I don’t know why, but it gave me a good chuckle to imagine the Villain getting flustered as his new partner takes it upon themselves that if he’s going to run the kingdom in the future, he will not run into the ground on their watch.

"After tonight, you will be mine'" Jokes on you, I'm your problem now, 'Darling'.

Villain: "I'm the bad guy." (cue Billie Eilish song)

Now this is the best kind of villain Not only one who doesn't hide that he's evil, but respects his future spouse. Because (and say it with me) RESPECT IS SEXY! Lol I also may have created a head cannon whilst listening.

As she gazed upon her reflection, all she could do was clench her fists, face the ceiling, and weep in silence. Sure, her gown was one-of-a-kind, flawless, and symbolic of the utmost purity, but she did not- could not- feel similarly. The past two years alone were the most stressful for her, her father, and the entire kingdom. Many were slain in the name of keeping he who called himself The Nomad away from the throne of *her* prosperous inheritance. She wanted to rule it herself, with compassion and the occasional firm hand. Hells, she even went to lead the front lines to protect her people, against her father's wishes. Yet, in spite of their collective efforts, the demon of a man simply waltzed in and essentially made himself at home. Her father, the king, collapsed under the weight of his own "morals" and offered, no, *sold*, her up without so much as a breath. And, now, what once was a happy childhood dream was burned into the ashes of politics, cowardice, and oppression. She felt sick to her stomach, but it took everything in her not to ruin her attire. At the very least, she needed to show for herself an ounce of self-respect and dignity. Outward appearance aside, she still harbored a strong sense of resentment and anger. To her father, for going against everything he ever taught her. To her mother, for not trying to defend her only daughter or finding an alternative to The Nomad's demands. For the demon himself, for toying with her and gloating with such pride on his face. If looks could kill, she'd be his remorseless murderer. But she can't, nor will she. He knew everything about her and how she behaved. She wasn't subtle, either. She was quite awful at that lifelong. The fact of the matter was that he won at the end of the day. There was no going back now. On this day, their wedding day, she has to play nice in the public eye. To look strong in the eyes of her people who have lost much these past many months. They needed someone to turn to and rely on. That is the primary duty of a royal charged with a whole kingdom. She eventually brought her head back to facing herself in the mirror as she carefully wiped her tears. As much as she hated how things came to this, she had to roll with the punches. If the gods granted it, she could likely find a future time to take her vengeance on all who hurt her, in some form. Whether it was a week or twenty years, she silently vowed to change history on her own terms. Until then, all she had to do was bide her time.

Me: *finds myself getting into character and silently seething from the start, but especially when Nomad laughs in my face about how my father basically sold me to him in exchange for the kingdom's safety* Nomad: After tonight, you will be mine, and I will be yours, so understand me when I tell you I will never hurt you -- not once. I will never be cruel to you. I will never cause you pain. You are mine and I am yours. What do you say to that? Me: ...ok that's sweet 🥺 maybe being married to him won't be so bad. Let's go do this! Just make sure they don't fuck up the "here comes the bride" music part while I walk down the aisle, babe! Needless to say, I'm a simp for any character you make, Nomad 😩 I would be ashamed if it weren't for the fact that you're just too amazing for me to ever be embarrassed by how much I love your audios!

She held her head high, only listening to every third word that came out of his mouth as she attempts to figure out what gave her away. She thought, given his proximity to her, that the pen knife would be hard for him to stop so quickly. The events over the last several days rendered her emotionally drained. Her face is plastered with an emotionless stare. This man wants to destroy all she was promised. All that for which she had been reared and trained. He wanted to invalidate her. "Come here." His demand is ignored as she stares blankly at him from a few paces away. "I said come here." Again, she makes no moves. "I have a gift for you." His mocking tone pulled her from her thoughts as he instructed her to hold out her hands. She does so, closing her eyes briefly. A small jingle accompanies the heft of something dropped in her hand. She opens her eyes to see a golden necklace with the most tacky pendant she'd ever seen covered in diamonds and gemstones. What he called lovely was... costume jewelry, at best. She couldn't fathom how he'd lost his sense of taste so young. Perhaps he'd never developed one. He continues to talk about himself, as men so often do. She continues to tune him out. ... He draws near to her, his breathing shallow and his whispers creepy. It took all her will to keep from shivering. "So, understand me." She already doesn't. "When I tell you that I will never hurt you. Not once. I will never be cruel to you. I will never cause you pain. You are mine and I am yours." Her glare could not be any sharper. "What do you say to that?" "Forgive me if I don't trust a goddamn word that comes out of your mouth." She hisses. Her heart pounds as she thinks of tearing this pendant from around her throat and returning it to his home. Throwing it into the gutter.

Normally, I tend to despise villain and yandere characters, so I fully expected to loathe this dude to his very core. Although, you portrayed this character and his layers really well. Not to mention, the snippets of lore have also caught the attention of my goblin brain. Great job with the story so far Nomad!
