As a Mexican/American, I love how this movie shows Mexican culture so well, especially when it comes to preparations for El Dia De Los Muertos, and the lore behind the celebration.
Coco is my favorite animated movie ever, and it actually gets even better each time I watch it! The beautiful colors, traditions, music, family theme, and perfect performances.
Alanna Ubach who plays Mama Imelda in this movie is half-Mexican and half-Puerto Rican and took French in high school and since she took French in high school I wonder if she has ever traveled to France or Canada and also since she took French in high school, I would have loved to see her play Esmeralda if Disney was to do a live action remake of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
A lot of us wish to see Benjamin & Alanna Ubach to sing La Llorona behind the scenes, it'll be beautiful to watch them perform. Alanna did on stage once.
Sadly, this was John Lasseter's last film he ever produced at Pixar before being "metoo'd" over dubious reasons(though in reality, it was really just an excuse that was used so the lefty woksters could gain control over the projects Lasseter himself greenlit into production because he wouldn't let the writers and animaters run all willy nilly inserting politics and other subversively disturbing crap into his projects and others). But at the same time, I guess one can say Lasseter went out with a bang on 'Coco'!
