There's a lot of black martial artist that haven't had their due, Ron Van Clefe and Jim Kelly came to mind but there's others who haven't been mentioned, they should be brought to the forefront
His movies are nothing but violent brawls. He diserves the nobility of martial art and science. He's just a blown up vagabond and throwback who belongs in the jungle
Michael’s reflexes and reaction time are second to none. He knows how to preempt an incoming attack and counter said attack with finesse. His techniques are shrewd, rigorous and effective. His versatility and overall athleticism is immaculate. Alternatively he would have made a great blade or black panther.
@@sherrillraymond7595 glad i’m not the only one impressed and baffled! 😂 I trained BJJ & Okinawan Karate. But I could never even dream of throwing a kick like that. I’d be in the hospital. 😂
@Notwoke651If you see his interviews, he basically says he likes his brain and wants it to function in his old age. He doesn't like the idea of the short shelf life of being a pro fighter.
@@ANSWERTHECALLOFJESUSCHRIST So what? He's still not a combat fighter he's a 'show' fighter. The choreography we all know is nothing like a real fight. As is he would get CRUSHED in any octagon or ring. Crushed. Period. If he trained MMA he might be good but this staged movie shit is not fighting at all.
So what the hell is an MMA fighter? This guy's got black belt levels in seven different martial art disciplines...Goju Rye, Shotokan, two different karate Styles, Taekwondo. Yes he is also an actor who does his own stunts and yes he does follow choreography. The great thing about him is he'll be able to do this for thirty or thirty-five years. He's not going to get into a cave and get his head beaten in like a moron so he'll lose half of his cognitive abilities by the time he's 40. And for what? People talk about MMA all the time yet there's no name that pops up like a Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali. Maybe that is an unfair analysis because the sport has not really been popular long enough for them to have a legend. But there is something to be said about longevity. And this guy wants to keep going instead of just sitting around and a chair drooling like all of the Mixed Martial Arts people will end up ten years after they step out of the ring. It's a shame
@@picallo1 this is a remarkably ignorant statement. He is trained in combat sports. He has trained in the same manner as MMA fighters. He is formally trained in several martial arts. You act like his training means absolutely nothing. He might not make it to be a world champion, but he could absolutely handle himself in the octagon without getting "crushed", you dork.
🇿🇦 I was handcuffed behind my back by the police in my own Wendy with force and I was took by the ambulance to the hospital where they took urine and blood tests which the results was normal. They didn't even gave me chance to get clothes and toiletry necessaries. I was in hospital for a week without soap, toothpaste, toothbrush and clothing and nobody cared. Nothing came from that afterwards till now. The police wanted to took me to their station at 8h30 pm at night to question me. ??😡👎 Sharon Coetzee.
11:30 irony is casey had no problem going off on MJ until he got his ass kicked... I think alot of people don't realize that giving and taking a beating goes both ways.
Michael Jai White shouldn't have said sorry when that Outher fool started in the first place and one thing that Outher guy definitely didn't have was self control of himself I've seen alot of Men Including woman going to a few Martial arts Tournaments in Brisbane Sidney Australia as well as Whangarei and Auckland New Zealand During the 80s and 90s I've been in a few myself as a Junior Intermediate in my younger days but Lucky i had My Uncle that allso been in a few Martial arts Tournaments himself During the 50s and 60 before he was deported overseas During the Korean war in 1950 to 1953 and my older sister's During the 70s and 80s and yes to me it was very hard especially when i had to Learn Karate Ninjustsu & Judo as well as aikido my uncle and my older sister's wonted me to Learn at least 4 Different Martial arts because each one of them have their own discipline and yes i had to explain everything to my Older sister's as well to my Uncle what I've Learnt from section from 1 to 10 it was like doing my homework all over again and yes i did cry because as Usual i thought i was going to fail this test but thanks to my Uncle and my older sister's they went easy on me
@@IFKMauritius thank you very much but it's my older sister's and my Uncle that should really take all the pride not me my sister's and my great great gran Auntie Te Wiki Toroa Edmunds and her son James Baker Colin Baker should take all the pride
@@AJPembertonof course it was it was like righting our Damme SAs but we had to explain ourselves if we liked it or not the 70s and 80s was a whole different world especially when you had a strict upbringing
The best of...why so long? Aesthetically, his movement is TERRIBLE to look at, like Chuck Norris. His acting is arrogance without substance, like Chuck Norris, he's C movie at best, like Chuck Norris. I NEVER understood the hype, really, but that's Holly Weird for you.
Love the guy at the end. Punk ass. What he should've said "Go f**k yourself because you didnt let me continue to be a cheap bastard and kicked my ass" Seriously the AUDACITY.
I love the way he took out those Racist American cops! And the clever one amongst them says "He's cuffed" hahah because he's thinking if they shoot him while he's cuffed, questions would be raised.
MJW is just more than complete for me . The Guy Kno his way about everything. He knows how to handle his equals, hiss sizes, fighters stronger than him, fighters bigger taller and heavier than him and on and on. He doesn't just fight to show what he got. He knows how to stop you no matter your technique and mastery.
No he doesn't. This is the movies not real life. As he is he would get his ass crushed in the octagon or any ring. Any of those cool looking high flying kicks would earn him a quick trip to sleepy town. Theres a reason why MMA doesn't look like this. Because THIS is fake.
@@thelegacyofgaming2928Except his little 'fights' he's been in are point fights. Nothing like actual combat, or boxing or MMA. If he'd actually been a fighter he might have been trouble, but he's not. He's an actor and martial artist and one thing we know from bullshido being exposed everywhere is that martial artists are not fighters. So no sir or ma'am he's in fact not that good. In the ring or in an octagon he would get absolutely crushed.
Michael Jai White is an absolute legend and martial art grandmaster!! Man, how I wish that he would play Spawn again!! The Spawn movie from 1997 with him as the main character is legendary!!🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
The movie is absolute dogshit lol, objectively speaking. Even MJW thinks so. It's definitely got that cult classic appeal though, and MJW is great in it, as he is in everything.
