@@melissagonzalez1414 her life was nothing her dad gave her baby away before she could even touch her and then she was being chased for being a doppelganger and she killed herself so she wouldn't die and went back then found out that everyone was killed by Klaus then she ran for the rest because she had nothing to look back to and that made her careless because she knew if she did she would die from Klaus so I would say that Elena was not having it as bad because she actually had family but Katherine had nothing for 5 centuries
I only rewatch this scene just for the part when Katherine twists Elena's arm, punches her, and throws her into the wall. I love Elena but that part was satisfying 😂😌
Everybody in the comments defending Katherine BUT Elena having a ‘life’ has absolutely nothing to do with Katherine. She had no reason to say or do that. Katherine chose her life she chose what she did who she ran from. That’s all on her.
Plus what a lot of people are failing to realize is yea Kathrine could have easily killed her off yes 100%, but she wanted to play with Elena and make her suffer. She saw what Elena had and wanted it for herself cause she felt ‘owed’ by Elena. However None of what happened to her (prior to meeting Elena) was Elena’s fault yet she choose to hate on her for having what she wanted. Elena was an easy target especially since she couldn’t go after the one truly responsible (klaus) without facing certain death and she knew it.
i think she's referring to the fact that stefan and damon fell in love with elena and fell out of love with her, which techinacally does have a lot to do with elena. with the whole "katherine chose her own life" thing, that question is debatable. whilst katherine did choose to become a vampire, it's because she would have died instead. katherine wanted a life, which is understandable since she hadn't even reached 20. she didn't choose to be a doppelganger, nor did she choose to be the object of a thousand year old psychpath's obsession. whilst that doesn't have anything to do with elena, and i agree, elena didn't steal her life in that sense, it does question whether or not katherine really had much choice after all.
Katherine have so many redemption era but ruined them for her obsession about Elena life she would have easily won me over with her going with her daughter Nadia but no her obsession got her daughter kill

This was the dumbest decision they ever made and I almost stopped watching after this. Katherine deserves her own show to be honest, a show that follows her entire journey from the beginning.

Elena is such a great fighter i mean this shows she can keep up and even beat vampires well above her age range. And since it's been confirmed and showed that both Salvatore brothers are superior to her that could be bonus proof that they are also superior fighters to someone like Marcel.
Never shown or stated and much less makes sense, Elijah said that Katherine could easily handle Stefan and Damon, Elena only won because the plot needed it, Katherine could behead her in the blink of an eye, both Salvatores were struggling against Katherine and even having an advantage, Julian once beat both Damon and Stefan at once and he was 40 years younger than Katherine.

I really, really don't understand how some people are so supportive of a character with absolutely no development and have the whole damn screen focused on her alone. Thank goodness Elena didn't overshadow the development of other good characters at all. Elena is a cheater, an egocentric, hypocrite, remember when she killed Kol for literally no reason? She may not have physically abused Damon or Stefan but she did psychologically and she also defended Damon after all the sexual assaults he did to Caroline. PS: This is not an argument defending Katherine's actions, in fact Katherine's obsession and insanity are unforgivable disgust, but at least for you to see that Elena is not Saint Elena.

Am I the only one that was rooting for Katherine in this scene. I swear I really didn’t like Elena that much until after she became a vampire and even then I didn’t like her that much. Katherine was a much better character and villain. That’s the only thing I could actually say I liked about the final season was that Katherine should have been the final villain of the show seeing as she was the first Major villain that was introduced. I just didn’t like the season that much cause it felt rushed.
