9 years of the Waltons is by far the most wonderful thing to be proud of in your career. You all just celebrated 50 year anniversery. What a achievement. There's no other sweeter cast compared to you guys because your one of a kind people down home to earth with each other. I say that to say Judy I love you and you always hold on to those memories forever from 1972 to 1981

SO NOW HAVE ONLY BEEN HOME A DAY AFTER IT ALL, AND IM TICKLED BECAUSE I HAVE COME HOME TO A WONDERFUL MARATHON OF THE WALTONS. HOW PERFECT. I THINK ITS NEAT HOW THE TIMING WAS. I watched The Waltons when I was growing up. Thanks to you and all who made production of that show a reality, children like myself spent many wonderful hours watching your show with our parents! Many Waltons episodes impacted my values, and sense of right and wrong as an adult. Thank you!

Tom Selleck, Robert Conrad, the Walton's brothers ~ oh my! ☺️I liked Wild, Wild West ~ the two leads were very witty! Your Walton's/CBS team spirit/diligence sure comes through in all the preparation you did! While we all look up to actors, writers, creators, you certainly seem to very much admire athletes! Any human excellence, of course, is admirable. Did I read/hear the old-fashioned radio from the series was placed on exhibit in The Smithsonian? Do you ice skate, roller skate, or roller blade? As ardent a fan of The Walton's, I'm also an ardent fan of figure skating! I'll be watching The Thanksgiving episode where John Boy won his scholarship even after getting a bad head injury! I always watched Battle of the Network Stars (and Circus of the Stars). I recall noticing that Gregory Harrison (Trapper John, MD) and Randi Oakes (CHiPs) were very, VERY attracted to one another though they had just met. It was a world of flirting going on. They married the next year and are still married. I still think it's cute that we saw the beginning of their relationship on TV. I also remember that Robert Conrad was very serious about the competition.

How neat to hear more about some of the behind-the-scenes of BOTNS! I remember just LOVING- and looking forward to those competitions! I was such a Tomboy- and fancied myself a bit of an athlete. I guess I sort of participated vicariously through you...and the other women. 😂 You were sure a tough and talented competitor, Judy!! Way to go!!💪🏆😁

It was always the best times watching the Battle of the Network Stars. You just knew there was NO acting at all involved. Very real and competitive. I always loved watching Robert Conrad, he had a very funny sense of humor. Any 50th reunion pics? 🙂

I still remember battle of the stars on tv in 1978 long time.I loved it. I found it on RU-vid.

Hi Judy, I just finished watching the episode The Loss, where Olivia came back for a rest after losing her husband, Bob and Elizabeth lost Calico the cat. I was wondering when you all are doing these scenes how emotional are they for everyone? I have a tendency to get really involved with the story lines and I feel the emotions and even cry when y'all are crying. I also wondered when any of the kids get into trouble and are being disciplined by Olivia, John or even Grandma and Grandpa do you feel that scared guilt oops I goofed kind of feeling? I love watching the Waltons because they are so believable and heartwarming and I can escape my world for an hour.

My family and I always sat down together on (I think) Thursday nights to watch the waltons. It was a wonderful memory from my youth. Thanks for sharing your experiences on the show.

Life is full of winding pathways. I found that the Waltons series always had a moral somewhere in the episode, and there was an element of prayer in almost every episode. Thank you Judy for reminding me what a positive impact that the Waltons series had on me.

I noticed Judy in an epi airing today on The Waltons marathon when the genius boy student at John Boys college visits in the fall 1975 episode Ralph Waite is not in the epi. Olivia says he is away working in Norfok Va. I know he worked in Roots. Maybe he was away on another project, I know Roots aired in 1976 but I think it was mid to later in the year

Now here's a fresh one: I never realized you did Battle of the Network Stars! Not that I was ever a fan - I think I may have seen it one time during it's entire run. But the advice Conrad gave for tug-of-war was absolutely correct - we used that same technique in our Marine Corps physical training evolutions. As for souvenirs, I once asked one of my friends - later in life - when her series ended was she allowed to keep a prop or two? She said only examples that were created for her specifically like a costume or set piece. The rest of the props were studio property and actually had an inventory number attached somewhere. She and her husband eventually purchased other items from her show when they were eventually auctioned off... Great segment!

We all got to take something from each show, either a lesson, learned, or something to hold in our hearts. I will always reflect.

As they do the marathon of episodes everyday- 🙂 I’m 52 now and been watching since childhood when it was on weekly. One of the BEST series EVER! Period- The theme song alone takes me back to a type of comfort of younger years- Still does. Thank you and all for decades of such greatness! 💝✨

Hello Judy thanks for the memories I loved battle of the network stars never missed when it came on, such fun watching you all compete against each other, I was sorry when they stopped it.

I have heard you speak of your love for horses and horseback riding,I know you and your cast members have ridden and been in scenes with horses in some of the episodes of The Walton's, and as I watch other movies, especially Westerns,I wonder how hard it was to film horses, especially when there is a large group of horses and a lot of action.I have not been around them a lot in my life but horses are such beautiful amazing creatures.

I loved watching those Battles of the Network Stars. Thinking that would never happen today, the 70’s and early 80’s were very special. I always loved how Howard Cosell would comment about the stars. He took a liking to you with that big booming “look at Judy Norton Taylor go!”

The station I watch the Waltons on recently “restarted “ showing the entire series. It was so weird seeing as a young adult one day, and a teenager the next! By far the most dramatic transformation was Kami, though. She really grew into such a beautiful young woman by the last episode. To see her as a young child in the first episode the next day was quite a shock! Keep up the good work!

Interesting you got to work with Robert Conrad! How fun! He was a total athlete for sure. I saw him on Columbo once in a scene where he’d just gotten out of the pool and was drinking a health juice. I had no idea at the time he was so fit! 😮I later learned he worked out, ran, swam - very competitive. He needed to be fit for those scenes in Wild Wild West 😂. Great Ask Judy, Judy.

Happy Monday. I was wondering if you watched the 2 hour Walton thanksgiving that was on the cw last night? I was upset how in the movie they say Ben was adopted. When in the series we know Ben was named after his uncle Ben (John's brother who was killed in the war).

Battle of the Network Stars… as I watched that event as a teenager I rooted for my favorite actors instead of the networks. My favorite at the time was Pernel Roberts from Bonanza and the running show at the time Trapper John. There was event that he was participating in, I don’t remember which one, but it took enough out of him, when he got back to his teammates the camera mic picked up him saying something to the effect of “I’ve had enough, I’m going home to have a drink.” 😆 Out of all those events I watched that is the only thing stuck with me for all these years. Did you ever meet him or did you have a certain actor you admired that you had a chance to meet on the Battle of the Network Stars? If so would you mind sharing what it was like? Thanks Judy, if I had the power to send you something from the Walton’s it would be the baseball mitt. Looking back is there a keepsake that you wish you had been able to take home, beside the ring and memories? Thanks again Judy, hope you have a great week.

I received my copy of your Christmas CD yesterday. You did a fantastic job. I listened to it last night while I was playing games on the computer. This may or may not be a future, "Ask Judy" question, but I was wondering if you ever kept contact with other network stars that had shows running concurrently with yours. I think you said something in an earlier video about having at least a casual acquaintance with some of the LHOTP cast. The reason I ask is because I was wondering if you had ever considered having any of them as guests on your videos, commenting on their experiences working on their shows, and the times when your respective casts ever socialized off set. One cast member I specifically have in mind is Alison Arngrim. She has a channel of her own, and she is a HOOT!!! Thanks again for another wonderful video. :)
