Modding the Civic, compared to the Elantra Sport, at this point in time. Much more you can do with the Civic. I have a Sport Hatchback CVT, with Hondata, flex fuel kit, and Takeda air intake. I raced an Elantra Sport before I installed the flex fuel. And every light, I got him. Even did a highway run. I had at least a car length or more at 103mph. Your drop looks great! What's next?
505fk7 Hatch hopefully nothing bad happened to the CVT. Just wanted to warn you because a lot of people have been snapping the CVT from tuning because the CVT can’t take to much power.
I'm assuming the tune you have reduces the low end shock. This little turbo can give a HUGE hit down low, but that doesn't mean it has to. Next step for me is the clutch if I haven't sold it by the time I get around to it, then maybe bigger turbo. OR I'm just going to focus on the Integra. Good job taking down that sport.
Only 35k and I forget how many I had when I did the springs. Overall I haven't done that much with them I know but I just read that somebody claimed their stock shocks made it 40k miles could with eibach sportlines. If I can make it that far before having to get real coils or until tokico or somebody releases something I'll be more than happy.
@@caraddictThere are Tein Enderpro shocks and struts available for the Civic Sedan FC chassis. I'll get running godspeed lowering springs with stock shocks and strut and put the tein one later.
I guess I wasn't paying enough attention to the product releases anymore, thanks for pointing that out. I think I still may just get some coils when the time comes so I can set the height exactly where I want. Not sure but some basic setups like the Tein street advance or whatever they are called aren't really a ton more than their set of 4 shocks would cost me... I think most of my money will continue to go to performance for a while though.
I think after I bring the rear camber out a bit or add a small rear spacer it will be better. It's partly an illusion because the wheel sits further into the wheel making it look like it's suffed further up in there. It still won't be an even gap but will be better.
didn't really look at the way it's all mounted with that in mind while I was under there. Having seen the rear camber kits that are available I am pretty sure it's not diy thing like was possible with the DC/EG etc...
Rims were 18x8 +35 and tires were 245/40/18 and they cleared everything but the screw holding the fender liner on by the side marker. Went to 225/40/18 next and cleared 100%. With 225 speedo read as stock, with 245 speedo matched gps.
@@zGappie Everybody is different but in my eyes 235/245 is about the perfect look on an 8" wheel. 225 was good too but I don't like my sidewalls tipped in even though 225 its not very pronounced at all, but those people who run 215s on 9+" wheels... I can't stand that stretched tire look myself.
@@zGappie thanks. No more civic sadly. Over a year now I think but I might start building either my crv or F150 or buy a new truck. If any of those happen I want to start making videos again.
Still doing good. Stock struts might be showing their she now at 75k seems to be a little more bouncy but still not too bad yet. Hopefully I can afford coils by the time I really need to pay $$ on struts.
Did you ever hit bumpstops or bottom out with these? because I had eibach sportlines on my accord and it rode ok, but any bump id be on the bumpstops, would bottom pretty bad.
I don't believe so. At least not that I remember. I never drove on roads that were too bad though. I'm sure I hit good bumps now and then but for 99% of my driving I don't think I'd hit the stops.
I just got my car lowered and I have godspeed spring installed.. But I noticed something, the front wheel gap on driver’s side and passenger side are different. It’s not that off but it bothers me, let say the driver’s measured exact 2 inches from fender to wheel, then the passenger side is 2 inches and two lines (I don’t know how to read measuring tape lol).. Is it normal?
99% of tape measures each line is 1/16" so the other side is 2 1/8" (2/16 is 1/8). I don't believe that's normal, don't remember my car being like that. Is there any chance you didn't seat both springs on their rubber insulator/seats top and bottom perfectly?(I forget exactly how they are setup I did it so long ago).
@@nashgamalinda5383 were you for sure parked on a completely flat spot when measuring? Even a small bump under a rear tire could make the opposite front appear a little more stuffed into the fender. Maybe call them and let them know/ask just so they have record of a complaint in case you really try and get them to do something later. How many days since it was done?
caraddict yeah at first I noticed it at work and when I got home, I parked inside the garage and it’s the same thing. I got my lowering spring installed last week friday. So it’s been a week now. I already called the shop and they told me they can adjust it or I think they say they can lower it so it will be even
@@logjammer9862 thanks. I am eventually going full coilover just to set my own height but I'm still enjoying the stance/handling of the car with these springs for now.
Never said the blow me sticker makes the car better. But with 1100 bucks into a downpipe, intake, and tuner I ran a 13.7. 8th/9th gen ain't doing better than that with just I/H and tune. And I couldn't even get into a CTR for twice what my ext cost! By that logic I should've just got an RS7... or even just step right into a Chiron!
I think bounciness would come from being under-dampened but I think this spring rate works pretty good with the factory struts. I think it handles bumps pretty good. Go over a bump and it pretty much takes one suspension stroke to settle. Of course something really nasty it might not settle AS quickly.
What do you mean? In the description of the video you commented on I have two ways listed to contact me. facebook. com/caraddict22 or Instagram @maddmatt02
Yeah I always go for a real challenge and then lose... gives me goals I guess lol. So far it's been I6 with twins, v8 with twins, big ass v8, and a built evo.
