The Walking Dead: Destinies is WORSE than you can imagine 

I absolutely LOVE that there is a Gollum-like genre now.

Now we need a "worst game of the year" awards. I want people to argue over which is the worst game of 2023 and get mad at other people for having a different opinion of which game is worse.

Daryl tanking those 80 zombies by floating above the ground and crane kicking them was just like the TV show. 10/10 game.

Love how he says…“I have to protect Lori and Carl” when Carl died awhile ago.

The worst thing about this Game is, that the Choices and alternative Stories ARE interesting, it’s just that everything else sucks

The concept of this game could’ve worked if it wasn’t made by the game developer equivalent of a half eaten moldy cheese sandwich

I love how Rick just immediately knows what walkers are and calls them walkers the moment he wakes up from a coma.

I just loved the whole fact that so many parts of the show were glossed over; its really highlighted when someone who has never seen the show before plays this game. There was literally zero explaination as to why Carl got shot- the kid just exploded upon seeing a deer.

Game Mill really bringing down the Grade Point Average for the entire gaming industry just by existing.

I love the way Glenn screams at the top of his lungs "THIS WILL DISTRACT THEM" while throwing a bottle 5 feet away. Easiest GOTY I've seen

Imagine if soldiers just kept repeating "Out of ammo" "Lock and load" "more for me" "don't mind if I do" every single time they reloaded their gun or refilled their magazines. WWIII is going to be a fever dream.

My favorite moment was Shane saying "I need to keep Lori and Carl safe" during the barn horde fight. I guess he forgot he already failed to keep Carl safe, because he was dead at that point.

I know you haven't seen the show so let me explain the whole deer shooting Carl thing: Carl was looking at the deer, when some guy named Otis shot through the deer and hit Carl. Otis isn't in the game though, so I don't know how Carl got shot.

The most intense part of the game is when Rick slippled into a coma.

The characters screaming "I can't do this anymore!" Is very relatable when playing this game.

I love how he just got out of a hospital bed and barely walks yet already does extremely fast combat rolls on hard floors

Oh my God I can't stop laughing at this one. I didn't think it could get better, then Rick starts tanking 12 gauge shotguns like a Terminator

I never thought I'd see the day where a game has WORSE voice acting than amateur porn.

Glenn/the characters yelling "This will distract them!" while throwing a bottle that makes less noise than his screaming will always be hilarious.

As someone who lives in Atlanta, I am glad to see the zombie apocalypse cleared up the streets and solved the traffic problems. Honestly, in this version of the city it is probably easier to get things done around the Holiday season.

Kev must have sneaked in a game Devs studio, dug deep into the box labeled " worst games i've ever made " and picked up the games that had " your eyes will be forever haunted by this " sticker on them

The context from the show is that one of the farmhands named Otis (who I guess is just absent from this game) was hunting, didn't see Carl, and shot the deer. Carl was admiring the deer. The bullet went through the deer and hit Carl.

“Did the deer shoot Carl??” Made me WHEEZE

1. The fact that the publisher is LITERALLY CALLED GameMill Entertainment should really tell you where their priorities lie. 2. The fact that they published this AND Rise of Kong AND that new Avatar: The Last Airbender game in the same year is astonishing. 3. When you are the same publisher behind BIG RIGS: OVER THE ROAD RACING, and you are STILL putting out games like this two decades later, it’s time to step away from this industry and never publish anything again.

The entire section following 27:18 where Daryl is just getting swamped by zombies whilst Kev sits back and watches is the funniest I have seen in quite a while

Had the game gotten better gameplay, better voice acting, etc; the concept of this game would have been received more positively based on the story choices you can make and carve people’s “destinies” in the Walking Dead

As someone that has watched a few seasons of this show, this plot is a little topsy-turvy. For example, they clearly forgot one of the characters which has made things a little strange. I swear, that deer didn't have a gun on the TV show. XD

From the footage I've seen on this game it looks like the only change with difficulty is your stamina percent used per action...top tear balancing.

That fight with Shane and the Heavy is ripped off EXACTLY from The Last of Us Part 1, when Joel encounters the Heavy in the school gym.

I like how in scene where Carl gets shot they leave out the character that actually shoots him. So it’s implied that the deer actually shot Carl.

I love even when sneaking around, the character is shouting "I'll take that".

I laughed so hard during the part where you were picking up the bottles and all you hear is, “Don’t mind if I do.” This is why I subscribed lol

Or the time Daryl went all berserk at the old man at the RV 'cause he stole the radiator cap? Or when Shayne tried to kill Rick only to Lorie to appear with the steel chair and hit Shayne, only to fail and hit the referee and Rick was DQ'd, retaining the WWE Universal belt? Damn, what was in that drink...

WHY does this actually fit whatever vague UI and gameplay features evoke that "Gollum-like" feeling in me and probably everyone else. I thought we were done, and fear for whichever license will bestow the next one upon us, maybe even before the calendar rolls over to 2024.

I read a lot back and forth support like "don't judge a game by graphics, and it has 150 different endings" before launch. 🤣it is a $9.99 game at best. And that's pushing it.

The deer/Carl moment. Carl was shot by a guy who hunted the deer. He shot Carl by accident. When in town getting supplies Shane shoots the guy in the leg because he used him to buy time so he could escape with the meds.

What makes this worse, is that some of the actual actors are voice actors in this 😂

I noticed 😊27:33, Shane says "we need to keep Carl and Lori safe" when in your playthrough, Carl is already dead. Love that they marketed this game as being able to choose your own path and who lives or dies to change the outcome of the story but literally never scripted any dialog for "non-canon" options. Tbh this game isn't even funny bad to me like Kong or Golem, it's just sad bad. There's so many cool characters in the series and they reduced them all down to even say the same things when panicked, wrathful, and even when picking things up. The reason why the walking dead survived as long as it did and why it was as popular as it was, is because of its focus on characters rather than the obvious zombies, because the whole point of the show was that the real threat was other people, not the walkers, and the characters are what made the show what it was (at its peak, not to say it didn't fall off, I stopped seriously watching around the time Jesus was killed because the show lost itself). The fact they reduced everyone down to some basic "universal" lines of dialog that anyone says, and made the focus the combat, and reduced the high tension scenes that develop the story and move the characters along their arcs to basically a cheap slide show of posed models with terrible expressions, really shows how they don't know what the property is even about or what made it popular in the first place. And hey, if you're going to make the game combat driven, at least make the combat good.

Can we have worst game of the year category next month in Game Awards?
