I would like to clarify... this isn’t live. It is layered recordings. While good, it is in fact easy to do what he is doing. Pantomiming a soulful performance.
@@Lanesullivan1984 Heh, I play the bass and the organ part on keyboard in a cover band, it's still not quite THAT easy!!! Plus backing vocals. Fun, though, and people love it.
I just saw from the comments that he is Bob Dylan's son. I'm Amazed that I didn't see or know that before now. I can definately see and hear it in his voice. The days of Bob Dylan, early 1960's certainly we're different times. No wonder I Love this song.
Yeah definitely can heart Bob Dylan's sound here. Love this song. Remember sitting at a bar with a new babe and we both fed the player mucho coins to play this song over and over and over....
Wow! This is amazing! When music can be stripped to just a few instruments the brilliance of the song itself shines through. The piano gives the song a totally different feeling, and it works so well. I adore this version.
Wow!! An amazing song to begin with, Dylans lyrics and vocals have always been fantastic!! This was an amazing performance!! Keyboardist power!!!! I'm in awe!!!
Sounds so much like his dad! He is a key to a generation of music that resembles what it should... Unique rhythm, lyrics with depth, and vocals that speak to the soul. Isn't that what music is?
Man, still such an amazing voice. I remember when the Wallflowers' first CD came out. That entire album saw such radio play, and I went through three copies myself because I played it so much. Definitely a lot of great memories there.
just plain excellent ! One of the few songs I know of that encourages me that maybe really good music is not something that is purely history. Love the lyrics, excellent voice, and true musical talent !
Mmmmmhmmmm... Love me some Jakob Dylan. Just saw the Wallflowers close to home. A seriously fantastic show. And yes, lots of mannerisms similar to a '65-66, "plugged-in" Bob. But who cares? He's more than fine without his pedigree. Lucky enough to meet Rami (piano) & Jakob afterward & both were super sweet- signing, taking lots photos, etc. A really magic night. Bonus was seeing Bob the next week! Needless to say, no photos with him!! Lol. =)
I ♥ this version of the sing. It's awesome & so is Rami Jaffee. He is so talented and is so full of life & energy. He would have to be as he was doing double duty working with The Wallflowers & The Foo Fighters
I did not happen across his fathers slow train coming. I would say that alum is insparational yet getting aquainted with the bands music art makes i, bri thank the holiday spirit of your family succes in the 😅❤BIZ. YAY WINNERS
Great piano part, even while playing the organ, plus the dubbed parts. Amazing tune, love playing key bass and organ parts covering it live. Plus backing vocals.

only reason we havnt heard much more from these guys is cause that first album covered it all...they will never be able tro match up with it...it was the perfect album.....lol ive bought like 5 copies just because ive played em all so much..hey hey heyyyyyyyyy
Many of their songs and other 90's bands never got air play due to syndicated radio stations that only play classic rock from a corporate play list, and play the same 50 or songs on what is called a NO REPEAT WORK DAY, and eight hours later play it again.

Lyrics So long ago I don't remember when That's when they said I lost my only friend Well they said she died easy of a broke heart disease As I listened through the cemetery trees I seen the sun comin' up at the funeral at dawn With the long broken arm of human law Now it always seemed such a waste She always had a pretty face I wondered why she hung around this place Hey-ey-ey Come on try a little Nothing is forever Got to be something better than in the middle Me and Cinderella We put it all together We can drive it home With one headlight She said it's cold It feels like independence day And I can't break away from this parade But there's got be an opening Somewhere here in front of me Through this maze of ugliness and greed And I've seen the sign up ahead at the county line bridge Sayin' all is good and nothingness is dead We run until she's out of breath She ran until there's nothing left She hit the end, just her window ledge Hey-ey-ey Come on try a little Nothing is forever Got to be something better than in the middle But me and Cinderella We put it all together We can drive it home With one headlight Well this place is old It feels just like a beat up truck I turn the engine but the engine doesn't turn Well it smells of cheap wine and cigarettes This place is always such a mess Sometimes I think I'd like to watch it burn I'm so alone Feel just like somebody else Man, I ain't changed, but I know I ain't the same But somewhere here in between the city walls of dying dreams I think her death, it must be killing me Hey, hey, hey-ey-ey Come on try a little Nothing is forever There's got to be something better than in the middle Me and Cinderella We put it all together We can drive it home With one headlight

I love this song so much. I like others too, but this is my fave. Wonder if Jakob has heard of Barns Courtney? Now that would be a dream tour right there.
Well my Dad was a big fan of his Dad and I grew up listening to Bob but when this song came out I did not have an expectation he be his Dad anymore than I expected myself to be my Dad he just had an obvious similar interest and talent it was a good song in it's own right and he was nice looking too we got his blue eyes and dark hair on MTV in full colour whereas Bob was just black n white in his day not as dramatic for tv audiences to appreciate. He has a certain poetry about him too but I don't think he is trying to BE his Dad and he knows he's from a different time and place.
