Bill Oreilly started a fight on the View today with Joy and Whoopi when he attacked all Muslims about the New Multi Faith Center being built in New York Near Ground Zero. He was his normal self lumping all people in as Terrorists.
Bill O'Reilly is welcome to his own opinion and to expressing it -- freedom of speech applies to all, good/bad, right/wrong. That doesn't make him an informed or intelligent man though....
***** That's assuming that everyone who graduates from Harvard is intelligent. In any case, being intelligent doesn't always imply that a person is informed and objective....
mkrulic517439 His racial/ethnic stereotyping and profiling (as well as yours) is completely bogus. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but that doesn't make it right either. His statements are akin to saying that all Germans were Nazis in WWII. Or that all Japanese Americans were spies during WWII (which partly resulted in those shameful detainment camps...).
You can't have a discussion with Bill, you can only try to yell louder because HE DOESN'T SHUT UP. Bill tries to slip you up by throwing multiple arguments at once so you get jumbled and lose track of which topic your talking about first. Notice how even when Barbra was trying to lay the ground rules he STILL WOULD NOT SHUT UP. He interrupts you to throw off your thinking.
***** With that logic in mind, you hold no right to say the the KKK isn't a Christian organization because the members founded it on Christian principals. Much like America, most of the founders of the KKK were believers in god, yet there are people who will claim that they are not true Christians. If you subscribe to that philosophy, then you revoke your right to logically say that Al-Qaeda and ISIS and so forth are Muslim organizations.

So what are you saying? I'm saying that in the US, white people are the most dangerous, but that fact is ignored and ''swepted under the rug'' by all media
The probem is not that, he's telling the truth. If a black man kills your father, or someone close to you. Or a group of black men or white men killed people. I can't say "white men killed us" because that's associating all white people in one group. And that's offensive and rude and wrong. Because they don't even know if it was muslims who did it. But if it was, it should the people who did it, who should be held accountable not what religion they were a part of.
I tend to be rather left in my views, so I haven't seen a lot of Bill Oreilly, other than stuff like this on You Tube. But, for some reason, I like him. Obviously, I don't always agree with his points of view, but he always comes across as real to me. I understand where he's coming from. I think he's a good guy.
He is a good guy. He's for neither Republicans nor Democrats, he's for the people and one of the only people on television who leads commentary with a basis in common sense. You should watch the O'Reilly factor sometimes, it's one of my favorite shows.
I have seen OReilly factor clips here on You Tube, Renay Simpson , I realize a lot of people dislike him. And again, I am pretty liberal. However, while I might not always agree with his point of view on various topics, I think he is a decent man, with integrity. I think he brings up good points that make me think.
taergehtsiram A lot of people do dislike him however I think that has a lot to do with how critical he is of Obama. If more would stop listening to what other people tell them and start thinking for themselves, they'd see O'Reilly is one of the few truly wanting to see America operating at it's full potential. O'Reilly is critical of anyone who makes obviously wrong decisions and those who lie to the American people. He was critical of Bush as well yet there was no Al Sharpton jumping out of the wood-work to label him a racist back then. What kind of democracy is this if we can't question our own President about obvious missteps and outright lies without being labeled a racist? I know this much, I'm tired of being labeled a racist and I'm tired of hearing the Bush blame game, Congress blame game, or whoever fits the bill for that particular debacle blame game. This really has nothing to do with the context at hand but I want to say it anyway. I find people who revert to the "You're just a racist" retort to be feeble-minded, juvenile, and clueless.
Steven D Respectfully, you don't know what you're talking about if you actually believe Bill O'Reilly is racist. You know, it's a sad state of affairs when there are so many people out there like you who refuse to do the research and think for themselves. If you had taken just a few moments to look into the charitable work Bill O'Reilly has done you would have seen for yourself that he is not racist. Yeah, sure you're not T'd off because everyone doesn't think the democratic party is the messiah this country is looking for.
Donating to charity, doesn't make you exempt from being a racist and if you think that you are simply ignorant. Not racist? A Mexican immigrant kills someone drunk driving and Bill focuses on the fact that he was a mexican! Id that isnt racist what the fuck is? Regardless, he is a borderline fascist republican bigot and propaganda machine, as I've already stated. And I'm not a democrat. You make very broad assumptions about my political views based on my merited criticisms of Bill. I am not a democrat, in fact I think Obama is a complete coward, just like the democratic party as a whole he is simply a moderate conservative. Not even close to half the president people hype him up to be, however I would have voted for him over the abortion-protesting religious bigots that make up the majority of the republican party, end of story.
How can one write such an ignorant comment, and simply fail to explain themselves? Who are you to state that their ideology is evil, you insignificant weasel? What ideology, it astounds me that someone like you exist. 'Lets keep supporting them' HAHAHAHAH! You're insane, get off this site, if you're willing to repeal someones right, you hypocritical Hippo your evil also.
Well, what can you do folks. People will write about something they've never even read. There should be a rule or something about that. If you haven't read a book yourself, don't comment on it. All religious books make you read between the lines, have your own perception. The Bible, Qur'an, Torah, etc. If you've read a book that makes you perceive a certain way, you may have the same view as someone else or you won't. It's interesting because when you read what other's say online, like Laura Kane who obviously hasn't read ANY religious books so I'm assuming she's atheists because she clearly hasn't read the Bible or any other religious book. Read, then comment. Be smart, not a troll who continues repeating other's words and perception. If you want to have an argument based on religious books and lets say you follow the Bible, I'll gladly have a debate of the Qur'an and Bible. I'll leave with you one prominent fact, there are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world. Obviously not even 0.01% of the population is apart of the Islamic terrorists groups. Don't be ignorant, please. It's degrading to society.
@@andreaskarlsson5251 sexual predator lol. Even if the claims are true he never touched anybody. Not saying it's right but if you use words like that too often they lose their meaning. Every man is a sexual predator
@@andreaskarlsson5251 I don't know. We weren't there. And I could really give a shit less lol. Uh oh he talked dirty to employees. Better execute him. He was fired and I'm fine with that. Like I said I never really liked him to begin with. I love it how you people act like you know what the fuck you're talkin about lol
I don't particularly care for O'Reilly or agree with all that he says. HOWEVER, in this interview, he was being attacked from all sides for stating his opinion. They were insulting him and the two walked off because they did not agree with his opinion. That is rather childish. Instead of listening and then politely disagreeing and then stating their opinion, they resort to name calling and storming off set which even one of the ladies claimed was wrong. O'Reilly was the composed one in this interview and the adult one along with the other two ladies who had an open and fair discussion.
Not as childish than what he does. In the past when he disagrees with his guest, he just unplugs their microphones. In some cases he has taken them off the show all together.
Jessica Colter Name the episodes and date that he does this. He always lets the other side talk on his show. Probably why it's the highest rated show 13 years straight in that time slot and why CNN/MSDNC viewership is down 1000%. I don't much like Oreilly, personally I think he's an asshole. But he does give equal time unlike Anderson Cooper, Erin Burnett, Sharpton, Matthews and all those other goofballs whose ratings are in the shitter!
Jo Jo Dancer You apparently don't watch his show much. He does it quite often. Telling me to name episodes of when this happens is ludicrous. Its not like I sit down and write it down every time he does this. But if you want an example, go to youtube and look up Outfoxed: Fox News technique: cut their mic! He is in there somewhere saying OK cut his mic. I have personally heard him do this a number of times.
When anyone interrupts me, I wait for the person to finish and then ask: Are you finished? I allowed you to finish without interrupting me. May I speak without you interrupting me?
I respect Barbara Walters for immediately bringing attention to the fact that Whoopi and Joy weren’t acting accordingly in this situation. I don’t blame them and I understand not wanting to continue a conversation with someone who frustrates you. But not being able to have a discussion from opposing sides is part of the reason each side gets demonized as it does today. We’re all Americans and we should see each other as countrymen even if we deeply disagree on topics. Leaving heated discussions and proceeding to isolate yourself in an echo chamber of people who only agree with you( not saying that’s what they did but it happens to a lot of people who get into political arguments or issues they’re passionate towards) is not beneficial for anyone much less the country as a whole. I’m not talking about a utopia where every American has civil discussions and can be mature in arguments with people they dislike on a daily basis. I just thought it was important for Barbara to highlight that they, as well as other people in the spotlight that influence Americans, should strive to set an example. If we see people storm off in our lives then constantly see people storm off on TV many people will think that’s the way it’s supposed to be and never attempt to have tough mature arguments. I feel like they came back out because Bill apologized and clarified, but also because they felt Barbara was right and they had made a mistake.
So if we blew up a building in Iran with 3000 people in it and then planted a Christian church on the site 6 months later thats not an issue, you see no problems with that? You liberals are so insensitive honestly , also they walk off their own show? You see this as a good move? yea buddy
I gotta say, I really don't understand why Joy and Whoopie walked off. Of course I understand frustration in hearing viewpoints very different from our own, but should it really shock or affect ANYONE that there are those among us who do? Now throw in that they know Bill's world view is very different from theirs. And here's the kicker - they are talk show hosts! I didn't check the time on the video prior to watching, so really expected there to be a long thread of nasty interactions that caused TWO hosts to walk off. No, one or two comments from O'Reilly was all it took. PATHETIC.
“There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.” - John Adams, 1789
How can you call a conversation intelligent when there is a right wing nut targeting all Muslims. Then again, any conversation/argument of the 2 main parties against each other is straight up stupidity. And that's why I'm thankful I'm independent.
Even if we all agree that radicals killed 3000, then even non radicals can understand that a gravesite is a bad location for a radical symbol. Non-Muslims are not fully convinced that some Muslims are peaceful and others are radical heretics. There is no simple means to distinguish one from the other. What is certain is that both claim to worship the true Islamic faith and both build mosques. If there is any sort of shrine or chapel at ground zero, it should be non-denominational, not affiliated with any religion. The dead and their families are multi-cultural.
I like how people hate Bill O'Reilly. He actually has proof. A smart team behind him. I agree with Bill. Obama can't keep blaming Bush. Obama could have fixed things. This show is ignorant. I hate the view.
dito7347 felt the same way, if the guy was right/ wrong doesn't matter, have respect on your own show, and debate like adults! guy could not barely talk...5 women on 1 guy...lol. then walk off, rude! everybody has different opinions on everything...just need respect, and better communication... "politics" is such a bad topic regardless, especially these days!
Geoffrey Crawford wrong sir. 4 or 5 cannot match a conservative, but they can silence you by being louder...literally...then call you the fascist....oh the irony.
Number of "Christians who act like Westboro Baptist Church= not even a 100. Number of muslims who support and join groups like al qaeda = millions. Thats the difference West Boro Baptist Church. Does not behead people. They do not shoot young girls for going to school. The list goes on and on. Let me ask you. How many muslims do you know? Having grown up in the middle east i know thousands. And let me tell you even those moderate cheerful ones who greet you with a friendly smile hate you. The only sad part is you will never know until it is too late.
Bill O'Reilly did not compare every Muslim to al-Qaeda. But you need to ask yourself: who committed the attacks on 9-11-01? Who killed 18 of our troops in Somalia (Black Hawk Down) and wounded 73 of them in 1993? Who committed the attacks on our military base at the Khobar Towers in 1996? Who attacked our embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998? Who attacked the USS Cole in 2000? Who killed 13 soldiers at Fort Hood? Who tried to set off a bomb on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 over Detroit on Christmas day in 2009? Who tried to set off bombs at Times Square in 2010? Who set off the Boston bomb during the Boston Marathon in April of 2013? Who attacked our consulate in Benghazi and killed our ambassador and 3 other US diplomats. They were all Islamic radicals and/or Muslims. Nobody is judging anybody. Just look at the facts.
Becuase even their own co-host Barbara Walters condemned that sort of behavior basically as unprofessional and childish. If you can't handle opposing views to your own (dialogue) why in the hell are you on a national TV program discussing "the issues/politics"? They only want people who agree with their very narrow wold view, everyone else is WRONG and RACIST and ALT RIGHT and BIGOTED Nazi's. This is exactly what is wrong with Neo-Liberalism and the LEFT these days. The View, Whoopi and her cronies need to be taken off the air. ASAP
She may have handled it correctly but to call her a real journalist is laughable. Shes a celebrity journalist and TV personality, and a big reason for trash shows like TMZ
bill oreilly is the dumb shit who is against freedom of religion which is against the constitution. See he even back pedaled after Barbara called him out
Individuals like Bill O'Reilly are the only reason I would watch this program. Someone has to be candid about the political garbage that is transpiring now.
FIRST...in 2010 Obama had only been President for a year and some change... Second...while I will agree that Bush's name is spoken a lot and it doesn't need to be again, ever, in life...A lot of it is because people can't distinguish who did what legislation. Obama signed the Patriot Act into law...um no he didn't...He signed Tarp...um no he didn't...people THEN have to go and say NO BUSH did that, not all of this mentions but a good number of them are because of that...Obama has made mistakes though...but who was our alternative...?
I don't always agree with Mr. O'Reilly, but he does back up his statements and he does use common sense and logic versus only expressing emotion. It is refreshing to hear someone express common sense and logic versus the politically correct nonsense that so many people blindly follow. Thank you.
Listen I’m Jewish and I could tell you were not enemies anymore our people are actually at a very good place not the best place but better than it used to be
How TF does this show stay on the air? It's like a Karen convention, and the audience claps for _EVERYTHING_ they say, like it's made up of demented seals.
Of course not. It's all just a bunch of hot air being spewed by a bunch of leftist shit talkers who seem to think that because we've seen them on TV, their words have more meaning when in truth, they know less than we do about most things including politics. The only one I know of that has left the country is Matt Damon. No big loss, most of his movies suck anyway.
@@thenjtsaid4681 if facts and common sense as ignorance guess your right lol ,none the less its your show and if you cant stand on what your spewing without getting triggerd ummm yeah bad look. No matter how you try to spin it still bad look.
Mosque inappropriate on 9 11, says a Bill O'Reily on a chair full of women. The stance Whoopi and Joe took is one for the ages. Thank you and bless you.
i know it’s been 2 years but come on. it really sounds like your generalizing. yes, some muslims twist their scripture to form radical views. christians did it to the bible by defending slavery with it. that does not mean we should condemn all muslims or condemn all christians.
Emotional reactions are inside first. Then they come out. A disciplined response might be to use words in your turn to argue the point. Otherwise you are only an emotional and rude woman.
+azainho makahue Are you assuming I am christan? I totally agree with you, religion has been nothing but a historical and present day blood bath and will be nothing more than that .
