I did something like this, ended up stretching out the tendon in my left thumb so much it made my thumb metacarpal repeatedly pop out of place for 5 months, it took two years for it to heal completely. It affected me so much that I stopped playing video games for 8 months, and learned how to drive with one hand. As a game design college student, this is the worst thing to ever happen to you. Heed my advice, and do some hand and thumb stretches with some tough rubber bands, some hand crunchers or whatever they are called, before doing a clusterfuck like this.
