in tvd that consumes animal blood,I’m only talking TVD I’ve never watched legacies..even Stefan’s ripper mother drank human blood..Mikel drank from other vampires,and he was in control,all of the vampires on tvd was in control except Stefan,the one killing bunnies,except when he fell off bunny diet,then he ripped people’s heads off..

Stefan is a ripper, he stays on the bunny diet to keep himself in check/his version of control (that he learned from Lexi, so she must've known other vampires who feed on animals and showed Stefan it's possible to live a healthy vampire life that way. She knew what rippers were before she met Stefan, she's the one who told him the term!), and when he consumes human blood (in S1, S2, S3, S4, and S8) he loses all control and goes on a ripper binge. But during seasons 5, 6, and 7, Stefan is perfectly fine drinking from blood bags (this is why I hate the Ripper storyline since it's so inconsistent and retconned).

What Damon is talking about here is moderation, you have to find a balance between your vampire nature and your humanity and suppressing either part of yourself could cause some serious problems. Because at the end of the day, vampires are predatory species. It’s not just because they need blood to survive, they literally have the urge to feed and kill and they enjoy it , it’s in their nature but they also have humanity at the same time that keeps them in check, that’s why they shouldn’t be treated as a complete monsters but they shouldn’t be judged by human standards as well. This is where moderation comes in handy , if vampires don’t suppress their vampire nature and let themselves enjoy it once in a while but don’t let it get completely out of control and don’t end up killing people, they’re doing a pretty good job, as twisted as it might sound for humans, but for vampires it’s a very natural and healthy way to deal with their cravings. Denying your vampire nature would not make the urges go away, it’s just building them up waiting for the time to explode out of control just how we saw it happened with Stefan because Stefan’s ripper problem is not something physical, it’s actually psychological and one of the reason for his ripper problem is suppressing his vampire nature. Feeling too much guilt for the natural way of feeding on humans ironically is more damaging than actually letting yourself enjoy it without any guilt. Moderation is the key and it’s up to any vampire to find a balance that works for them. In this case Damon was letting Elena enjoy herself and at the same time he was making sure she doesn’t kill anybody, she was completely in control and pretty much herself. Not every vampire would compel the one they’re feeding not to feel pain, she was high on blood and was enjoying feeding but at the same time she was making sure the person she’s feeding on doesn’t feel any pain, her compassion is still apparent. She was just having fun so this is what Bonnie and others need to understand, vampires should not be judged by the same standards we apply in human world.

Rebekah told this big giant secret that could kill all vampires. Why someone was nice to her for literally 3 minutes..... SO im sorry it sucks, but Rebekah is way more a liability then anything else. Plus she literally just admitted she was going to abandon her entire family not just klaus all for some random guy who then tried to kill her...
