I'm glad you said something about the crumbles. I made this last night (for the second time now) and sure enough, the store was out of blocks of feta. I bought the crumbles instead and they worked just fine. Such and easy and tasty recipe - it's no wonder it now has stores in the U.S. out of feta. As an aside, I did go over to the deli area and asked the person behind the counter whether the store still carried blocks of feta. She looked at me and said, "Well, if it's not over there we're probably out of it. You see, there was this TikTok video..." 😋
This stuff is awesome! I tried you're version 3 today. One thing I added at the end which you might want to try out (totally optional). Pitted black olives. Gives it some Greek flavor and goes really well with the feta and cherry tomatoes.
This is a staple in our dinner menu rotation. It's so versatile and is easy to make little tweaks to for a little change every now and again. My husband loves adding sautéed shrimp to it but I prefer the meatless version.
Just tried the classic version. Verdict: it was ridiculously good! My dad and I ate the whole thing by ourselves and don't feel a shred of guilt, hahaha! I was actually surprised by just HOW TASTY it was given how simple of a recipe it is. Thanks so much for the video - I'll definitely be trying out your soup spin-off of this recipe :) (PS: I used a gluten-free fusilli and it worked like a charm!)
I made this tonight. It's bomb af! I didn't have basil, so I used a tbsp of Fresh dill and Parsley. Its worked so well!!! I will be making this again. 😊
I just subscribed because unlike other cooking RU-vid channels you speak clearly and explain what your doing and always explains it in under 5 minutes thank you for these wonderful recipes. 😀
Good morning and happy Sunday! Making this again for probably the 15th time, it is a amazing dish! My friends and family ask for me to make this for our meals or socials.
This pasta is AMAZING!!! I used half the amount of olive oil because I have pancreas issues and can’t eat too much fat at once, and this still tasted sooo good! So if you’re wanting to make it a little healthier, you can definitely try cutting down the olive oil without sacrificing taste!
@@kosmaswhite6202 the pancreas doesn’t know that. Due to my pancreas issues, I have pain anytime I eat any foods high in fat, no matter if it’s saturated or non-saturated fats.
Yes it deserves all the hype !! Very simple and delicious . Every time I take it to a potluck I always come home with an empty dish . I have also grilled chicken strips cut in byte size to make it a complete meal . With fresh crusty bread it’s delicious 😋 😊💜
I love this recipe. I made it for my Family the regular way and I made mine low-carb version using artichoke rather than pasta. It came out absolutely delicious for low-carb. Love watching you as always. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for the stovetop recipe. Hate turning on my oven in hot weather! Love the ric( flavor of this recipe! So satisfying and taste gourmet!!! ❤️👍❤️
Going to try this tonight, thank you 😊 as an aside, I have two family members who work at a market. They told me since this recipe has gone viral, they’ve had hundreds of customers making it. Having a hard time keeping feta and tomatoes stocked.
@@Feelgoodfoodie I make it kinda classic cherry tomatoes and pepper and Italian seasoning and about 3 tablespoons of olive oil instead of adding the pasta water I use the brine from my feta cheese a cup of olive oil is a little too much for me
@@Feelgoodfoodie So I made your dish for dinner tonight! It came out beautifully and tasted even better than I imagined it would. Thank you for this recipe, my new go-to when I wanna quickly whip something up. Worth the hype indeed👏🏾👏🏾
The recipe is easy to follow and great for a quick meal. I tried the stove top version with all fresh ingredients but I felt the taste of feta didn’t gel very well. I want to try it with mascarpone and see what that’s like.
That was a really nice video and for sure I will try this recipe, but just to be accurate here feta is Greek actually the name "feta" is a protected designation of origin product since 2002 and it refers to cheese made exclusively in Greece. While there might be a French version of white cheese it is not the real feta. I really love feta and hearing about the French one broke my heart a little so wanted to set this straight. Now on for the recipe!
I actually I prefer this without a large cheese block in the middle however a large grating of Parmesan on top before and after with chilli flakes is AWESOME!!! Also rocket or any fresh soft green herb is great as an extra addition.
All three look delicious and I'm sure you can add meat to it and more vegetables of your liking this looks simple and great for my thirteen-year-old son who loves to cook and I want to teach him and give him some recipes thanks
I totally agree with Mariza Moirasgenti!! There is no such thing as french feta. I really love this recipe and if you add olives too is also really tasty
This was the easiest recipe and so freaken delicious!!! I will forsure be making again! The only difference was I used avocado oil and I also put garlic power on the tomatoes with the salt and pepper before cooking and also fresh garlic after.I cooked the garlic with the noodles then mushed it up using my garlic smasher & put it inside the pasta sauce when it was done cooking
Hello! Thank you so much. I made the pan rendition of your recipe and it's excellent! I just love it and will make it again. It was great of you to share.
Forgot the olive oil, didn’t have the basil, since I didn’t have a lot of feta I topped feta with curd cheese used cocktail tomatoes…in serving topped with parmigiana….OMG sooo good Will do again with mushrooms… Excellent recipe that is great when you have zero time for cooking.
iI have cooked this many tmes, only complaint I got in the beginning was how oily it was. I reduced the oil and every one loves it now. For fun I switch up the cheese every time I make it, so far 2 8oz tubs of Alouette garlic and herb cheese and potatoe gnocchi instead of pasta is the winner. It was so creamy cheesy there were complaints there wasn't enough. The meal that just keeps giving.
I literally spilled oil in my oven trying to make this pasta and my guests are running late anyways, so I have no idea how to keep it warm oh, and it’s also super watery but hoping this tastes great!!!
Just made with tomatoes garlic paste Italian seasoning penne pasta and fat free feta and evoo came out so delicious will try your versions can I sub a little hot sauce for red pepper flakes I think hot sauce is milder
I've made this twice, hoping to experience what the hype is. I just cannot seem to get it. I enjoyed trying something new and fresh, just didn't get the wow factor. Thank you for the 3 options though!
