Your sudden realization why Father Gabriel was in this episode was wonderful. It had been such a long time since the Gabe and Ann arc happened in the main series but it makes so much sense to show their relationship, though changed, continued.
Curve balls all season. Loving the writing ✍🏽 and the twists and turns. Loving the acting and the chemistry and dynamic between Rick and Michonne. This series is phenomenal 👏🏽
Back on episode 1, when Rick visted Esteban at the park in the city, there were people holding and making pickett signs against CRM. That tells me the people in the city are very unhappy with the military. The people may rise up when the military falls.
6:56 The first time Jadis visited Gabriel, it was in between the events of Seasons 9x5 and 9x6. Gabriel mentions the Radio Eugene made in Season 9. The second time is in between the events of Seasons 10 and 11. Gabriel mentions how the Whisperers ruined Alexandria. The last time is shortly after Season 11 most likely.
17:18 As someone who actually LOVED World Beyond, I'm so happy this episode acknowledged Huck's death and how important she was to Jadis. I was hoping we'd see some more characters from that show here like Elizabeth, Iris, Silas or Elton, but seeing Huck in a flashback was good enough.
I think they’ve already found Alexandria. At the start where Gabriel was looking up at the sky, I think that’s the helicopters flying to bomb Alexandria. The echelon briefing could be about the places they’re going to destroy and Alexandria is on there, hence michonne looked so scared when she was watching it in the trailer for ep6
@@alkavonstra5479 Lmao I totally forgot about that for a second my bad. The writers didn't even want to do that to funny enough. That was all Christians idea
Your slow realization and reaction to Gabriel is amazing lmaoo, unfortunately I got it spoiled so it doesn't hit the same. So fucking good to see him back though, especially after thinking we'd never see him again after season 11.
First time Gabe and Anne met was sometime before they met the Whisperers, then it was before the commonwealth, and then the final time was before the one year time jump in the series finale, and then it was now 13 years in the apocalypse and Gabe doesn't know Anne is dead
I feel like they’re going to end up running into Gabriel in the woods on the way back and he’s going to tell them that RJ and Judith are at the commonwealth and take them there.
Gabriel’s scenes were him in Virginia. Rick and Michonne were on the west side of the country and now they are heading even further west to the Oregon area.
MovieFusion, I hope Rick will find out about Tara, Enid, Jesus, Henry and Siddiq, Also Michonne doesn’t know about Rosita, Beatrice, Laura and Alden, rip Jadis, it was good to see Father Gabriel back
Ive seen some reactions for this episode and im surprised many didn't know Jadis made those paintings. There's a really quick mention in a scene with Carol in season 9. She never name drops, but she was talking about her. I remember catching that, but you had to really pay attention.
All 5 episodes have been high in quality in my opinion. If I had to rank them: 1. Episode 1 2. Episode 4 3. Episode 2 4. Episode 5 5. Episode 3 One good thing about the 6 episode format. There’s not much room for the “filler” episodes that TWD likes to do. Although I would prefer 8 episodes per season. Overall this is still better than the 16 episode formats for me.
Given that the writing has been on point thus far, there's no way they wouldn't have a conflict with their plan. The writing has been very smart, and they've been out-writing a lot of these Hollywood blockbuster writers by a mile the whole time. They know there's no story without conflict. I'll trust where they're going based on the journey thus far.
Jadis was a favorite character of mine, and I actually cried when she died. She was just a conflicted survivor. Her conversations with Gabriel kept her grounded, proving she didn't buy everything from the CRM preached. I will miss her. Just an FYI, she identified herself as Jadis Stokes in World Beyond. 😊 RIP Jadis!
This episode was great the flash back scenes with Jadis and Gabriel was awesome I was hoping Jadis wouldn’t get killed off but they handle it perfectly 10/10 episode
Jadis broke my heart. I didn't think I would get so emotional over her story and death. I was actually sad to see her go. I'm glad she chose be Anne in the end. I never thought Anne was a bad person. They are all pushed to do the unthinkable...all of them.
yeah.. obviously her choices in her mind are justified - as well as with her personal conflict of not wanting to “keep losing”, but they were still bad things. this was definitely a great way to show her choices and why. literally an explanation from herself. i’m just glad i’m not the only one who felt empathy for her reasoning behind them
Ninja Walkers took out Jadis lol was anxious about Gabriel dying the whole time cause Jadis mentioned killing someone earlier in and I thought she meant him.
this must've been the Gabriel spin off we were hearing about but it wasn't actually his and I think CRM actually do know where Alexandria is they just don't know Rick came from there yet, the scene where Anne woke Michonne and Rick up was just like when Jesus did it except they weren't naked this time i suspect because it ed to an action scene and they didn't want to be running and jumping about naked but they did have sex again it seemed so it would make sense for them to be naked, the action in this episode was great how Rick used his metal fist to break the rock up and that car chase,
Really sad to see Jadis go but I think her getting bit was pry the only way she was going to realize what she needed to do. I just think she was so torn between the two lives and eventually chose our people even though it was too late
The finale will hold big events, such as the Echelon briefing, summit of leadership within the CRM, and the release of the file holding Alexandria's location. At this point in time, Alexandria is still standing, but most of our "vital" characters are living in the Commonwealth currently, so it's not the end of the world if Alexandria is destroyed, but it would be the beginning of a catastrophic conflict - in my eyes, that would be a perfect way to end this season (even tho its a major cliffhanger). The Echelon Briefing is huge - we've been building this thing up since the first episode, so I have big expectations. As for the Summit of Leadership, I still have this feeling that Philly's leadership wants power and control of all the resources on the continent. This would lead them to murking Portland's leaders and taking control of it's territories. With those 3 things alone, this finale has a lot to unpack, even if it doesn't dive into Rick and Michonne dividing the Civic Republic's people from its military.
Jadis meeting with Gabriel the first time was three years before current day it seems, so what around the time of the Whisperers? By their second meeting we're probably after Rosita's death.
Pretty sure it’s going to end with Rick going home and Michonne going to Portland or the hidden city to tell everyone the military’s secret. Ik they will separate willingly by the end of the
21:56 If no season 2 it will be a new show guarantee. I think now Michonne going back home in the end and that what carol said to Daryl, Carol cameback.
@@sydcharlotte They should keep The Ones Who Live. Every living character said it in the series finale. Even those that weren’t present like Morgan and Dwight. This is the show that should outlast all the spinoffs and be the end for the main cast.
I think Gabriel and Rosita at one point were broken up in season 11 when Rosita and Daryl were training for Mercer because Gabriel told Rosita if he could take Cocoa for the night👍 Actually episode 6 is less time than the other episodes and yes there will be a season 2 obviously. When you get a chance rewatch the trailer and me being me 😂 had to widen that shit if the message board next to Pearl...it read reclamation PPP Exception on the left side. It could mean something or it's just an Easter egg👍🤷
I think the first meeting between Gabe and Anne is in S10(because it was only 3 years ago). Then i think 2 years ago and 1 ywar ago is after Rositas death and just before TOWL.
I believe this was after Rosita’s death because the time skip after the bridge was 6 years. And season 9-11 they had another time skip feel free to correct me wrong though
I bet its a cliffhanger and season 2 will happen when maggie negan show go to crm connected with the city mafia and daryl about to go back to usa met carol and went to crm with the cure (or not) then they all met in season 2 ones who live.😂
ECHELON is a name used in global media and in popular culture to describe a signals intelligence collection and analysis network operated on behalf of the five signatory states to the UKUSA agreement - Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States (known as AUSCANZUKUS). The system has been reported in a number of public sources. It was reportedly set up in 1971 as an electronic monitoring system during the Cold War.
This show has a sick way of having characters watch Rick & Michonne sleep. It must be a walking dead kink. First it was Jesus now it’s Jadis. This time, they were semi dressed. Nevertheless , I like the call back themes.
Is anyone else starting to get the feeling they are about to kill off Rick? Things are going way too smooth for him, they got married and he’s happier than ever.
Wow father Gabriel really I'm happy to see him again from a coward to a badass prist but I really was hoping to see Morgan or Silas to be honest. no more Jadis I'm glad she gone what next throne or general beal
By her saying the girl is tall, I think that maybe she is bi and was flirting with her, or Jadis was just being weird like she naturally is (OR MAYBE even trying to create some fake charisma to manipulate these people) Edit: none of the above, look for the replies for the correct reason😂
Honestly, that was my first thought, too! 😂😂 Remember when she asked Michonne if Rick was "hers" and " I lay with him after." Rick's reaction makes me laugh to this day. I think that's something that made her character a teeny bit likable.
Another one of those top level BS episodes... Everyone around dies but Rick and Michonne as usual never hurt... Zombies attack everyone out of nowhere... except for the main characters. How convenient
I also want Michonne to update Rick on everyone back home. I'm thinking the powers that be won't have that happen off camera, I mean we need to that. Well I do anyway.lol 🤍
