Not so sure TBH - that part of the road will be closed off on match day. And when Peel get around to building the 'Central Docks' there'll be a riverside route too.

I was told by a member of staff at the Titanic Hotel that they're flattening the pub!! Must be for parking or something like that. Shame as I was thinking the same as you, it would have been great business for the pub.

Only 1 pub called The Bramley Moore which has been there for a few years. Good thing is they're Everton fans !

It's in the wider 'Transport Plan' that has been published, but no details agreed with Merseyside Transport yet.

The planning application included shuttle buses to the city centre and Bootle town centre. There'll probably be shuttle buses to Sandhills Station, too. A normal Saturday train schedule is 12 trains an hour to Moorfields (change for Lime Street) and Central and, going the other way, 4 each to Kirkby, Ormskirk and Southport (and all stations in between). 4 of the 12 Liverpool bound trains go through to Hunts Cross in the south end. Compared to Goodison, the public transport links will be excellent.

That stretch is. The working docks all moved to container ports upstream 50 years ago, and the old dock road has declined. It will be transformed in the next 10 years or so, like the city centre has been. I guess you haven't visited recently.

I've been to Liverpool recently and the city centre is far from depressing. They've done a great job with it.
