I definitely agree. Daryl's spinoff is so different and refreshing. The only ones who don't agree are the grown people who were complaining about having to read a few subtitles
Definitely not the same as the main show. A significantly worse, plot hole filled, badly written and more goofy attempt to copy the main show because the new showrunners were clueless apes who held their 5 season jobs for 5 seasons too long
The fact that Rick took down the entire crm in less than an hour is insane. The way they were building it up you'd think the spin-off would be longer than the main show
Here I was genuinely holding onto some kind of misguided faith in AMC, hoping that the characters would reunite to take it down in a worthwhile climax that would make up for pulling the plug on season 11. But no, let's just whip a nonsensical six episode ending out of our ass and send those central characters whose bonds with one another were the entire point of the show spiraling away from each other indefinitely. Wow thanks 😭
Im still pissed off by the ending of Daryl's series cause why would he stay in france with people he knew for a couple weeks and leave the people he knew for over a decade
@@jtown0065they made a massive army made every episode saying how strong they are and in 1 episode they blow it all up? How can you take a massive military infrastructure with lore and so many good things about it and just destroy it like it’s a commonwealth settlement
I think is kinda dissapointing... like... they been telling us the CRM was going to be the biggest enemy in the whole twd universe... and got destroyed in only one episode?? For real? I mean... 500 year plan to rebuild the world, the biggest military on the planet, managed to keep Rick Grimes locked in for 8 years and got wiped out in only ONE episode just because "Rick and Michonne together can do anything"? Like it seemed so unreallistic that in one episode they returned to cascadia base and were able to kill Beale, Thorne, the whole CRM army and military, make the civic republic and portland find out about the true evil intentions of the CRM and at the end returning safe and sound to Judith and RJ who were specifically there waiting for them to land? In only one episode. I mean i understand they wanted to give it and end and not make a season 2 or make movies, and give us the happy ending we wanted. But i feel it was at the very least... rushed. Like they made us thought Beale was the biggest menace of the whole universe... and he appeared less than Gareth, and was much easier to kill... then kill Thorne and the whole of the CRM in the same episode... it just seems odd to me, like, we got the ending we wanted, but way too soon, like everything went perfect and as planned for the first time in their lifes... in only one episode, when there were like 3 episodes which their point was Michonne trying to gain back the Rick Grimes she once knew. They spent a whole episode chasing Jadis so in the end she died, but in only one episode they wiped out the whole CRM, saved portland and told everyone the CRM was evil, killed Pearl Thorne, killed Beale, AND returned to their children all in an one hour lapsus?? I would feel like an idiot if i was with the endlings on the world beyond since their whole objective was doing the thing Rick and Michonne did in only ONE episode, and they couldn't do it on an entire season. Like... the world beyond was supposed to teach us about how dangerous the CRM, Jadis and Beale actually were... and they just ended them in one episode, very similar with what game of thrones did to the long night. But anyways, that's only what i believe and u may or not agree with me. Feel free to tell me or share your thoughts
I love love the Darryl Dixon series best! However, I loved The Ones Who Lived!! I was so happy to see Rick and Michonne get a happy ending! I really needed that happy conclusion!❤
Daryl is the best spin off in the universe new characters More insight into variant walkers new location it’s just better yeah Rick is cool but dead city and wol felt like watching season 11
I'm actually with him on this one. TOWL was phenomenal but didnt hold throughout, the ending was unsatisfying and literally every new character died lol. But DD was great every episode, has interest side characters dont dont die and can actually contribute to the story and a thrilling plot that leaves you excited for season 2
@JohnJohn-bz1lq TOWL gave us the biggest insight on the crm and what they're plans were and cleared up many theories also verified there was a lot more large communities in the world before the crm killed them all
Everyone forgets FTWD dead in the water It was a really nice spin off to fear the walking dead, that show only shows us zombies and not much human conflict and makes the show feel like it is a zombie apocalypse show
Personally I’d agree Daryl is number 1. It feels like there’s a lot more love and care behind that one than the other spin offs and am hoping that continues in future seasons
I would love to see a spin-off of all the main characters kids, so like Coco, Judith, RJ, Hershel, hell even Jerry and Aaron’s kids. I think it would be interesting to see them like 10 years in the future. I think that could be a really good spin-off.
I think what made Daryl Dixon so good is the fact that there aren’t really any over powered automatic weapons to use. Instead they result to muskets and flint locks. Now obviously in the show we saw some automatic rifles but I think it’s cool to see another take on the apocalypse with little to no weapons and a whole new country.
I mostly agree with this list. Only difference is that world beyond would be 5 and FTWD would be last FTWD never got better by that much; it tried in the beginning to get us to care about a family dynamic no one should care about. Even putting strong characters like Morgan and Dwight could never be enough to save it
Oh nah the ones who live first episode was better than the entirety of Daryl Dixon and dead city both shows kinda kept going in a dead end in terms of character arcs but Daryls was just straight up boring sometimes the fights were good but I wish we got more variants then just xenomorph rip offs and a walker on steroids
i haven’t watched daryl dixon and i won’t cause what is it even about? like how the hell did he end up in france and what’s the point of the show? his show just seems unnecessary and their truly showing that they’re just dragging it on.
As someone who had no interest in the Daryl spinoff and was so immensely hype for towl, I disagree. I thought towl was rushed, corny, the pacing was terrible, the characters spoke like they hopped out of fanfiction, the writing was disjointed, the dialouge was horrendous, like words can't describe how disappointed I was with Rick being my favourite character. The actors were still great and there were a few scenes I liked, but all their good concepts were wasted on rushed plot lines and completely out of character moments. The Daryl show was shot better and aside from a few corny lines the dialouge was leagues above, felt like something written back in season 3-5 era. The plot was subtle but at least Daryl didn't take down all of France with the power of love and believing in yourself.

World beyond was a very mixed bag. Season 1 was slow, boring in places, there wasn’t much happening and just dragged its feet for 10 episodes. Season 2 was a lot better, faster paced, the ending was good, Jadis was a nice return and ended kinda well though leaves questions. Like in The Ones Who Live, I don’t think any of the characters get mentioned. I remember Silas was being trained for the CRM, can’t really remember what the other characters are doing but still. The end credits screen with Dr Jenner was a real surprise and with the new Walker variant was just brilliant!
Tales of the walking dead was a fun show. I really liked the Blair and Gina episode. I hope we see more comedic type projects set in the TWD universe. I’m still waiting on more tales of the walking dead show if it’s still happening.
my rank rn is 1. towl, 2. daryl. 3 dead city just bc i feel like towl is tying up the loose ends to have everyone back again but cannot give enough credit to daryl’s show for that “new” we needed
I loved the first episode of TOWL, the other episodes were also decent but idk, daryl dixon had a very good vibe, and i loved the finale and fight scenes.
Fear the walking dead was by far better than any of the new spin offs. I got to a point where I was far more invested in the fear the walking dead characters than characters from the real walking dead
That take on world Beyond is nuts. It took until that show came out for us to actually understand what the CRM was doing I felt like the first season gave us more insight on the greater world around that series then we got in the first nine seasons of the flagship show
Fear the walking dead's last 5 seasons were terrible, but the first 3 seasons were fire. If we count just the first 3 season fear twd is the best spin off
Daryl dixon was really good and i can't wait for the 2nd season but towl had better pacing between the episodes and explored an interesting and unknown side of rick , also the ending of daryl dixon felt kinda rushed and had no built up to it

Fear was good for the first couple seasons but it got so boring and so dry. My mum and I continued watching to get to Morgan’s first episode but even when he joined he barely added anything. We had to stop in the end because it was almost painful trying to get through the episodes.
Dead city was better then the once’s who live which started good but it was mostly talking not a lot of action and honestly their was a lot that didn’t happen like I was happy that they saw their kids again but it would’ve been better if they gave us a few more reuniting moments
glad i'm not the only one who thinks so first 3 episodes were good, then it turned into a fan fiction, full of fan service moment, and they ruined a great plot point with the CRM
@ronert02 yeah see I thought all the episodes but the last just felt like fillers like the epsiode in the hotel room all they did for the entire show was fight and make love the whole time they could have went above and beyond even the reunion was lacklustre. I've always defended the series but after that snooze fest how do I defend that lol
@@richardpavlovic6964 for me personally the ending were the worst, they defeated the CRM off screen. this super villain that commited genocide on 2 other large communities, that kept Rick locked for YEARS. they literally just threw away an AMAZING plot for fan service
