It was an ok premiere but Carol really screwed Ash over. Trashed his place then manipulated him. Im sure she'll soon regret it. Daryl ambushing Genet was awesome until Genet magically disappeared lol

5:58 that’s exactly what i was thinking when i saw that drive in movie theater, I would love to see ty swell make an environmental story telling vid on this. though im still hoping to see some environmental story telling in france from last season or from the episodes to come. such a great series you are doing

Everything just kept happening too perfectly to be believable. The second she needs transport to get to France, plane appears. Needs a lie? He has a dead son. Needs to go now? Storm hits and strikes gate open. Smh

Also with the Laurent "messiah" storyline I believe the leader at the nest is using Laurent and his story strictly for political power. To be a religious leader to the people. Now why they are at war with Genet i either forgot or we just don't know yet? lol

To me I liked this episode and I find sad we’re Carol had PTSD seeing her own dead daughter again. I have a weird feeling that we might lose Ash in this show and I actually like him he gives me Dale vibes.

I actually thought of your environmental storytelling videos right away when Carol stumbled upon the drive-in movie theater.

I thought it was pretty, a good episode to get the plot going for the season. Now all the pieces are moving. Daryl, conflict with the nest. We see boil over in the trailer. Carol’s desperation, not to lose Daryl, that she’s going back into her. Undercover form again. Lying about. Sophia. Overall I like it. I’m not sure why people don’t. But I am a bit biased I guess. And I’m starting to wonder now Ty if he gives Dixon up to Madame Jhené. It would make sense after what we’ve seen in this episode. I think, Losang. Might throw Dixon under the bus. I don’t want to say he was responsible for this capture. But it would make sense. He is willing to do anything. To make sure Laurent stays on the path that he wants. 2:41 I’m with you, but you have to be careful not to run into an ambush. We don’t know how big her convoy is. I think the reason why he doesn’t chase her. Is his learning. Not to chase people. Without a plan first. From the save arc. And a mistake Carol made. During the whisperer arc. So I disagree, but I see what you’re saying. My biggest question going out of this episode. Is, does Losang. Have some sort of deal going with Madame Jhené. And he throws Dixon under the bus.

Watching the episode and seeing the drive in scene the first thing that came to mind I was I hope we get an environmental story video

I'm honestly stoked I found your channel dude, I love TWD despite how things went with the show causing me to lose interest for a few years. Your channel has reignited that spark for me, so thank you! Have you considered also covering Telltale's TWD games? I'm sure you could find lots of great stories and concepts to cover there even though it isn't directly from the show or the comics. Either way, seeing Carol being 'Carol' is a breath of fresh air for sure - and I hope they don't lean too hard on Daryl for this spin-off and let his character be true to his nature. It's why everyone loves him so much right?

I nearly fell asleep three times during this episode.

The episode was okay, but for a premiere it didn't really get me that excited, i already knew that Carol would go to France and that Daryl would fight that woman's people, it was set up before, they should've surprised us with a flashback when Carol gets the news that Rick returned, okay maybe Andrew can't return for a quick cameo, but at least make her see him from a distance, or the plane he used to get back, that would've surprised me for sure.

I really appreciated the call-back to Season 2 with Sophia and the Cherokee Rose. There doesn’t seem to be many of these call-backs, but when there are. I really appreciate it.

They explained that all scenes with Carol in the states was actually filmed in France. They tried to find locations that look American.

I think the writing is not good at all. Why would that guy, all at the drop of a hat, leave his survival stuff behind and his property where his kid is buried? Also he flew away on his plane and just left Carol, a total stranger, to wander his property. The logic should be that a guy who survives this long, knows everything and understands all of the risks of dealing with other people who are still alive

dirigible is what they need, the jet thing is stupid and look that fuel well it wouldnt work. How does that work with Greenland fuel because you gotta have it with you or maybe you have it set up already. So fine How about dig a trench 6 feet deep than on the far side you make a mud brick wall before power gate that probably will fail so you maybe do not do real locks but instead you use a big rock to hold it shut

Even though I still love the fandom, what had me actually watching TWD in the first place was The Grimes Family. Now, that they're reunited, I don't have the inclination to watch episodes live anymore so I'm glad you and Man of Recaps are keeping me in the loop about what's going on. Not to mention that the vast majority of the characters that I truly loved outside of The Grimes are dead, already safe, or given what I've heard about Dead City's alleged next direction: about to be the past the point of no return due to Bad Writing. IYKYK. I REALLY hope it's just rumors to throw off spoiler hunters and leakers but you never know. ANYWAYS, I'm glad that BAMF yet rational when it counts Carol is back and I'm glad that Daryl is still Daryl, despite being in a completely different setting with a completely different Group/Big Bads to deal with. I'm looking forward to them reuniting and to seeing how that affects the overall TWDU going forward.

That Daryl story is a direct rip-off of "The Last of Us". Angsty teen holds key, must be escorted by middle aged tough guy through infested lands, for some purpose. Come on, don't tell me I am wrong. "But Daryls in it!" Still a shite rip-off.
