When I had back surgery my lifestyle had to change. My doctor told me to get an indoor dog it would save my life because I was going to go through severe depression. I got a miniature Dachshund. We had outside dogs, but you're right. It's not the same thing. She was invaluable to keeping depression at bay.

The shaking in the car can be anxiety rather than fear. The unfamiliar experience and anticipation of where they might be going and not knowing how long, builds up anxiety. Also some dogs shake when they need to poo and are holding it in. Sometimes stoping at a close place where they can run off some anxiety energy and poo, makes the rest of the car ride better. Sometimes.

I get the mental health dog side. I just saw a man "veteran" have his dog get stung by a nest of nasty and after running did damage to his knees. He needs 13k CDN dollars work but he's family. I get the attachment and unconditional love dogs can give. Glad you found yours.

Alfie is adorable, my absolute favorite breed, they never really bark and are so loyal and loving, loved this video❤ Our Frenchie louie is nine now I know what you mean about Loving a dog. In NZ Frenchie's are a very popular breed, they cost about $5,000 $6000 usually depending on the colour.

Alfie is a gorgeous mental health dog, we had a pug which we lost a couple of years ago, it may be time for us to get another, but you are right Ryan, they are so expensive here in Australia. I think the Frenchie would be my choice this time round, but boy, our pug gave us many years of joy.

We call it our emotional support dog you can register him online and get a certificate and he can go anywhere with you on an airplane or in a restaurant, he is adorable and has a very nice demeanor about him.. we just lost our dog after 10 years it’s such a loss like a hole in your heart… who cares what anyone says about how you got your dog it’s not their life.. good luck with Alfie I know he will bring you much peace and happiness with his unconditional love. I have two African wild dogs and recently one small (two months now) kitten. My dogs are extremely obedient. Always stay outside the house but within the compound. The kitten is very self-assured and will want to sit on my lap anytime. It is nice. I like both types. Of course, I Have goats, fish, and chicken too. The dogs will attack anyone entering the compound unless I say no. The cat doesn't care! I have had very many dogs through the years, but no cats. So this was a first! Very nice experience! Important for the kids to experience closeness to animals too. I enjoy watching your channel!

I know how you feel, he sounds like my dog, [almost looks like him too, but my boy has a black mask] who can't decide if he's my protector or a scared boy. He's 7 years now and a great friend, he's recently had some testicle problems, so after the second time and the meds not reducing the swelling, we decided to have him neutered. Prior to that he had skin issues, and dry food issues [according to the vet] and he had a strong doggie odor. Amazingly, after he had his testicles removed, He has not been scratching or itching at all, his doggie odor is gone and now he's able to stay with me most of the day in my office/cave. We are both happier and I know it will be a good thing for Alfie and I hope he never has the same issues as my Frenchie. Keep up the interesting work!

We always had big dogs then my mum decided to have a West Highland terrier myself and my dad we're not impressed such a small dog she wound herself around our heart she was the gift from God. Well I’ve been married to my Thai wife for 30 years and plan to move to Thailand 28 years ago about three years ago bought 10 Rye of land, in my daughters name i’ve got rid of my electrical contracting business sold the house and on the 19th of September, me my wife and my 10-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier moving to Thailand the land is iPhone nga province very excited for what lies ahead any advice would really be much appreciated. Alfie’s so sweet and loving….I’m really happy you’ve found your adorable little companion buddy. 🩷 We got a sweet little Havanese a few years ago to help us through a move to a new area during Covid and although he takes quite a bit of care and attention, (he also has separation anxiety) life would be missing so much love without him.

Alfie does seem like a fantastic friend my daughter has 2 frenshies Diamond and Delilah they are amazing and very loyal loving dogs but one thing I’d mention about them apparently their front shoulder joint can be an issue in some I don’t know much about it but the vet told my daughter they can break very easily perhaps it’s something worth reading about thank you Ryan for your lovely vlog

Make the food yourself. I have all the info in a short video and in the first pinned comment. I used to take my dog to a holistic vet near Seattle. He said he could give a dog cancer and take it away-/ that’s how much food matters. I only wish I had found this doctor when my dog was a puppy. Before doing more shots in the future years, do a titre test. Veterinary Secrets channel Is the best for dog care info.

Alfie is cute. French Bulldogs are prone to diarrhea. Similar to Cocker Spaniels they are very needy.

Proper raw diet is so important to their health Kibble kills, just an awful diet If you choose raw diet, they must get enough calcium No calcium with d3 In bone raw fish, in bone raw chicken, duck, turkey are proper No cooked bones Stay healthy Alfie Great content

@@thenakedguru chicken wing tips, chicken heads, salmon belly, mince beef and ofal. We try to feed more raw food than processed. When also give them fruits and vegetables....they love blueberries, strawberries and apple (without skin)

@@thenakedguru we give raw meat. Nothing is cooked. We add sardines with vegetables in a processor and blend into a mixture. This makes it easier for medicating the furkids

@@thenakedguru at 12 months his hormones will start to balance out. If taken too early he will not have the chance to develop. That is my recommendation and experience. I desexed one boy earlier as he had BOAS surgery and was under...now wishing I had done two surgeries rather than one. We learn as we progress

Yes! Wait until he's at least a year old. For.females, they recommend 18-24 months.This comes from a breeder who has raised over a thousand Labrador pups.

@@thenakedguru If Alfie is the only furkid inside you should be ok. He would only scent to mark his territory for other dogs. Some of our males scent and others dont. It appears to be an individuals trait

Some unsolicited advice. Based on Alphi’s personality I would not get him neutered. 1) the risk of him contracting kennel cough at the Vet 2) he is a indoor dog he’s not a soy dog he’s not going to cause a population explosion 3) he’s already a timid dog … too much Trama. My family had many Frenchies … my advise leave that boy intact.
