Modded 3ds kinda sinks really low for what it can actually do, you can get dissapointed hard, but in the end it's all about the price. If can you get a 3ds under 50$, it's always worth it.
There is no need of fighting once you figured the corporate greed hunger ruins this beautiful hobby and we don't need them in order to get the best out of it
It's a lot of fun! - its relatively easy, and makes you feel like a big brain hacker genius. Really gave me a newfound respect for the homebrew scene, and the years of work put into discovering how to harness all the exploits needed to make it possible.
Vita still is one of the best spots for original Persona games. PSP remakes of Persona 1, P2: IS and P2: EP run natively on the system, plus you can also play Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden. This might change of the first three games' PSP versions get ported to another console or PC, but so far this is your best option.
Sony bosses sucks. They killed Vita - it was a great portable console and I seriously love the games in there. So much fun but Sony just suddenly told it off. Was so angry about it back then coz I can't comprehend why when it's actually doing so good as a console but releases became slower and slower and went slowest when sony quit on it.
Consumers also gave up on it too. People preferred to play kiddy 3DS and mobile games instead and now those same people are clamoring for a new Sony handheld when they didn’t even support it in the first place
@@canadianninja1837 i mean not really there isnt much out there. i think the big killer of the hand held market is geforce now. you can buy a razer phone mount and play anything..... steam deck is so popular though you would think a new vita would kill it.,
It would be great, but considering Sony migrating all of their first party successes to PC says otherwise It's more likely that they make playstation plus deals with valve than releasing their own handheld Edit: due to the recent news maybe I'm wrong and Sony is dumb because of them just now realizing that their handhelds could rock but their lack of support is the sole reason why they sucked
It was a mobile game that was taken off stores. I copped it once but can’t play it thanks to EA. Same happened to RE4 Mobile and Splinter Cell Conviction Mobile.
But if you are looking to buy a Vita in 2023 solely to mod it for emulation, rhe Steam Deck or its competitors may be a better alternative since it's more powerful.
@Rand0mN0rwegianGuy There's like 6 Goat Simulators. Goat Payday, Waste Of Space, Goat MMO, etc. Are you calling those DLC's instead of being their own game?
@@Asian_Kid But, all of those that you mentioned there in your comment… ARE just DLC’s, though. And I know that for a fact, because I bought them all, and they very clearly were just that, DLC that added lots of content within the main game; and not separate different games. At least this was the case on PS4, anyway (bought them all through the PS Store).
A modded Vita is the GOAT. I never liked the squared sides from the DS Lite and 3DS. Vita is like the Saturn/Dreamcast of handhelds. Catered to hardcore gamers while getting dropped after 2 years like DC did. Here are all my Vita games.. Assassin's Creed Chronicles Bastion Blazblue CP Extend Broken Age CounterSpy Dead Or Alive 5 Plus Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3 Venus Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax Dragon's Crown Final Fantasy X HD God Of War Collection Iconoclasts Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Muramasa Rebirth Plants Vs. Zombies Rayman Legends Rayman Origins Rocketbirds: Hard Broiled Chicken Rocketbirds 2: Evolution Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Sly Cooper Collection Sly Cooper: Thieves Of Time Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Table Top Racing Tearaway Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Uncharted: Golden Abyss WipEout 2048 I don't like P4G, Gravity Rush, or LittleBigPlanet. Deleted them. Can always get them back. I liked Guacamelee and SteamWorld Dig 2 but decided to delete them. Assassin's Creed: Liberation is a rough game to look at. Such bad frame rates. I also have 13 PSP games including compilations that has Sonic 1 & 2, Shinobi III, Street Fighter II Turbo, and Mortal Kombat 1-3. I have 17 PS1 games using Adrenaline which includes my two all-time favs: Final Fantasy VII and Tekken 3. I also have another 20 games using RetroArch. People really need to check out the Vita. There are tutorials on hacking them all over RU-vid. Takes like no more than 10 minutes. The 3DS is cool but it's just not as powerful. Vita has 28 GFlops. That's more than Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube, OG Xbox, and Wii. The 6th generation is the most beloved and the Vita surpasses all of them in raw power. I also own a Switch Lite which I love too but Vita takes the cake. Lighter, smaller, more versatile like using my DualShock 4 to control it. Vita is the GOAT. My PS Vita slim covers these systems: Game Boy, Game Gear, NES, Genesis, Super NES, PS1, PS2 (a few), PSP, and its own Vita games. Add all the indies that the Switch eventually got and many smartphones already had. My Galaxy Z Flip 3 used to have apps like Lemuroid to cover those older systems from the 80s and 90s but is now used to emulate Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube, and Wii. I gave up on MAME ROMs mainly because I grew tired mapping the controls for specific games. My Switch Lite is used for some 7th/8th gen ports like AC4: Black Flag and The Witcher 3. I play NBA 2K23 a ton on it. For games I missed out from the Wii U which I never bought. For the many awesome indies that the Vita and smartphones excel in like Horizon Chase: Turbo and Oddmar. I bought an iPhone SE 3 for only $150 last Oct. I used that too for indie games. I have Life Is Strange, Forgotton Anne, and GRIS. I'll use my DualShock 4 to control them and my SE 3's case has a kickstand. I have a Sony, Nintendo, Samsung, and Apple to cover my gaming needs. I will eventually get a Steam Deck. Might take 4 years as Valve isn't looking to make a smaller version any time soon. I badly want to play FF7 Remake and Shenmue III. I'm not getting it for emulation since I already have that covered. It's to play newer games like Elden Ring. At 42 growing up from the NES era, I want quick and easy games that doesn't kill a lot of time and doesn't force me to rage quit. Vita, Switch, and a Z Flip are perfect for that as they're a combination of all my favorite consoles from 1985-2006 that I can take anywhere with me.
I loved the vita. Sony hated it to the brim. The first few years was the worst, not getting any games at all. Glad the home brew is giving it love like the psp
I loved my modded one. I had pawn it last year for rent money:/. its still at the pawn shop lol. no one wants to buy it for the $500 price tag they put on it smh
The psvita has always been an intriguing thing to me as a Nintendo fan. Something about it just seems so magical, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is. It does look really nice to hold. I would love to get my hands on one someday.
I'd definitely recommend it. it's a great first jailbreaking project if you want to get into that as well, since the Vita is a dead console and Sony doesn't care what you do with it. but there are some great games and hidden gems on the Vita
I remember owning a vita and I loved the hardware I just remember not really having any games for it and I eventually sold it because I didn’t use it as much as I thought. 😪 it was such an amazing device to me and should’ve had more/better games
I sold mine shortly after getting one at launch as well. Luckily, I got one again in 2018. Glad I did because physical games weren’t as expensive as they are now. There are so many games even if you’re not into jrpgs.
i have a modded 2ds xl and it is the actual best such good ports like Sonic Mania, SM64, Halo Revamped, Doom, DDLC, SRB2, FNaF 1, and even GTA 3! Not to mention the mods for native games like Smash 4, Mario Kart 7 (CTGP-7), and DS games like “Newer” Super Mario Bros DS!
@@2fernandoc1ur dumb if you don’t mod your vita I hate to say it, Sony tried their best to kneecap the platform by charging out the ass for literally everything. By modding it you remove storage limits, get all games for free, and are able to do other stuff like overclocking and all sorts of insane plugins. And there’s literally zero risk of getting banned or anything. Also hate to say this but you gotta be a bit of a dunce with your device to brick it they are very resilient and I’ve saved mine from a bricked state multiple times when I was modding it a few years ago. Oh and it’s now the easiest to mod then it’s ever been, I could literally preach about the vita for hours
I got the very first ps vita version. And I actually still have the very first version of the PSP with umd discs. The only thing that sucks is it doesn’t read my memory card anymore. But still works and I still watch movies and the Ali G show whenever I take a flight.
PSN technically doesn’t exist no more on the psvita and ps3 since they discontinued it, and modding it is easier than ever since you can now do it throw the vita web browser instead of having to use your Pc for it
@@aroundtheblockwithbrock4799 yeah, I nodded my vita multiple times, I had 3 in total, no problem, and that was when I had to do them using a Pc, but now you should be able to mod it using the vita web browser, I’m sure there’s a RU-vid video for the new/easier method
I actually had my first Vita back in 2016 , it felt great except the high cost for Games and Memory Cards , a year or so ago I bought another Vita since my old one got water damage and I can't find it anymore, now I must say it's a great console for Emulation and with SD2VITA you actually have enough Storage for the nice high amount of games and Ports like GTA San Andreas and GTA 3 work pretty good maybe with except a error every once a while
😅 I kinda have two vitas one that broke and I did check if it could get fixed 😅 couldn't n other but it doesn't charge at all so I'm gunna ether see how much it be fix one of them n if possible take the parts that one may have for other or buy new one. Anyway I be modding when I can for ps vita when I get it fixed or buy one and mod me new 3ds xl. I haven't got a SD card reader to plug into a laptop to do the modding.
I've been using my boyfriends modded vita lately and wow, just the amount of content is insane, homebrew scene is brilliant and the nostalgia factor with dreamcast, n64 etc on something like this is wild.
Or you don't have to worry about dealing with a modded PSP and you can just get a steam deck that has a bigger screen I can pretty much play every gaming console besides the current-gen consoles
I love playing GTA San Andreas on my Vita!!! Absolute God their Vita game!!!! I just wish someone would put GT1 & GT2 in an easy to download and get on your Vita package!!! (Gran Turismo1 & Gran Turismo2)
I would love one but way too expensive for outdated tech. For that price (typically $200-300) I would rather buy one of the dozens of new retro handhelds with updated tech. GPD Win 4 was really close but I’m not paying $1k+ for a handheld
I have 2 PsVita 1000. First is the legit one my girlfriend gifted me years ago (playing right now muramasa rebirth) and the second one bought last year at 20€ that I have modded. Never the less I'm still in search of a PSTV to mod and connect to the big screen with a PS4 controller. Modding it is like unlocking his true capabilities. Great Console IMHO
Is the Vita better for emulation these days than modded Switch? Aside from the obvious systems like PS1 and PSP that are way better since Vita officially supported PSP emulation.
Imo it`s useless to buy PS Vita in 2023. I`ve bought mine in 2020 and did really enjoy this console. Anyways, this lasted not for a long time. Just after ending GoW 1-2 and trying other games i understood one simple thing: yeah, there are a lot of games and ports right now, but it`s still not enough. After seeing some ports made on PS Vita you would expect to see ported Morrowind, since one guy has shown that it`s possible to make manually a re-make of fallout 3, but none will ever do that. To port some android games on vita is also a hard thing to do: some of really nice android games won`t be ever ported on Vita because of uncompetable architechture of this console. Ports of GTA VC and GTA SA aren`t really perfect in some cases. Do you remember folks the mission with little heli in GTA VC? It`s hard af to complete this mission on vita, because the controls aren`t actually well made for this it. Same with the mission with boat. After having this console for 3 years it ended up being used once in few month for follout 2 port with a bunch of bugs. Better buy a steamdeck dudes, not only you can play PS Vita games on it without any issues, but also u aren`t going to have any problems with a library of games avaliable on it.
I dunno, in my experience at least the modding community seems kinda dead. Even 6 months into 2023, seeing any applications made or updated in the new year is quite rare. They exist, but not at nearly the quantity you’d expect or hope for. Same for the PSP. A shame…
So so so many videos like this, but yeah it's pretty great, can't think of a single console I wouldn't want in 2023 though they're all pretty great, maybe not a neogeo pocket because fuck £50 games
ya'll can't keep making this exact same video every year, this console was a flop, I bought the borderlands 2 edition and you couldn't even play the game, it was so bad
The Vita library is so bad though--mostly a collection of subpar ports. The best thing about the Vita was the PSP library, but considering there are now handhelds that can play PSP games at even higher resolutions, it's hardly worth it.
Ive been contemplating either psvita of ps3 .. .the perk of ps vita is portable but i can just use my phone to remote play and ps 3 have the game that i love like mosuo gundam & motostorm but i already got ps4 and 5
I have a modded vita, but I've got terrible stick drift as just wish I could get rid of it. The drift, not the vita. But, I've got all my retro emulation sorted with a retro handheld
i had a Vita, sold it last year.. 2022 for 220$ dollars no box.. shit is only playable for 40min then you get the low battery.. pretty garbage if u ask me.. not worth it at all
If I play games I own legitimate physical copies of on my vita and earn trophies, will there be an issue if I sync my account to psn? I love to trophy hunt on rhythm games and I modded my vita before realizing my account might get flagged (I use other ps systems on the same account too). I haven't done anything with my vita since modding it, would it be best to remove the mod and then mod another system?
The vita was outdated back in 2016 lll I got rid of all of mines let’s stop sugar coating that face that the game has a very limited variety of games and yes you can “emulate” but for that the you can literally play the same games on your iPhone
Sony can't even be bothered with ps Store, half the games are missing and it keeps getting errors., like they can't afford a small team to maintain it is quite sad. Doesn't even connect to the ps5 😢
I bought the ps vita literally the day it released and it was so boring of a system because Sony barely had any games for it that I sold it. Had I thought about emulation at the time, I would've for sure kept it.
Everyone is confused on why Sony gave up on the system. When part of the answer is the premise of this video. It was so easy to hack from day 1, nobody had to buy the games.
now NOTHING with any kind of sd card slot or "port"(USB/type-C charging port) is safe. its sad that "an adapter" is all that's needed to hack these and any other gaming console. and BECAUSE they NEED "chargers" and usb ports and whatnot on their consoles/handhelds, i predict that soon these companies will exit the "gaming console" era and start an ALL digital era
@@acgaming1413 while it existed early into the systems life it wasnt as easy or accessible to get into as it was when henkaku first released. Thats when I and a lot of people got into modding the vita and when the scene really "started." Sony just didnt support the Vita enough with good games along with having expensive proprietary sd cards definitely didnt help
