A girl from my church almost made it onto The Voice. She’s INSANELY talented and she for sure would have made it, but they cut her because her back story was too similar to someone from the previous season...

"Reality" singing show: Exists Rami: It's fake

I’ve been to see the voice uk live several times and I thought I’d share some of the behind the scenes of what goes on: 1. Before the acts and judges come on the audience spends about an hour fake applauding/standing up etc. based on eye colour and unusual things like that 2. There is also a part where the audience is taught how to cheer/encourage pressing the buzzer (this including standing up and cheering during high notes etc) 3. When the judges come on they spend about 15 mins recording their hands anticipating pressing the buzzer (if you watch closely on the shows these clips are very clear from the genuine ones) 4. To be fair to the show the judges seem fairly genuine as they are constantly interacting with the audience in between acts (which takes a while btw) 5. There is also a person who stands by the side of the stage and aggressively orders the audience to cheer (this is why some cheers seem so out of the blue) 6. There is also a makeup and hair team that is constantly coming in and out to touch up the judges (especially for Tom Jones) and a team of waitresses who pour their drinks like they’re in the fanciest restaurant ever which felt quite snobby tbh but they are celebrities so that’s expected 7. During the actual live show I didn’t really notice any auto tune but I suppose I wasn’t really looking out for it Overall it is a very long recording process and is absolutely exhausting as an audience member and towards the final acts the audience becomes less engaged, which i suppose is where they edit in the fake cheers

here's the thing... I auditioned for the voice kids. and I'll tell ya now. no interesting or sad backstory=you won't pass the audition or win the contest. It's basically bullshit. they didn't have a reason to flunk me because of my voice, but they still did because of my song choice, and the others had more interesting backstory than I did. As a 10-year-old, I sang "I surrender - Celine Dion" "Hit The Road Jack" which are songs that are meant to be for contests for my voice range. "You have a decent voice, but your song choices are too old for you to sing." BRO. We didn't drive 5 hours on the way to Manila just to be flunked with the reason of "ur voice is good, but your song choices are old."

So as a kid I had a teacher who participated in the voice of Holland which is the Dutch version of the voice and he was good enough they thought he sounded pretty good but he wasn't allowed to go further because he was too ugly and I was like, that's the whole premise of the blind auditions right

I went to the recording of the Belgium edition. There was this guy that was chosen and nobody in the audience understood why. He was pitchy the whole time. But one judge turned around for him and he had such a sad sob story to tell. When I watched the live it sounded NOTHING like what it sounded live. He sounded great and I was so shocked.

As an Australian, I can confirm that literally all of these people have disappeared...the dj guy went on to win...and has never been seen again...

I was on the voice of Germany for those pre auditions Here's my expefience: I was casted online and then was invited to the pre auditions. Went there at around 8am. At around 10am was the first part. A capella audition with many people in one room. Many girls a few gospel guys and some others. I sang Minnie the moocher failed and then was allowed to sing chorus of Supreme by robbie Williams. Got to the next round together with a Belgium guy. He was cool tho. Next round, and I'm not kidding, at around 4pm. They had me waiting for nearly 6 hours. 6 people for singing. 4 judges from universal. Sang lucky day by Sasha. Was asked to prep another song, a German song from Clueso called Achterbahn, practiced together with a vocal coach. I sang for them again with that song at around 8 pm and was done at 10 pm. Got through, they liked me. They send me the contracts. I haf to print them two times. Over 400 pages. Not allowed to talk about themm but they were so heavy that I denied to sign them. They asked me two more years to re audition and skip pre audition to directly to blind auditions. Fuck that shiet. Not gonna do that shit again and sign a devils contract.
