The Lady Of Iron which is refencing the amazing Effel Tower!! Very emotional episode and done very well to move the story forward!! Some further chemistry being showing between Daryl and Isabell!
He's considered a miracle because he was born 2 months premature to a walker and survived without the aid of neonatal equipment. He's intuitive and has visions plus very compassionate. In the apocalypse and surrounded by the religiously faithful that would make him special. I enjoyed the movement of the story with this episode. Thanks for the reaction!
Quinn is a controlling, misogynistic, narcissist. Isabelle chose her sister over him, and, rightfully, left him in the dust. Quinn is all about the power he has over people, especially Isabelle. He's using his own biological child as a tool to control Isabelle once again. No redemption for Quinn.
It seems the reason everyone knows about Laruent and sees him as a type of prophet is the priest from episode 1. The priest spread the word through the communities of his miracle birth and the fact that he's special. His intelligence, he can feel people's emotions and possibly even have premonitions like the one of Daryl
They better not kill off Isabelle, she's one of the best characters in the Walking Dead universe and we've only met her, her actress is amazing and the writing for her is good.
Remember in Episode 2 where after Lauraunt was born, the priest was exorcising his walker mother? And I'm guessing that they saw that as a demon, hence the attempt at exorcism. Remember that it was right at the start of the apocalypse, so none of the people in that scene knew about walkers. Additionally, I'm also guessing that being born from a demon and turning out to be a normal person counts as a miracle, or even a second coming of Jesus in the minds of the priests and nuns. So it might just be that Lauraunt is just a normal ass kid after all, it's just the religious aspect of it that is being confused with potential immunity.
That's what I was thinking - but this far into the apocalypse ( I don't care how isolated they are - they can't have survived this long without going through some things), they've seen how people turn so that can't be the reason right? They should have realized it wasn't actually a demon by now.
I keep seeing ppl compare Daryl to negan, but seriously our man Daryl has never had problems getting info outta ppl. Remember when he was w the Reapers, and in that scene alone he had to" even if it was for show" torture i think his name was frost. That was hard core so Daryl aint afraid to extract info at all
Great episode. Sucks that there's only 2 episode though. The ending gave me a vibe that Daryl and Isabelle could end up together or that Isabelle could be dying soon.
I think it is because he was actually born from a walker. She wasn’t just dead, she had turned. Therefore he may have “walker blood” in him. Hence why the walkers don’t pay attention to him in Daryl’s dream.
Daryl and Carol are my 2 favorite characters from TWD and I was looking forward to seeing them together in a spin-off. I was disappointed when Melissa McBride couldn’t be I season 1 for personal reasons, now I’m not sure if I want to see Carol in season 2. I kinda like Daryl on his own, being the leader.
What if the boat Daryl is taking back to the US, is the ship Madison, Daniel, Dwight, victor, luciana etc will be on. Fear is about the end and that would tie them in with Season two of Daryl Dixon.
Quinn has never gotten over Isabelle. Why would she ever mention him to Laurent. Such a narcissist. He very much has the need to impress upon folks all he’s done for them. Throwing in Isabelle’s face before about how he saved her. In Isabelle’s backstory, him saying to her that he would take care of her. He always takes care of her. Even if it meant dumping her pregnant sister. Making sure that Laurent knew that, although he wasn’t physically present, he was saved from the hungry ones because of him. I think Laurent is more so a means to an end for him (access to Isabelle).
I heard the next 2 episodes are the best ones. I agree with them toying with us about Laurent. They want us to think he's some sort of messiah. And I think we're gonna find out that he's not. They might even kill him off. I think the showrunners are gonna go in the direction of Daryl's atheist ways. I just can't see them going with the whole religious thing. They love to trick us right? So maybe they're just, "making him seem like he's special, but he's really not." Just like Daryl said. But if they do go with Laurent being some messiah, that will be interesting to see too. I like the show, but I agree with you guys when it comes to the variants. They need more. But they could be just working them slowly trying to work them in and I think we're gonna see a lot more of them in the last 2 episodes. Plus season 2 has been confirmed right so I'm sure we'll see a lot more then. Hopefully we get more than 6 episode. But maybe they were just waiting to see how season 1 did first?
Noticing Genet’s troops have armour and automatic weapons .. CRM trade deals of science/test results for weapons? Also Genet major CRM vibes, coat and all black.
I am French and I love your reactions. You are very close to the truth but it is hidden behind myths, the TWD universe and the Catholic religion. I have known the prophecy since the first episode and it is true that knowing this prophecy helps a lot to understand the series but it does not spoil the ending no need to read a 250-page book in French, you can find the prophecy on the net in 5 clicks you just have to follow the signs, the paths of the journey in the French Catholic tradition the figure of the Virgin Mary is as important as the figure of Jesus and this figure hides everywhere like Negan in season 6 in 1858 the Virgin Mary appeared 18 times to a 14 year old girl in the French village of Lourdes this is where Daryl meets Isabelle at the abbey of "Saint Bernadette" Bernadette SOUBIROUS the little 14 year old saint received 5 prophecies and 4 came true and the last one unfolds before your eyes just search for "Lourdes" "Virgin Mary" "Bernadette Soubirous" and "the 5 prophecies of the Virgin Mary to Saint Bernadette" and you will easily know the mysterious prophecy and you will see the series in a new light
I think Laurent is not necessarily immune, but that it has something to do with pheromones. Laurent was born living of a walking dead mother, within minutes of the turning. I think it was enough to give him some sort of identifier "with the pack", and we have seen - over and over again - our WD communities "dress" in walker guts to move through a hoard. I think that Laurent has that built in to his blood through his mother.
That would make "iron Lady" a double whammy - the 2 Statues of Liberty, facing each other across the ocean from Paris to New York, and "iron in the blood" of Laurent's mother.
I love ow the french had to raid museums and collections to get these old timey weapons contrasted to America where everyone is armed to the teeth with military grade stuff lol
I still want to know how Daryl ended up on a ship to France other then just being told it was because of a bunch of bad decisions. The ship came from France so what was it looking for in America? If that is where they picked up Daryl. Does Janae and her group have anything to do with the scientist we seen at the end of world beyond? so many more questions and not alot of answers yet.
I’ve been rewatching season 9 and in episode 7 when he’s talking with Henry about the traps he has set he talks about how they are for walkers not animals. He then says that ain’t no way for an animal to die slow and painful. He was sooo Jimmy in my head cannon😂
One thing came out that Laurent knew Isabelle was his Aunt and Quinn was his father but is he really his father because Quinn was ready to sacrifice Isabelle's sister because she was holding them back . If he knew he was the father then why would he want to throw her out of the car of leave her .Well she was bitten so the zombie blood is in Laurent he did survive most babies born was born of mother not bitten.
I don't think they missed on purpose, was suppose to just be a distraction as Quinn stated. Also, I think Daryl's Jimmy story was probably real and it was probably him.
this episode was kind of slow for me as well, but I was really just so confused about the opening sequence it totally threw me off. I like Isabel, I am hoping she heads back to the commonwealth when this is done.
Wouldn’t the sound from the Eiffel Tower draw walkers from miles away just like the BOG in World Beyond? And wouldn’t Daryl shooting the musket right next to the horse’s ear last ep scare it away just like Princess did in S10? Anyway…
That azlan dude waitimg on the boat gave me real bad vibes. I immediately based off ogf his look and outfit thought he was a villian and he sorta stands around in the back watching as the rest of them wait aroud. I think hes part of genetts army and killed the actually boat guy that was gonna meet them and pretended to be hil to get them on the boat and deliver them straight to gennet and cadron. Were still waoting to see daryl captured and i think thisll be it, and at the same time issabell learns that quinn gave daryl and laurent up so sge kills him and goes to save daryl and laurent. I think the singer lady might join issabele too, shes a mystery b3cause she seems really nice and against most of what quinn is doing but it also seems like shes up to something. I think last episode is issable dying to save them and daryl having to take care of him since he is a normal kid and doesnt want to ve special
Ya getting a CRM feel with the all in black French villan lady. I thought she was going to kill the baby, scared me! So im thinking that the guy that killed the violet scientist in post credit world beyond is going to be the good guys "The Nest". But where does world beyond scientists fit into that scenario??? Hummm
I really dont think Quinn is Laurents father. He just saying that to get to Isabelle to get her to stay with him. I hope Isabelle kills Quinn and gets out of there.
now a new spin on twd world...they hate doctors, horses, relationships and NOW pigeons...the pigeon lady in dead city and now the pigeon man here...lol..great reaction as always☺ you guys are terrific❤❤
Alot of ppl are saying that, but to me I kept seeing Daryl when he was w the Reapers. Remember when he had to torture that guy. That wasn't Negan influence. Daryls always had that ability ino
I'm choosing to believe that opening bit was a dream. 😶 Also, if so many people believed he was so special... why tf was he left at a nunnery with no defense?! 🤔🤨
hope she doesnt do that weird chemical test on laurent.. a french version, of "is this kid really immune? let something bite it, and see" .. like dwight and cherries kid... id like laurent to totally survive. and be forced to seek shelter at commonwealth, grow up one day to return... be a next gen character alongside 'odd-ball adventures with my mates, judith, rj, and hershal'.. lol id have preferred dwight and cherries kid in the mix... but oh well...
For the French, especially the older citizens, their history of their culture is closely woven with Catholicism, so references to their faith and saviors leading them are in their belief system. From Joan of Arc to the Virgin Mary appearing in Lourdes, France . The same French city that Madam Genet’ says she heard of a “miracle birth from Lourdes” which because of the previous miracles that happened there in their history of France easily ties into a people of survivors who would believe and have hope restored by this baby (Laurent) and waited for him to become of age to begin his destiny. Laurent is also very educated, intelligent and religious and able to read people’s emotions. He would be groomed as a leader the populace could believe and is why he becomes a threat to Madam Genet’ and her mission to control the populace by fear and intimidation and by weaponizing the walkers for her advantage. He is a threat that has to be eliminated and now he is also with her other big threat, the American (Daryl Dixon). I like the premise of the story and the religious pinnings because in an actual apocalypse many people who survive will be praying for a savior and leader to lead them out of the dark and nightmare.
So, it literally moves the plot forward more than some of the other episodes, and you call it filler? It is becoming hilarious how many people just completely and utterly misuse the word filler at this point.
We’re almost near the end. RIP the pigeon guy🐦🥲, hoping to get great story the next two eps. And that beginning part..yeah I’m thinking if it was real he really might be somewhat half Zombie esk able to be ignored/ not seen or recognized by the zombies as one of them…so long as he doesn’t draw attention obviously
I understand what your saying but with everyone already having the virus wouldnt it be the same for everyone unless there is something different in the bites vs the virus they already have. with his mom getting that bite so close to giving birth could it have been enough time to pass something to him in her blood? sorry i know i'm putting way to much thought into this lol.
@@katinamartin7934 lol your right that’s my train of thought somewhat also, like yeah everyone has the virus but did his mom as you said pass some type of slight upgraded immunity along with him having the virus ofc
If you're still watching anything associated to The Walking Dead, you have to be invested into the character stories. Sitting there hoping and wanting the walkers to be a main part of the story is futile at this point. I haven't watched that show for the walker aspect of it for years. I'm far more interested in the human aspect of things. The walkers are just an annoyance as far as I'm concerned.
idk if it's kid actors or the scripts they're given but when featured they usually are boring or take you out of suspension of disbelief. would a kid raised as a messiah be that non self-aware? daryl's cool, carl was good. laurent is a broody 2d sad face
He was isolated by nuns for his whole life, he didn’t even know how his mother looked until episode 3 and he knew who his dad was just based off assumptions. I don’t think he will be to aware of his situation
He was literally screaming at them "I'm right here" though, wasn't he? Had the red eyes and all that, like I said, I could be mistaken lolol. Hope y'all have a good day!😁
@@tiffanysullivan5454he had necrosis which is where cells start to die. He literally smelled like death, it’s the same as when people use the guts trick
I love twd but... this spinoff is not great. What even happened in this episode? We are walking in circles! There is so much filler, and at the end, here we are, just taking laurent to his destination yet again.. no new information. We dont know why Laurent is special, we know nothing about madam genat in the black jacket, no good scene of the fast walkers. What was the purpose of the pigeon dude? It took 10 minutes to get that out of the way. The story is moving soooo slow 🐌.
I believe the liberty statue could possibly have been an easter egg and daryl dreaming of laraunt he may believe hes immune world war z the zombies left the sick be @nocbronatiin
