This is brief overview of the Definitive Edition of The Walking Dead series from Telltale & Skybound games its includes all Seasons and DLC on the disc!
Along with Director Commentary, Concept Artwork, In Game music, Character viewer, and the Graphic Black Effect from the Final Season that can be turned on or off for every season even Seasons 1 & 2 along with Dynamic Lighting also applied to all earlier seasons to improve the visuals.
I also run a side by side comparison of the Graphic Black effect on and off so you can decide if its something you would like.
But unlike some of the TellTales games that only include episode one on the disc and all others have to be download this includes ALL episodes on disc including DLC that alone is worth it

I believed that the black effect would make the game look better, and yes, the textures look better but the colors are not pleasing to the eye The original color is better than the black effect. The Temp.4 has been created with that effect and that is why it looks so good. But the rest nope

Graphic Black Effect really stands out and makes the game look much better when you have it side by side with the Normal Graphic Effect.

I thought so too, I think it makes the other colors pop so much better. But some people hate it , too each their own :)

Just got this game today for my ps4 pro/Ps5. I had season 1-2 and dlcs for my ps3, I already have season 3 and 4 for my Xbox one x so I got the ps4 version to play on my pa4 pro or ps5.

This game is absolutely amazing I love the story I want to re-record it with no commentary then put it on a DVD so I could watch it lol

As far as i understood is that u see things n npc´s better in the black version compared to old version... But is it that big of a diference to the game,i still have a few seasons to play(only 2 full seasons so far i have gamed yet+started 1st hou´r into 3rd now a few days ago,so for the rest of the games is it better to have this black effect in games to play?

Hi, in my opinion it looks better everything looks more defined , detailed , and easy to read even small signs in the background you would never even notice without the filter. The only downside compared to the graphic black filter being off is that bright colors are not as bright but in my opinion they don’t need to be considering the blacks are darker making the colored parts visually pop more. But gameplay wise there is no difference this is simply a graphic filter doesn’t change the story in any way. Plus Season 4 is only in Graphic Black Filter mode so its kinda weird to play seasons 1-3 without it then all of a sudden have it on , which also in my opinion is another reason to enable it which is actually enabled by defeat for all seasons in the definitive edition anyway.

Graphic black looks awful. Colors are washed out and almost sepia tinted, contrast is too high. The brightness of everything is increased, but not the saturation. It might have looked good in black and white, but as it is, it just ruins the colors. It's like all it does is turn the contrast up to 200%.
