Elizabeth at least brought in the other side, like her or not. Unlike with spoiled brat right wing establishment Meghan they don't have have someone as passionate as Elizabeth. Say what you will about her, like Trump, when they speak, they draw a crowd and people listen even if you don't always agree. The View used to be watchable, it's too hardcore radical left now.
It's syndicated, so it doesn't have a local sponsor like network television shows do. News and Current Affair programs also don't need to have as many commercial breaks.
True, even when she said Al Gore? You think Al Gore can get us out of this? People clapped, however, if challenged she wouldn't have been able to explain what she said.
Its so weird watching this a decade later, Joy could be talking about Trump for all we know, when she's going down that list. And he's even mentioned! Eerie.
Its so weird watching this a decade later, Joy could be talking about Trump for all we know, when she's going down that list. And he's even mentioned! Eerie.__________It's not Bush or Trump that Joy hates. It's ALL Republicans. It makes no difference WHICH Republican win the election. That's why people refer to her as Joy"less".
She's both Republican president's accountable for their how dare she hold anyone accountable for their actions. Let's not pretend that's it's just one Republican whenever she also calls out Democrats too if you really watch the show you'd know smh 🙄🙄
I love that @3:51 she insinuates that watching Dancing With The Stars distracts us from serious issues (which is probobly true)….then the producers get worried and show a reminder add for Dancing With The Stars. LOL
i notice Elizabeth was quiet when Joy brings up the important subjects, but when it comes to petty issues like watching tv and Bush reading to children, Elizabeth has a lot to say
@@midnightdeirdre Clowns just want to be liked so they stay away from hard-button topics because it risks them not being liked by all the people whose approval they desperately seek. It takes an emotionally resilient person to be able to discuss those three aformentioned topics and not compromise your own viewpoints while simultaneously continuing to stay respectful and friendly with the opposing side.
This clip never gets old. I know it was a painful moment for the ladies but it’s so raw and real. The difference between Elizabeth and Meghan is that you could tell their was true feelings and mutual respect involved amongst the panel. And Elizabeth could at least take a joke - she she had to laugh at 1:23 because it was funny, Meg would have thrown a fit and talked completely over Joy before she got through the list of
Meghan was spoiled and had negative energy, but she is still much smarter than Elisabeth. Elisabeth was never able to form cohesive thoughts and her smug attitude was also off putting.
What's funny is that Rosie & Elizabeth were on the same wavelength but THOUGHT they should be hating each other. Hence why they didnt completely fallout and still talk lol
Thank you! Rosie O'Donnell pissed off a lot of people, but she made us actually *think* about what was going on in the world and forced us to make our own opinions.
I remember laughing at Rosie 15 years ago. I was a kid. I guess I've grown up a lot because I feel ashamed for laughing at her and not being able to perceive the obvious truth she was espousing, that wasn't popular at the time.
@@SOBO-sq3nk she was pushing back on the American jingoism at the time and mass support for the Iraq war, that turned out to be sold to America on false pretenses and yielded very little benefit. Are you a moron?
@@SOBO-sq3nk not to mention that pushing back on the official narrative of the government has become en vogue, and at the time doing so was considered inherently “anti-American”.
my thing is... Elizabeth claims she's not the "poor little elizabeth" and tells Rosie not to portray her that way, but SHE's the one who portrays herself that way. Her ranting and raving is the reason why people think she's a little girl.
I remember watching this when it was in the headlines 15 or so years ago and it was deemed "heated" and "controversial". in retrospect, this shit is mad mild compared to what's said nowadays
how old is that Elizabeth Hasselbeck lady? She acts like she knows everything, and gets angry when someone doesn't agree...... what is she 5 years old? grow up lady!
It took too long for Rosie to return as a guest on The View. Elisabeth should have been canned and sent to FOX ages ago. Lord knows she was probably an agent for them on this show, as she clearly played "let's correct the liberals with false information since our viewing population are idiots" role perfectly.
outinsider *Oh make no mistake mate, she was paid very good money to push the official story of 9/11 and agenda. This dumb little girl pretending to be smart and innocent and "did all the research herself about that horrible day". BULLSHIT. She was paid to be annoying and to shut up/interrupt anyone who tried to offer their own opinions about the government.*
@@kathleenmaclachlan1541 Meghan McCain did this too. It's a panel talk show. I have seen other hosts on other networks do the same minus the intense scrutiny they receive.
I think Rosie was correct. After watching this once to hear their words, then a second time to focus on body language. Elizabeth is the one that kept the fight going. I remember when this happened and Rosie was made to look like the aggressor, but there are a few times where she not only says she doesn’t want to fight, but kept quiet and left a pause for the conversation to change. Liz keeps coming back at her, very aggressively.
Elizabeth was the first true Karen on tv. Always starting stuff and then crying about how she is the victim. Certain people used to fall for it but people have wised up.
@@scarlette_rot O'Donnell revealed that she had "little bit of a crush" on Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Bruce Glikas/FilmMagic O'Donnell made the revelation during an interview with author Ramin Setoodeh for the 2019 book Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of "The View" when talking about her relationship with Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Initially, when she joined the view Rosie had a crush on her but then we she realized she wasn’t making any ground in changing her closed minded opinions, they drifted apart as friends.
@@boomram4461 History will look back on trump being an unbelievable (and orange-faced) idiot but the REAL awful and truly EVIL person in the republican party that will be remembered in the same way Hitler was mentioned is that Old White Dick Mitch McConnell: what he has done to obstruct partisan politics with unabashed disregard for ethics and rules in favor of embracing FULL hypocrisy in order to fulfill the Right's Christian Conservative Bible-thumping hateful and racist propaganda has turned this country into a cesspool. He has NO true honor of patriotism, and cares more about the Party's ideals than to try to bring BOTH sides together in an effort to make this country progressive and fair to ALL who live here.
10 years since this was uploaded.. seems Rosie wasn't such the villain painted. In fact what I dislike is still that Elizabeth doesn't let anyone have a chance to talk Plus Joy still fighting the same battle now as she did here
Elizabeth believes what she thinks and says is the only right answer. I cannot sit and listen to her (or Meaghan McCain). I'd rather chop off my arm than have to listen to either of them. Stop!!!
looking back on this, she definitely didn't. Rosie has a big fat political mouth she should be ready for newscasters and pundits to pick her statements apart. she was crying because Elizabeth wasn't going in the news and on tv to defend her but why should she??? Rosie said it, she should be able to defend her own words.
It really was as simple as saying, “No, Rosie, I don't believe you think our troops are terrorists.” However, Elizabeth has an audience she has to pander to, so she continued to double-down to be seen as “right” instead of supporting a co-host.
Donald Trump has never hid his faults or has pretended to be something else he's not. He doesn't go make little apologies every time he says something not pc. The public elected him for exactly that reason, what they saw is what they were getting. No smoke and mirrors like the usual silver tongue, phoney politicians who talk out of both sides of their mouths.
@@JVenger yeah had nothing to do with voter fraud LOL. That's why they're still auditing the votes in AZ and funny how in the last 2 wks there have been questionable issues involving a recent election in NY & FL But yeah whatever you say. the are all war criminals. all of them. that is why they want to become president so they can profit from war industrial complex it means they will be wildly wealthy and never need to worry about which exotic island to vacation in again.. but once you are a war profiteer you are also a war criminal. they are all war criminals.
I remember when Trump won in 2016, I shared this meme of Bush raising a toast and saying "And you thought *I* was an idiot!!!" A liberal college friend of mine commented, "I'd take Bush back like a bad ex right now."
Rosie is the kind of person who preaches diversity, understanding, peace between nations, and true human charity. I am a 31 year old straight male but I watched the View every morning and that was because it was refreshing to see someone like Rosie get up and say the things that need to be said outload on national television.
Wonder where the mic audio from the aftermath of this backstage is .... Hope it comes out much like the Elizabeth and Barabara audio that has just come out after the morning after pill argument
Rosie was so calm while Elizabeth was shouting at her... I wonder how she could manage it. But I have to say, that red haired woman (sorry I don't know her name) was briliant. She could handle well the situation.
If only we had a crystal ball 🔮 and could see into the future. If they could see who’s in the White House now. I’m sure Joy would much rather have Bush than the guy in the White House now !!!!!!!!!
Ummmm Rosie wouldn’t let her talk! Or answer the questions she asked her! And Rosie needs to grow up and understand that she’s an adult and when she says something and puts a statement out there that people twist it’s HER job to defend herself not Elizabeth!
@@tylerjohnson4987 I watched this for the first time and Elisabeth is definitely rambling widely to avoid the question and Rosie is just reacting, she wants the truth and Elisabeth is not letting it go
@@tylerjohnson4987 I read the transcript. Whatever was going on that night, Elizabeth couldn't stop for a second to just compose herself and let anonye else talk. Maybe this was just planned. But reading her sentences...man that's a lot of words for saying not much
@@tylerjohnson4987 btw I have no opinion about these women. And people not making sense and not being eloquent all the time but instead firing away because they feel hurt or overwhelmed, that's a good thing to see on tv, I think. It's very human and we all are like that sometimes.
Rosie made one of the best decisions of her life by leaving that show. The View is nothing but a pathetic and toxic enviornment. All they do is fight and yell over one another and Elizabeth is one of the most narrow minded people I have ever seen.
I always come back to laughing at how Joy handled this whole thing. The show was falling apart live, and her humor managed to break the tension. "Oh my God! Who's directing this show???Let's go to commercial!" She was great.
If you’re a millennial still alive, you probably know someone who took their own life from guilt for what they did to innocent Iraqi civilians. I know several. Most of us do.. we have to do better. We have to collectively stop tolerating all these rich peoples made up wars on the wrong people for greed..
The bit with Joy at the beginning was haunting because it was so similar to a segment you’d hear about Trump. Kinda shows how little we’ve come since then.
really like Rosie and agree with her politics very much, all the way. I'm really surprised that she made such a big deal over this particular argument or what ms Republican thinks about what she feels or thinks. and they can still be friends even if ms Republican think she thinks whatever...whether or not the troops are terrorist. personally I think our invading troops are indeed terrorist even if they are brainwashed into believing they are doing a good thing. maybe I'm mixing something up about the argument but i think Rosie is overly emotional . her positions are good positions. she is very intelligent and her heart is in the right place and she was great for this show
