Don't you have that exactly right? They could've slipped into rock music reality at any point in the last forty years and been absolutely standout. I've been at this game of rock and roll listening since the end of Beatlemania and these guys touch a deep emotional chord in me every time. And at this late date? I cannot really or properly convey how much WOD music means to me but I'm very thankful for the experience.
I never had heard a song such beautiful like this one! Play it over and over.... first you like the melody , later you discover the deeper understanding..... and then it will stay in your heart forever!💕
Lost my uncle the end of last year to cancer aswell, this was our favourite song, a band we seen together afew times, memories I’ll never forget, condolences to you.
This is his first album moving past depression and the spectre of anxiety - seems like there’s a path forward. I love how this last song on the album is a beautiful song TO that darkness. It’s an ode to it. Full circle.
👊🔥 I listen to this every day going through it been through it. I get it. Everyone has a different journey but we all feel music so much. I listen to this sometimes and tear up missing loved ones and now get what the songs title may mean: "Occasional Rain"="Occasional Tears"? Just a guess but beautiful song and so comforting like a bear hug.
As the listener we know the song is ‘Occasional Rain’ so we are expecting that throughout the song but The way he delivers each verse and setting up a rhyme pay off but not saying the title until the very last verse is genius. It makes the entire song feel like the hook. Incredible.
I can honestly say from my perspective that the best thing about the pandemic was discovering this band on You Tube...I've seen them twice this year(front row in D.C. and Norfolk) and have turned on at least a dozen friends to this amazing band!! Please see them live if you get a chance..Tightest band this side of E Street. Rock on Adam!!
This. This is one of the most important things in my life. Thank you Adam. I've come back to this on so many times, and I think I will keep coming back to it all my life.
The emphasis on the lyrics 'until you've seen it from the other side' and the prominence of the piano make this better than the album version. This is excellent.
Into the mouth of control Take me down where the river strays Where it flows outside the lines Where it's picked apart and thrown away Now I'm finally feeling free I'm living down by an old par three You know I'll be playing Come around, don't take it hard Don't let 'em stone you when the comedown starts You've been moving much too fast You never know just where it ends What would I find living this life without you? I got swept up in a world so strange One you'd never even recognize Oh, but I slipped away Now I'm a stranger and I don't know why It's killin' me, but your words They brought me out onto steady ground When I was wounded and ashamed And now that my heart is empty Where should I go? You've always been a constant My northern star, where do I go Yeah, without you? Feel the storm coming on Feel the darkness at your gate Live the loneliness of life Keep on moving at your pace Ain't the sky just shades of gray Until you seen it from the other side? Oh, if loving you is the same It's only some occasional rain
A beautiful song. A nice song to close the album on. I love the guitar at the end. Sublime. I thank my musician friend for letting me know of the band as I'd never heard of them before last year.
Lost my little brother this past summer to an overdose. Occasional rain is right. And sometimes it feels constant. This song gives me hope, founded or not. Keep on moving I guess.
This album came out right around the time I lost my grandfather, my first best friend. I miss him all the time but it only hurts every now and then. Like occasional rain.
@@havardrokkan6097 it’s this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LnrVsxqKpBQ.html compare the headstocks, and listen to the last ten seconds of Adam’s playing. You can tell it’s a 12-string
A great song. And playing a Rickenbacker guitar! (expensive, with gorgeous types of wood and delicate sound. Am I wrong?) Regards from Salamanca, SPAIN.
