If you are a top 10 rider you are on some good juice, if you are a top 3 rider you are on some very good juice, if you are a tour winning rider you are on some elite juice.

Nice on Sed love the relaxed delivery !!! Always shot springers seduced to a pcp well two actually what a faf! Pumps bottles seals difficult maintenance how many will be running or have spares in 10 years ? There are antique springers out there still running just like your new guns will be in 40 yrs and delivering the same punch and accuracy got my eye on a 97!!!

You are right, and pcp shooters seem to change their guns regularly when something new comes out they gotta have it. If you get a 97 springer, you will keep it for life because they are one of the top springers, if not the top springer, and then it's all down to you to get your skills sorted. 👍

lol those Hw97s I’ve got two in .22 and .177. I agree with you about the smaller scopes i have taken off my big hawke scopes and moved over to Optisan CP 3-12x32 scopes absolutely the biz for HFT and the reticle is great for distance shooting out to 75 yards I can hit a 30mm target. The .22 are more sweeter shooting and carry more speed at distance. But the .177 has a really flat trajectory so you don’t really need as many sight marks as a .22 for your distances.

I had the Hawke Airmax touch 3-12 x 32, but the sf isn't working, so I've sent it back and hopefully swap it with the cp 3-12 x 32 like yours. The HFT is hard work with the wind and the rain, that's why I've stayed on the sticks at the moment. What pellets are you using, I'm using the H&N FTT .22 and .177 but I'm finding the 177 8.64 ate moving around a bit with the wind do you think it may be better with a heavier one.

@@SedEdwards .22 H&N ftt, JSB exact and webley accupell are all pretty good. As for .177 which I’m new to I’ve found they get blown about more so then .22 especially at 75 yards which is currently my nemesis in .177 really tricky but it’s extreme range for a sub 12 rifle. Most of the guys use JSB exact for .177 but I’ve had good groups at 50 yards with super domes and will be giving the FTT a go tomorrow. ( have heard a rumour that H&N Has tweaked it’s production to get more consistent pellets weight which is interesting). To be honest all pellets seem a bit of a muchness because changing brands will change your zero and once reset you get similar results all will do pellet on pellet at 15 yards, Oh and the ones to avoid are the gamo pellets. To get more accuracy work on being consistent being in the exact same position for every shot that makes a big difference and not forgetting to follow through (that’s not releasing the trigger until the pellet has hit the target.)

@sid35gb I was shooting with 2 old guys and the beginning of the year and they put me on to the H&N's the said they was a match made in heaven for the hw97 so I took the advice and they've been great but the last few weeks since the wind and changing scopes 40 and 45 yds is not as good. I think it's time to put my 2-7x32 back on till I get my scopes back from optics warehouse. 👍

@@SedEdwards I think the old guys are right about the H&N. And putting a smaller scope on is a good thing because it reduces parallax error because the light isn’t bent so much at the objective lens and being closer to the barrel helps as well if you’re running the correct height mounts I use mid height Sports Match mounts and Hawke tactical mounts both help with eye alignment so you’re looking straight down the centre of tube. as for things going tits up at 45 yards it’s probably all you. But do your idiot checks are all the screws done up tight and is everything setup correctly. When I change a scope I put the bottom half of the mounts on the rail first get them positioned correctly, then place a level on them to level the action, then attach the scope and line up the cross hairs with a plumb line then tighten up the mounting rings not too tight not to crush the scope tube.

You could use some pipe lagging on your rest tied on with cable ties, save fluffing on with a rag. I got the 97 in blue laminate, it’s an awesome bit of kit. I’ve been a Weihrauch man all my life having a few of them. But I’ve eventually just bought my dream springer the air arms pro sport in 177 and my god is it accurate pellet on pellet at 35 yards and this weekend I pushed it to 45 yards and it was still grouping like no tomorrow and that’s pcp territory! As I said I’ve been a Weihrauch man all my life but this pro sport is definitely on another level. I shot 22 most of my life but over the last 12 months I’ve been using 177 and I do a lot of pest control and I honestly wish I’d changed over years ago as using the right pellet they produce devastating results. Have you ever watched the field sports channel where they compare 22 and 177? I think it’s called pellet choice which is best and it’s really an eye opener and that’s what made me decide to change to 177, plus 177 pellets are much cheaper than 22. More a flatter trajectory and for an old git like me makes shooting much easier!

Yeah, I did try pipe lagging, but I didn't have the right size. My mate just got an air arms TX200 HC. He's had it a few weeks and is already his grouping has gone up a level, there was a left hand one in the shop when we went up to get his, I was tempted very tempted but I'll stick with these pair for the moment well maybe a short moment 😆. Ive just started doing a did of pest control but only rats atctge mo hopefully help the farmers out a bit next lambing session.. Just cos I'm a Veggie doesn't mean I can't help out, and it's better than poisoning rats .

@@SedEdwards definitely, with a well aimed pellet it’s definitely more humane, I’m not a poison fan either as you don’t know what might pick it up and poison that too. Yeh I’m a lefty too cost me extra for the privilege of owning one from new but definitely worth it.

I’ve got a hw97 I recently shot one that had been fully tuned by Sandwell field sports and that’s something else.

I welcome you. I also have both calibers. Great equipment. I have a question. Where did you manage to buy belt rings with a tension lever??? There is nowhere in my country. Regards.

Here's a link. If you shop around you can get them cheaper but make sure it's 14mm or 14.5 with a bit of tape around your under leaver not to scratch it. www.pellpax.co.uk/airguns/accessories/rifle-slings-swivels-studs/weihrauch-16mm-swivels-and-stud/7108 Good luck.
