Unlike the theatrical polished content of our main channel, this channel will more livestreams, free talking, diary vlogs, adult themes, discussions on current affairs and topics of interest. It is a place to share, have a dialogue with subscribers and bring others into the mix, which enhances my quality of life as a rural hermit in Thailand!
'The Naked Guru" Is just a fun metaphor for being open and honest.
There is one Utube channel that regularly check in on. This is it. You have a small niche because there is a small portion of society that identifies with your lifestyle. I enjoy the philosophical and culture content. You are a very rich man. You have found your life dream and are living it. You have realized and practice your purpose. Even with the many stresses that walk hand in hand with raising a family and finding balance and happiness in relationship you seem very content in life. This is a goal in my opinion that many many people don't even know where or how to start. Lucky man Ryan...I can identify and live a similar lifestyle. I would miss you if you stopped vlogging so thank you for what you do and PS...your honey is delicious and I make an evening tea regularly with your turmeric and ginger extract powders. Glad to hear Por is on the mend. My family is experiencing some serious health issues currently as well but a go fund me is not something I would be comfortable opening either. Try to be ready for a rainy day folks... sometimes it pours buckets in Thailand lol. Cheers.
Good you stopped eating the grapes. I don’t even buy tea from China. I’ve traveled in China. The level of pollution in some areas is astounding. It’s slowly getting better, but I don’t trust food from China.
😂 Bribing kids to eat vegetables is universal. So glad to see that some things never change. I guess that's one of the reasons I watch you. While the world seems to be going mad some people still go on living life with love and an eye on karma or how you walk in the world. Ignore the haters. You do you.
I am fortunate that I carefully planed my retirement. I'm not wealthy by any means but I am able to live comfortably on about half of my pensions and I have a comfortable nest egg to cover any serious health issues that may come up. I have a low opinion of most bloggers who are trying to eek out a living from Utube. I do read a lot of blogs but have NEVER contributed any money to them. You can comfortably live here in Thailand if you are financially able, but it is all about money. It's the old saying. "NO MONEY NO HONEY".
Great topic as always Ryan! I think RU-vid can be a very powerful platform; especially, when one is trying to raise money for a cause to help others. Yes….karma is real and can be a B1#%h especially when one is a wrongdoer. You’re such a cool dude and thanks for being you:) Have a great week 😊
You seem like a good and reasonable person. Good on you for providing and planning ahead for your family ❤. Yes, there are a lot of RU-vidrs who take advantage of the girls in Pattaya. It doesn't take much effort walking around filming the girls and providing a voice-over where you tell the "customers" how they can save a few bucks next time they want to buy a lady. Ladies who do this to support their families, mind you. There is one channel in particular who grinds my gears. I will not name the channel, but the guy goes by the name of Daz or something like that. He has lived in Pattaya for years, and now he has dedicated himself to making the working girls earning as little as possible by giving "tips" on his RU-vid channel. The Cheap Charlies of course loves his channel - and the girls make less money as a result. I find his approach, all things considered, to be repulsive. The girls are not participating in this industry because they long to have a intimate relation with your 60+, balding, overweight, and bad personality.. If you choose to buy their services, then make sure that you are respectful, nice, and that you pay them more than they expect. You still want to be a cheap charlie? Stay at home and watch RU-vid videos - Thailand is not for you.
I make my own dog food. I cook meat, veg and sweet potatoes together in a crock pot/slow cooker so the veg smells and tastes like the meat. Easy way to incorporate more vegetables into your dog's meals 😊.
You will always have morons and haters when you're starting to get a larger audience. Just erase their comments and let it disappear of your mind. I can see that on The Naked Guru you don't edit much, but on Life on rural Thailand there's much mor time spent and it's visible. I usually spend between 2 and 3 days for each video, and as I have 2 channels, each with a weekly video, it really IS a full time job...
Medical is basically free in Thailand for Thais 100k baht is extremely reasonable, most villagers will chip in to cover various expenses for fellow villagers
So the Thai government which can’t even enforce the motorbike helmet law are going to somehow track foreigners worldwide income and then enforce this potential tax law on worldwide income good luck lol! Unless you’re a big fish I would not worry about all this tax nonsense.
Great channel, good talk. I'm liking it all. Otis is getting big, I suppose Hugo will be trouble soon. Hahahaha. My boys are out in the world doing their own mischief. 👍❤️😇
Good chat as always Ryan. I’m getting ready to return to oz for a bit, as I don’t want to have to do a tax return here just now. Coming into summer in oz now, so not always hot but some days it will hit 40 degrees celcius, but the next day could be back to 28 degrees. I’ll be working to save more money before retiring. Plus I hope just to make some money as I didn’t do so well in my working life. Homes to divorce and sign up for debt to get my daughter, that was so much better than $$$… talk about off topic!!! All the best to you and yours 😂 brett
I certainly believe in Karma. Had a recent experience unfortunately I just can't go into however it cost me a lot and low and behold a situation arose in only a few days which cost the person that ripped me off probably half that amount. I can't say I am sorry and it really does for me at least show to treat people how you would want to be treated and if not look out and pay the consequences.
I have watched you for many years. I have never heard or seen you ask for money for yourself or your family. I have seen other RU-vidrs rant and rave that if they don't get a certain amount of money in their PayPal account that they will get off their live right now. Crazy stuff for real. I love to hear you rant. LOL. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Great walk and talk Ryan, happy to see Otis and Alfie as well. Damo's father has cheaper healthcare than i would at 66 back in the USA, unless i paid a monthly extra fee of around 6k baht a month for the rest of my life. Ah the go fund me, remember going through that website years ago and saw a young couple who had a go fund me for their wedding and honeymoon! Haha Peace, Love, and Karma Y'all
My girlfriend and I provide clothes and other gifts to the children in the province where her parents live. This year we were able to get a a large amount of shirts, pants and dresses for $5000PHP which is approximately $86US we also pass out a few pesos if we don’t have something that fits the child. Also I bring a large amount of chocolate from the states and they go nuts when they get it. Honestly it’s about what a tank of gas costs here in the states. This year I will be there in person to help give the gifts out. I can’t wait ❤
Looking forward to your visit to kanchanaburi, since i self live there, it’s a beautiful place to live and I love the beautiful nature up here in the mountains in erawan national park
mate I've flown from Australia to Thailand twice for surgerys, not only was it a 3rd of the cost but the hospital and care was better, one of the surgerys I had had in Australia previously.
What annoys me is self inflicted crowd funding. By this I mean someone (usually a young person) who goes traveling and can't be arsed to get travel insurance or gets insurance but doesn't read what it covers, or doesn't cover. Then they have an accident of some sort and it appears in the local paper back home with a link to the crowd funding site. The cost for a young persons travel insurance is very little and there's no excuse not to get it!
You are different from Dan. You showed the bill for one. Also Thais do not have a lot of money and it is difficult to get. Dan who you know never ever showed the full amount for his bill and it was a local hospital. Dan made £4800 and other amount to his bank account and now he is talking about going on holiday now more often an says he is financially doing well now.
@@thenakedguru Dan's the one that posts everyday about a Thai females being hookers and always after money (seems all the Thai women are all bar girls, pros). He put a gofundme page for him going to local hospital and only showed a B20k hospital bill even thought got donations of £4800+. He also said he was ex army and I asked him a question about army pensions when you leave, he could not answer and tell me you can arrange to get money anytime.
The most annoying ebeggers to me are the Filipino ones. Even the ones with husbands or boyfriends are in on it begging for tips and donations etc who will already be earning a decent amount from youtube still have an army of simps who just love giving them money for some reason.
Lucky for us NHS, but in the long run we pay from our taxes, but it's the same here we sell our gold or car or get loans if we are in debt to someone or something, unfortunately for the poor or working class, I do think a lot of Thai people do have lots of money but don't talk about it, because they have land and own houses more than what I have allso motor bikes, so I don't really feel sorry for them and believe they find it difficult to live, but not all of them.
I can't wait for your return to England and your thoughts on how things have, or have not, changed. If you're ever in Florida I'll show you around, but, like you, I quit drinking many years ago so my fun meter may not be up to snuff.😂
YouTubing isn't "a job." It's at least FIVE F'ING JOBS! 1. Acting/Public Speaking 2. Video Editing 3. Audio Editing 4. Marketing 5. Business Development It's an entrepreneurial endeavor, and like all entrepreneurships the chance of failure is high and the possibility of even making equal money to your time invested is very very low.
