It sounds 👌🏽😍 Glad I got to see your car as well. After the dam I was overheating. And then I drove for two more hours. 🙈😂 It was way too hot that day.
Thanks a lot, appreciate it. 🙌🏽 And I’ve had people tell me that before about the brakes. I thought I was taking it easy but before I knew it, those turns got really tight! 😂
@@lowdl ey bruh , i was kakking myself for the other drivers . you mustnt drive like that around corners mate . youre putting unsuspecting motorists lives at risk by driving so irratically . and stay in between the lines .
What a nice driving video bud. Just love all the voora sounds 😍 and most of these mk3’s are looking mint, very rare to see honestly. I think most VW enthusiasts want to own a voora at some stage but with the way fuel prices are going currently it won’t be a feasible purchase 🤣 Glad to see you are putting some proper mileage on the car and getting the run in done asap, cannot wait to see the final result. Oh and the mk2 is looking hawt bud, make me miss mine every time I watch one of the mk2 videos.
Owning a VR hasn’t been something on my radar for the longest time. I didn’t really like Mk3’s and they’re really slow so it didn’t do much for me. But as I get older, I’m growing fond of them. I need to drive one, I think that will either seal the deal or be a deal breaker. So I’ll try and do that soon and post about my thoughts on the driving experience without being cheesy. 😂 I’m excited to see the numbers but the car feels great. Even if it doesn’t make big numbers, I’ll be content knowing that it’s healthy and that it will be consistent.
@@lowdl well then you are getting to my age now 🤣 yes they are slow, but that’s why you get air ride to roll low and slow and just make VR6 noises, that’s probably the reason they are so heavy on fuel 🤣🤣 Owning a MK3 voora has been on my bucket list for the longest time, but has just never been feasible for me to own one, but 1.8T 20v is life 💪🏼 Knowing Andy and Jams, that car will be a monster on ethanol for sure. Even on pump 95 it will still pull strong. Looking forward to the next one bud, keep it up 🙌🏼
I love the sound of the vr6 just had my jetta sprayed and I must say it came out nice also white but a vr6 engine would do the trick love your video and the sight is gorgeous
A sentence that contains VR6 and tunnel run is an instant click. 😅😊 I find it impossible NOT TO GIVE 'ER a couple of times when going through the few tunnels we have here around Vancouver. 😁 It's a shame you guys in ZA can't legally have tinted glass on the rear panes of glass. It helps keep the heat and sun damage down plus it looks good. 😎 Thanks for the upload!
@@lowdlYo Lorenzo, hope you’re good. I live in Haasendal and desperately want a Jetta VR6. Are you still in contact with these gents and when will y’all be meeting up again?
Yo bru...nice man. I couldnt make it to the run due to an unfortunate incident in the family. My hartjie was paining yoh im super spuit i couldnt go, i was crying inside. I prepped my car over the last 2 months just for the run....did my suspension over, did a good service and had it dyno tuned
@@lowdl yeah def fam first bro...i might sell mine...i don't really want to but maybe i must just get another car for a daily. im starting to feel the petrol now although my VR is relatively light on fuel.
A daily that's light on fuel is needed. It helps a lot. A VR that is light on fuel sounds like a unicorn. lol. But I'm sure it's not bad. It's probably lighter on fuel than the 1.8T.
@@lowdl my wife's 1.8 citi sport is almost the same on fuel compared to the vura. A trip from ruyterwacht to town and back on the vura is about R100 now after the increase...with her car it's like R80 to be exact to work and back. But I smaak a small car or like a 250-400cc bike for daily.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll do that soon. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for myself so that I can keep up with that I’ve been up to with the car.
Nothing bad meant by this. But you take your turns too soon and then try to correct it by going wider. So you end up under steering. Rather enter bends slightly wider
Its all good. I agree with you. I wouldn’t say that I’m trying to correct it going wider, it’s really the only option at that point. 🙈 I haven’t driven the road on my own before, I’m using following so that helps with lines but I’ll get it with time. Thanks alot 👍🏽
I gotta say, they always sounded good but up against an Opel 200TS they really didn`t shine...the only VR6 that ever gave me a hard time when I had my Kadett was one that had a turbo fitted...but as I said, damn, they sounded good!
Just gotta appreciate the noise. But they need a lot of work to run well NA. But slap a turbo on them and they come alive. There’s not much that gave those TS’s a hard time back in the day.
`@@lowdl True Dat!!! With very little as far as mods my TS was a real beast, on the highway it was ridiculously fast...as a die hard Opel fan back in the day I always did get goosies when a "Voora" was anywhere near going up through the revs though, definitely one of the best sounding engines in SA in the 90`s...
I’m not sure. Possibly in future but I’m not sure if it’s going to help. I’ve heard that it makes the car really stiff and makes it loose that playfulness that the Mk1 and 2 GTI has. I need to learn to drive the car better in stock form and then start making handling mods. But it’s something I’ve considered plenty.
They're pretty reliable as long as you maintain it. Maintenance depends on the car you buy, how well it was looked after and the mileage. It's not going to be cheap to maintain but it shouldn't require much other than regular services for the most part.
Hey. I’m not sure. Facebook events is usually a good one. But other than that, it’s word of mouth. There’s no dedicated placed for these things that I know of.
Gents, I'm really interested in buying a vr6. Do you know anyone maybe in the video who's selling? I want someone reputable as these google ads are dodge as fuck...?
I would say that FB market place is a good place to check. Then you can see the persons Facebook profile. Gives you a little more peace of mind. But it’s always a risk buying a car these days. So many lemons for sale and if they’re good, really expensive.
