A new frontier is a season that was heavily effected by behind the scenes management. Constant rewrites and tons of cut content meant that the season wasnt that well plotted out. The studio was basically crunching 24/7 getting the episodes out You know how clementine has had flashbacks throughout the season? We were meant to get one for her in episode 5, but it got cut very late in development. It would’ve showed off her first day in the zombie apocalypse, and the death of Sandra. This game could’ve been so good, had they got the time to make it the best it could be
You know, according to my achievements I’ve played Walking Dead Michonne yet I can’t remember a single thing about it except that Malik Yoba voiced a character in it.
I will say this until I’m red in the face. I am season 3s only and most proud fan. This season had some of the best action/choreography in the games, choices that actually mattered (who Clem saves in dependent on her actions in the flashbacks) multiple endings a determinant character that managed to develop despite almost no one keeping him alive in Conrad and we also have Tripp. I really like Tripp,
I do love the intro of the families collapse and the brothers dynamic gave me the same vibes as the movie “brothers” with Toby maguire I do think telltale had to put javier as a main character because if it was clem again god knows how they would’ve butchered their story by the time the final season comes round
This season would've been so much more interesting if they ejected Joan entirely and have David be in charge making him responsible for Mariana's murder. There could've been a real interesting and painful story arc of him struggling to deal with the guilt and denial of his actions instead of the generic corrupt leader.
@@Bestgameplayer10 An the consequences of his action catches up to him, as do to his orders, and aggressive expansionist policy. That under his command he unknowingly killed his own kid and hurt his wife. An seen's Jesus is involve and explained that he found out New Frontier has raided not only other towns but also The Kingdom. Which would prompt Jesus to say do to David's actions this can be used as a cause for war. An that The Kingdom will call on its allies name dropping Alexandria and Hilltop Colony joining if this escalates. Even telling Javier how this alliance had just recently took down the Saviors sometime back.
I like the story but my issue is Kate, David and Gabe are all super unlikable so in the end I didn’t care if any of them died. As javi I didn’t care for Kate cuz it’s not like she had any outstanding qualities, David was obviously just asking to die and Gabe was just a bad character imo. That’s what made this season meh for me
To be honest I kinda liked S3, And Javi is a good character too but I don’t know if this is the most hated Walking Dead but I’d say Michonne , I mean it was decent, I kinda liked the gameplay than the story tbh.
This season had a alot of potential, but unfortunately it just happened to come around Telltales' initial fall and because of that a lot of your choices just feel worthless.
I can't lie though it's a nice change of pace coming directly after season 2 getting to play a full grown adult again. Playing as child clementine is cool but feels a bit limiting.
1:08:00 what if he's desperate and wants to be like Javier (focus on his family more) so he takes a bold move to get everyone away from the problem which was Richman.
There is actually a pay off for not shooting comrade if he lives he will get revenge for his wife by killing badger And will apologize for his actions by saving Javier
When I was watching another RU-vidr play TWD series I actually accidentally skipped his playthrough of A New Frontier and only missed TIDBITS of information which barely had any bigger impact on the main story. It is kind of understandable cause it is a side story after all but that becomes a bit trickier when there’s a key character’s (Clementine) bits of development embedded within the story. Then when I did get round to watching the playthrough of this it felt so flat in comparison to the other games that follow the main story, it had a lot of potential but I feel like it just didn’t work and that made me sad cause I really enjoyed Javi as a character.
Sidelining Clementine to put focus on Javier will always be Bizarre choice by Telltale. I mean Clem fades into the background most of the time in this game and Gabe x Clem eww burn it with fire 🔥 In my play through I cock blocked gabe at every opportunity and made my Clem loyal to me by siding with her 😊
damnnn i just finished your lcs video, so i go check your channel and not only have you dropped a new video a few minutes ago, but it's about one of my favorite franchises! nice!
This season was such a mess, I'm glad they abandoned pretty much everything about it for the next season Javi was cool, it's a shame about his family and the story he's tied too
lol I hated Kate in this season. Maybe it’s just me but regardless of how much an asshole David is I could never go steal my brothers wife especially when it’s clear that’s her motive the whole game even AFTER learning he’s alive. Seems I’m in the minority on that decision lol
I'd say season 4 was meh. This season was (in my opinion) the second best season. People give this season slack for bad character decisions and that they're no longer playing as clementine. Season 2 and 4 had even worse characters and character moments as well as bad decisions writing wise. IMO the ranking is: Season 1 Season 3 Micchone Season 2 400 days Season 4
Honestly s4 is pretty overrated I never felt that much of a connection with the s4 cast they were all pretty annoying and sort of unlikable to me expect Marlon and Tenn I never liked Violet or Louis which I know a lot of people liked. Louis felt kinda of annoying at times, I didn’t like the teenage cast at all and how they tried to push relationships for Clementine, Since s3 Clementine always have been hardened and showing no interest in romantic relationship. I understand her having some sort of feelings for Gabe but having Clementine choose to date Louis or Violet in ep2 was way to early for my liking since I didn’t feel that much connection to the characters. I know you can prefer not to date them but I always had a problem with the fact that we even had a dating option with those to. I had more connections with the s3 characters for some reason even though s3 was sort of a mess. Other than that I felt s4 was alright there wasn’t that much that happened in that season expect for ep 3 and ep 4 Clem getting bit also felt a bit forced. I understand that telltale wasn’t working on the game on that time because they went bankrupt so skybound had to try they’re best to finish it, overall for me 1. S1 2. S3 3.S2 4.S4
Hey did you ever get around to making that video on the GTA VI trailer? Been waiting for it since your San Andreas video and I'm curious to see what you think
