Yup, Rick loses his hand way back during the Governor story arc in the comics. The show chose to leave it out for practical reasons over such a long show. It's a nice little nod to have it included in a shorter show.

The Daryl show isn’t worth it. It was silly. And served no purpose. This is probably the only good spin off in a long time since Fear 1-3 seasons. Tales, trash, World Beyond, trash, Dead City, Meh, Daryl Show, meh.

First off I’m so glad to see rick back and michonne . Loved everything about this episode except rick losing his hand especially the way it fucking happened. It was not necessary it was the dumbest way to lose a limb cutting it on purpose . Rick cutting his own hand off without getting bit or not getting in a dangerous im stuck in a merle zombie type situation was worse for rick here. And people saying general beal is this so called ricks greatest villain , then you would think he would be the evil guy to cut ricks hand to show who has power here and to punish rick for trying to escape , but no … This was the dumbest way to cut ricks hand off by doing it to himself for preety much for nothing to also just really slow him down more with trying to get away anyways . The hell with having people keep bringing up the dam comics . What happens in the comics should stay there . The main shows over and ricks story with that shit that never happened anyway changed so much from the way it did differently in the comics . I know in the comics rick lost his hand early on by the governor but now they wanna make rick actually lose his hand a different way this late?? I think it’s silly to cut Rick’s hand off. The show had diverted so far from the comics that I feel like it’s irrelevant to do that now . I understand ricks been through it with these people keeping him prisoner for over 10years being stuck here but man cutting off your own hand was not worth it and there’s no going back after doing that permanent damage . We all know that eventually this series rick and michonne will find a way out of this mess with rick only having his 1 hand meaning he really didn’t have to cut his hand off from that last different escape attempt he went for. Rick getting his hand cut off felt so rushed and carelessly. There was no big climax to the big decision to cut it off and then wasn’t really worth it after the fact . Really had hoped it was a dream sequence.😭😭

Okafor explained that he bombed Atalanta and LA and was ordered to do the same to Philadelphia. His wife along with 4000 other marines were waiting to sweep in and kill off any survivors of the airstrikes not wanting to see another city burn Okafor bombed his wife and those marines instead of the city

Honestly if you guys liked this, i think you would like Daryl's show. I would say it is on par writing wise, and has a similar big budget look. Yes there is a confirmed season 2, but the seasons are only 6 episodes so it's not a big commitment.

Btw yall seemed to miss that he wasnt bombing cities. In the scene with the general guy (old man from lost) you probably missed that okafor bombed the marines who were going to bomb the cities. I believe he was initially part of the bombings but his wife and him couldnt bare to do it anymore so he bombed the 4k marines and his wife was one of the marines. He made the decision to sacrifice her to get the marines before they could bomb the cities. Actually i think he might have even said she wanted him to do it but i might be misremembering that part. Try rewatching the scenes and maybe youll follow better cause ik i probably didn't explain it well lmao. Also you all were like "how did bombing them help you?" well like he was saying hundreds of thousands of people would have died in the bombings. Maybe they all died later because of the zombies but imo thats better than having the marines bomb you without having been given the chance to live. His bombing of the marines gave the city inhabitants a chance to live.

I’d recommend you watch Dead City and Daryl Dixon, Daryl especially has been a solid show and is deffo worth watching The quality of the content has been far better over the course of these shows compared to world beyond and what Fear turned into And it helps that Norman, Jeffery, Lauren, Andrew and Danai are all exec producers on their shows and more involved with the creative side with Andrew and Danai been co-creators of The Ones Who Live. Danai has even written an episode for this series
