I wish there were spec titles. I don't mean the M+ titles should go away. I think they should add additional titles. Maybe Meta will always be a thing but if there were other titles people could pursue then more people would just play the specs they like. Maybe people will learn to love new specs on their way to competing for new available titles.

it could potentially end up emphasizing groups that follow a "meta spec, meta spec, meta spec, meta spec, " compositions, a mix of boosting/selling/carrying incentives. Even disregarding mischief, "honest" groups that follow that formula would have an advantage. It's hard to say, though, and it's not a bad idea as a whole, but the community will 100% game it.

i think an interesting idea for dungeon bosses with pulsing damage would be hard capping any pulsing damage to 95% of your health so you can never get one shot by something unavoidable

YES REMOVE DEPLETION we have been asking for this FOR SO LONG. Or at the very least give each key 3 chances before it depletes so your group won't completely disband but you just take the good players into the reroll.

Fortified being present alongside Tyrannical bosses will naturally fix the issue with very high scaling bosses. Trash will eat up more of the dungeons timer and the overall key will be lower which means lower bosses. M+ will always be a race to not die. If the mobs don't kill you and you are hitting the timer, you will just pull more trash until you can barely survive again. The pulls will just get bigger.

Making death increase time is a sideways way of letting you play against the timer instead of survivability, but really you're still playing to survive damage and nothing changes in that regard. W changes overall anyway, if they redesign defensive-creep then that x3 time thing would work really well

The problem with scaling mob / boss health faster than damage done by mobs / boss is that the tank and 4 dps will be even more prevalent. Until they fix - that which we talk about all the time - defensives and off healing / etc it will be a problem with no solution.

I think experimenting with affixes below 12 is a great way to circumvent not experimenting during s4. It doesn’t matter if some of the designs they come up with are not great, because they can freely iterate on them without any incidence on MDI/TGP/high level push. So they effectively turned low level s1 keys into what s4 should have been: a low stake enviromnent to test stuff and see what sticks.

I agree with you because I'm a high end player but experimenting with the 99% of the game that the M+ player base interacts with rather than the 1% is still a bold strategy, if they get it wrong people who play below 12 are much more likely to just stop playing whereas the people doing 12s will most likely play the game regardless

@@AnyBanterGoing oh for sure, testing requires them to be ready to promptly act and fix affixes if they're bad. If they let bad affixes as is for 6 months, it sucks. But they can majorly alter a bad affix mid season without impact any relevant key.

@@AnyBanterGoing This is going to make low keys more enjoyable as well. My friends that don't go past 10s (or 20s in the old system) ever and have no interest in pushing io or high keys at all have all been excited from what I've seen. High end players tend to not understand what's actually popular with casuals. Affixes were not popular with casuals-- it was just something that they were forced to deal with if they wanted to play at all. Ion's argument from that one interview would've been like saying "Torghast engagement was high, people love it!" Like it's mandatory for character progression, of course engagement is high in lower keys...

Remove depletion if you complete the key (regardless of timing or not), but depletion exists if you just exit the key before you finish

I'm guessing Mr. Blizzard views death timers as a form of skill expression. You're doing better in a key if you have fewer deaths, so a better time means you're a better player. It also just helps close the gap between racing the timer and actually just having the damage to kill the bosses - which is something you've talked about before.

"Torghast" should 100% be an ongoing game mode - possibly without that specific aesthetic, but the concept of Torghast was incredible, it was the fact it was mandatory content for so long that pissed people off, if it was optional content for "seasonal" cosmetics or something would be cooked

gg jb, roguelite m+ has been on the wishlist in my friendsgroup for 3 years + now, we were sure once torgast came that we were close to getting it for m+, but alas no luck. But damn roguelite m+ would be soo cool.

that is an important point to see at any rate in any game tho, haste damage amps, and flat damage amps always interract multiplicatively, so 30% more abilities with 30% more damage looks like 1.3*1.3 every time, while if you have 30% more damage from cooldowns flat, and 30% more damage from a stat flat, that could mean 1.3 + 0.3, which is quite a bit less. haste and flat damage amp is only numbers wise directly comparable to two different flat damage amps, if the flat damage amps are multiplied instead of addative.

if you have raid cds, what you do is pop them and personal cds right at the end of the first beam soak, so the first set of soakers have high stacks and their cds up, then the second soakers build their stacks while raid cds are up and up thiers towards the end of the raid cds with high stacks and the first soakers still have stacks for 5 sec after soaking ends, b4 bees, thats how you do it i think so the maximum amount of people have buffs.

I'd like to see a mana regen component for the new affix instead of just haste, gaining too much haste as a healer can make you go oom super fast and mana seems to be an issue for most healers on beta rn

It might also be due to gear scaling vs what's being tested. Later on in seasons and whatnot you won't need to spam heals as much to keep people alive so you don't spend as much mana.

No. The amount of healing required isn't going up, so you can just chill if your mana starts getting sketch. "Uh oh, I have 40% more haste, MUST KEEP SPAMMING HEALING ON FULL HEALTH TARGETS AGGGGHHHHHH!!! Now I'm oom, fucking Blizz." I'll grant you that you can spend more mana on dps during that time, but that's just a good thing. You sped up the run for the cost of mana. That's always worth. Plus, you actually LEAVE COMBAT in m+. You're confusing haste being bad for raid healing, where you're deciding BETWEEN one stat or another. As a raid healer, another stat is often BETTER (depending on spec). In that environment, you want stats that make you heal for MORE instead of FASTER because it's one continuous combat and you're spamming throughout making haste bad for HPM. But if they are giving free stats, it's allllll good, and increasing haste does not have to come with increased mana regen. It's part of playing a healer to manage it. And lastly, arcane mages.

Some great changes, now they just need to remove keys and make mythic+ an unlock system. "Oh you've completed [or timed] this key on a +10? Now you've unlocked the ability to do it on an 11. No need to RNG your way into a key you want to do. No more having 80% of your group with a brackenhide key that none of you want to do."

Yeah even give us 3 sets of keys like a triangle, square and circle which allow you do 1-3 different keys + stop depletion and hey presto 80% of M+ is solved.

cooldown is weaker for dot classes unless dot ticks also speed up proportionally for single target thats for sure, and thats just because decrease cooldown doesnt get you anything if you have full uptime anyway, but it still might be stronger just by virtue of being hasty. hard to tell with dot classes without all the info for the math.

yeah like when u died from double beam, it might be possible to use bees on it, use personal heal and pot if you have it and call for heals, u might live, its a double debuff and dot, but still if the bees actually clear the stacks it probably wont be unhealable if it clears.

from +12, where the end game challange begins, there should be a different loot pool with more powerful/cool gear but on the same itm lvl and upgrade path (no higher itm lvl for dropps over +12), i feel like farming the same piece just to upgrade it more is ending in the situation like azerite gear in bfa. it gets bofing getting the same piece that has a better upgrade path.

for cunning i only think cd is better for multidotting, if it makes dots deal more total damage then maybe its still better tho, not sure havent thought about it that much, but it is for sure better for cunning if multidot is more effective, at least in those situations, probably possible late game to have full uptime on 3 dots with cooldown stacked, i dont know for sure, but i think omni is almost always addative with other damage amps. all of this kind of hands on what is addative and multiplicative when buffs are stacked, if its all mutliplicative then omni might be more competative, but i dont know for sure whether it is this or that.

the reason i like a bigger jump (not 50%, but may 15%) is that it stops the degenerate rng fishing of pushing your score. if you timed a 15 or whatever, you know a 16 is possible, and it drives you to smash your head in to the queue finder because you know its possible, even if you need some RNG. every step feels achievable so you have an incentive to try even beyond the point of having fun. when the jump is larger if you time a 15 by 30 seconds, you know that actually a 16 isnt possible until you get gear or whatever. so you focus more on just playing whats fun, improving your routes on a 15 (because you still want to time it while practicing). and then after you gear up and improve a lot then you feel like its worth it to try the next level.

ofc there are downsides to haste damage amps as well, in most games cooldowns dont get lower proportional to haste, so in wow for example just stacking haste to 50% doesnt give you the same value as just gaining 50% flat damage necessarily, because the proportion of your skills used during cds is lower for example.

Heres my cook. Hard cap all M+ to 15's it cannot physically go higher, keep your 10-15 experience as unchanging each week and make each key level jump a big jump like you guys said. Make each key increase feel like overcoming the next raid boss. Then it could be a race to world first for 15's rewards stop at 10's but the RWF Dungeons (RWFD) could be a fun leaderboard at first for whoever can complete it top world 200 etc then the new style of race begins and then you'd start seeing who can complete said 15's the fastest towards the end of the season.

if all the skills in tetris land are % of attack for their damage, that means 3% attack means 3% more damage for the skills yes, independently of what % of attack each skill has that is just maths. however, this only holds true if every flat damage amp on top of that is multiplicative, haste amps, basically more skills per sec ofc always acts multiplicatively after accounting for how it works, whether you actually get the full benefit and so on, for example if increasing haste or "cd" the fraudulent name, means that you run out of energy, then 20% hast might not give you 20% damage, but if hast still gives you 16% more damage from more buttons per sec, than that 16% increase will always scale multiplicatively with other damage amps that are flat damage increases, omni or attack might not do that, it migth be the case that for example in the code, when you get an attack buff or omni buff, they just add a number to your attack value equal to 20% of you base attack, but each one does it based on the unbuffed version of your base attack, in that case the scaling is addative not multiplicative and that means the value is somewhat less.

The point about wanting to push higher but there being no reason for me to waste time dealing with BS cannot be overstated. My top key is presently a +13. I think the team I play with could go higher, but we don't like dealing with BS affixes so we just decide not to waste the time frustrating ourselves and litterally go play other games.

It's literally the best seasonal thas has been out there for me. Its an affix that gave people choice of benefit and it was such a quality of life for instance the speed bonus in De other side or simply just refreshing so many cooldowns with the other relic. I wouldn't be mad if they made something similar again it just felt good for all kinds of m+ players.

so on the raid testing, the second to last boss, they should run the testing twice and do some feebackineering, they could reduce the amount of orbs to 6 on mythic and 4 on heroic and just make the time less punishing on heroic, but also make sure missing orbs is a big nono even on heroic. they could also clean up the timing so there is more time, and you only get a lot of orbs once in the fight, that makes more sense, at it is less of a statistical wipe mechanic, u know what i mean, an easy mechanic that happens to many times that one miss being a full wipe is a nightmare on progression. that should be avoided, and rather be turned into a mechanic that happens on a smaller scale throughout the fight, but happens to everyone once for example or twice in the last phase, if the timing of other mechanics makes that livable. a good contrast is the cc orbs on raz, that mechanic is so fast and straight forward that it is perfectly okey that it happens over and over and is scaled to hit everyone with a personal orb, but if a mechanic like that becomes much more complicated, like if you did it with polarities as well such that only reds could pop red orbs and blues spawned red orbs and so on and people has to avoid each other, it just becomes a greif machine. thats no good. agree with you, even if i never really did world first prog :P. it is just too much clutter, a mechanic that hard should either not exist in that state or be a crux of a fight when it comes to mechanical difficulty, so it feels like a challenge to get it done and not some crazy maintanence tast that is totally unreasonably easy to fail over a whole fight.

I'm not truly hyped with this series of changes for M+ but will still learn the new dungeons/affixes to better myself as a player for the new season. It might make it harder to pug in general once I make that climb to 10's for this new season in WW. I have a very nagging feeling in the back of my mind that there is going to be that 1 dungeon w/either a select set of trash or boss where groups just get annihilated because Blizzard would not make any changes till the mid of the season or later.

maybe just make a small number of bosses across the pool more tyran like bosses and then blizzard can focus on tuning those since theres less of them, and then there might actually be fun hard bosses in mythic plus since they are soley designed for that purpose

How about this new Tyrannical: to account for longer boss kill times becoming boring, now when they're "empowered" by Xalatath, they get a new Xal-themed phase in keeping with some aspect of themselves or their other phases' mechanics. Invest design time. Make them longer, but keep them interesting. Meaningful difference between Tyran and Fort.

Iridikron is my favorite boss fight in dungeon, because it felt like a mini raid boss. From the first time I did that fight, to the last time iv'e done it. I like it, and I don't like many dungeon boss fights, outside of Waycrest Manor.

cd in tetrisland is basically haste with cooldown reductions, which is a flat out % damage if you press your skills, and its multiplicative, so ignoring raid buff windows and pot cds, and how it lines up with fights, you just look at what omni gives u flat and compare, its not that complicated, whatever buttons omin buffs, take the % of that damage they do and multiply it by the omni buff, or add the flat damage if omni is addative in its synergy with cds and buffs, and that is the answer, it is not really that complicated because cooldown is a straight up everything moves faster stat. however it is still a bit shit, because of how fights line up ofc, for example, in frost mage, you get to cd reduce icy flows, but pot is on a 5 min cd, some trinkets are on a 2 min cd and racial is on a 2 min cd, so depending on how long the fight it, and when you are cleaving, and how important your cleave damage is, it doesnt even make any sense to use icy flows on cd sometimes, which is a bit cracked, but also if you are poping double timewarp on the first cds then its a 5 min for that and int pot, so on some fights it makes more sense to just not worry about the trinket and racial and just pop icy flows on cd until u have to hold it for the second personal timewarp, say in a 6 minute fight, then u want icy flows 4 times in 5 minutes if u can and line everything up again at the end. and stuff like that has an effect on how you would role play as a cooldown reduction enjoyer, but in tetris land u have to only think about external buff windows, because all your skill cds line up the same way independently of your cooldown reduction, which is nice it makes it simpler to theorycraft. cant really minmax unless you have a proper sim tho honestly. but i am kinda super confident that omni is almost certainly shit compared to cooldown just because i think omni damage amp is addative with a lot of big damage amps from raid and from cds and stuff like execute, and is a worse stat on flat skill by skill damage even when not considering any of that. just look at your omni effect and look at the damage it affects, the total amp on that damage, it is a much lower % of damage than cooldown, even if you assume everything is multiplicative, im pretty sure that is correct, that is just based on very simple maths, you can do it in your head yourself for the simple case of nothing more than %s of damage, just calculate how much of your damage is affected by omni and the amp it gives, multiply them so if omni affects 70% of your damage and it gives 10% increase for those skills for example, then take ((1.1*0.7)-0.7)+1 and that is the increase in damage multiplier due to omni, then just take the number for cooldownhaste for example 1.1x and compare, it is really that simple unless you want to model simming a fight. roughly speaking cooldown should always be better. but then you also need to consider resources and builder vs spender stuff, so if you want a precise evaluation i think simming is more or less what you have to do anyway, but im still quite confident that cd is always significantly better, if omni is addative with execute it is not even close.

not sure if you killed it yet, watching the stream u did progging it, looks fun, and someone came up with a similar cook for the purple debuff right after i came here to drop the double debuff tech. the purple debuff is in the intermission, so the bee in the boss will not work, however, it might be worth dropping a couple bees on line such that there always is a bee drop on it, either as close as possible to boss or far away for ranged, just so it is always possible to deal with it personally, this can be done anyway and wont obstruct much as long as there is always only one up on each line when it is possible to pre place, as long as the position is good and doesnt disrupt what you were already doing. im sure u get what i mean, but lets say you are in a purple debuff and line part of the fight, the team responsible for a line needs to make sure that there is at least one bee on the line at all times, and if you do that it might be piss to deal with both debuffs and double debuffs. maybe idk, just a fun cook, was fun watching you prog, the bosses look good in disney land.

in terisland, if u need to auction house trade, put it up for the entire amount of gold u have, and then trade some shit item back for the same or a little less gold, so if someone snipes it, lol, at least u get a lot of gold for other upgrades.

There's not many people that like the pressure in high keys and are happy getting KSM. The largest amount of players barely can hit it. So adding another impossible milestone for example something above KSH or something even higher will make a smaller amount of players happy and a large amount of players mad AF. Blizzard tried doing this for years and at it failed pretty bad. I do understand that high skill players demand rewards, but naked runs in Souls games are a thing too and naked players don't get rewarded for it because that would be bad design.

lets just say tho, that cooldown is just stat value by stat value just making you do things x% faster, and omin is making u do x% more damage, that means that flat out cooldown is better. why? well because cooldowns exist, when ur trinket/cds is up, you do more abilities during it than you would using omni. and the damage amp is not multiplicative with the damage amp with your cooldowns, nor is it multiplicative with power infusion and raid cds. just no, cooldowns is better flat out i think, its just the same value for spamming the same button over and over with no cds.

Why arent we talking about a middleground between depletion and no depletion? Cant we just give keystones like 3 or even 5 charges/chances until we figuered something out? imo a minor change that could go a long way, especially for ppl pushing with pugs

I dont think doing high keys is a 1% thing cause its hard. Personally I dont do more than I have to cause there are no rewards. They should do something similar to the PVP elite sets in M+ where 3k rating gets you a new variant mog OR the elite mog tint as well. If they did I bet that 1% will jump up a bit. I could easily hit 3k i just dont care to, but if there was a reason to... fuck yea i would push bigger keys

I think it was a huge mistake to remove Seasonal Affixes in shadowlands we had really good ones. They just should kept their route with the kiss/curse system I really loved it. Since they removed it, m+ felt kinda stale. Then addin old dungeons was the second mistake recycling old content with the bad scalling some dungeons were way to hard while others were a complete breeze. They just didn't get the balance right. And another hot take is we had pretty much the best dungeons in shadowlands < When I look at this remade M+ it... does not really excite me to go back and grind the s*it outta m+ again. Just my 2 cents

Most casuals like yourself do but at the higher levels it was incredibly difficult with how many swirlies/frontals there are in the chaos of big pulls/bosses and before the change where the tank always gets the same mark, it was insane.

Is nobody else worried that +12 is going to have the scaling from the key increase fort for mob damage and the 20% health and damage increase from the new affix? That seems like way way to many % increases that’s going to make mobs crush on 12’s and up like a lot

There’s going to be a noticeable jump from 11 to 12 in difficulty, but it all comes down to tuning. You can have as many % increases as you want if the starting point is low enough, and that’s what the beta cycle is for: figuring out what those starting points should be, and if any % numbers need adjusting.

Thats not how scaling works. All of those modifiers are flat percents. The scaling is exactly the same as every other season. Max and j.b spent a bunch of time yapping about something that isnt actually happening because the math is a little confusing.

If they want each week to feel different they should add a role affix rotation. Each week one role will be empowered (dps, tank, healer). Something simple like giving dps cool down reduction when mobs die, or giving tanks increased damage/dmg reduction for each mob next to them. Healers getting something similar to searing light on remix. This would also indirectly solve the issue of low healer and tanks in queue. Their weeks will encourage players to play those roles, while also maybe getting new players to experience that role.

Yeah I'll kind of miss bursting a little as a healer. It was fun to try and heal through it but I wont miss trying to figure out when to mass dispel or watch as everyone dies

I did somewhat enjoy bursting as a healer. Pulling big and needing to pop some cooldowns to keep people up and having nothing for when the pack dies, and you are just watching impotently as you dispell youself and the rest of the group dies is not a situation i will miss (even though it didnt occur often)

@zeitz4473 once they made it to where alot of spells could remove stacks, it got alot easier but imo it also got more fun trying to whack a mole the stacks down and still dps. I mostly ran druid and monk heals so idk I my spec choice made it easier or more fun.

and doing steroid does not have crazy side effects, doing steroids every day has crazy side effects, what u would ideally do is have like 1 week ever 3 months where u use the steroids for recovery during really hard strenght building push weeks, where you work out much more than normal and focus on strenght, as an athlete. one problem with that however, that has nothing to do with the effect of the roids themselves is discipline about how hard you allow yourself to push to avoid injury, you dont want to go too heavy or to scrazy i dont think. but over all it is probably better per the shape u get in for your body to excercise less and have some pushweeks that are medicated, just to maintain your muscle base, and to give some room for better recovery and hearth healthinessity for the main portion of your training, you can then do more but milder cario, and a bit less straining strenght training the other parts of the year with more or less the same results, such that injuries are less likely and so on, so it is probably true tha using roids could over all be better for you in every way, but that is a complicated thing to work out and is probably highly depending on age and the person in question as well, ideally you would want to use it only for the base building hard training, and in so small cumulative amounts that the negative health effects are pretty much negated. if you ask a doctor about it, and about things like wear on bones in joins and so on for older atlethes im quite positive they would agree with me, it is mostly because the hardest high load training is the stuff that produces the most wear and tear on your hearth, your joints and tendants, on your bloodvesses, everything basically, so increasing the recovery for those activities simply means getting the same result, with less of that, that to my mind is the only kind of positive health benefit of using steroids, and i think it is probably really good if it is done correctly, but the gain would be small, and you cant use it in that way if you want it to make u a body builder or make your over all training potential go way up, that is the most harmful effect over all appart from the effects on your endocrenal and cardiocascular system, it is that when you are roided up all the time you simultaniously heal a lot more, but also if you train hard all the time, it puts all the strain on your hearth, joints, ect, all the time, and things dont heal at the same rate or heal at all like joint wear, so im ofc not suggesting it is healthy to use it like a bodybuilder would, or a cyclist that uses it every other week, that is not a good idea at all. but honestly as a kind of spaced out hormone therapy for older people above say 30-40 for periods of heavy training that are spaced out sufficiently, i think it is probably just theraputic. long rant, but it goes hard, what im talking about is kind of like hormon replacement therapy, only specialized to a staggered training program, i bet you my honor as a yapper that if you ask a doctor about it they would probably agree if they know about the limited nature of steroid/hormon therapy in relatively high doses when it is short term and rare, it has almost no serious effects on an otherwise healthy person. only when you do it not so often though ofc.

so in lotro going off the labled cast times and so on, doesnt entierly work, and in this here game you are streaming, similar things might exist, so what people should do is develop a basic model of how the stats work on each char in general, this will be somewhat wrong, and then go from there with spec synergy and talents that build off the stats, at some point simming will be possible in rough form, but gamedesign is silly, tiny bugs or differences in design can totally poopoo what it says in the stat menu, ive seen it before.

a fun example is lotro dpsing, my man, lotro attack speed/cast speed stats are lies lies lies, because animations effect the gcd, so the best way to dps on say a champion which is the best melee dps class in any mmo hands down not gonna argue about it your wrong, is to double macro an interrupt skill that is an animation cutter, so you use a high dps long animation skill and another long ish animation skill, and you use a macro to cut its animation in your rotation and you end up with like 25% more dps than people who are just mashing buttons without using animation cutting, its nuts, but also feels great, it feels like having actual skill to manage that macro, it is the greatest accidental melee dps design, if you are good you just own hard, and its also the aoe top dog and close on single target to hunter which is the best single target aoe. also aug is just dogshit compared to support classes in lotro, having a good lm, red mini, burglar and cappy in your group more than doubles you damage potential, and it feels nice, nobody hates support classes because they are much much richer than in wow.

You're 100% right about there needs to be more rewards after portals. There's a large group of players who play in the 2500-3800 range who aren't rewarded with anything. I personally get to about 3300 before I call it quits because it becomes too much of an time sink finding pug groups and I am not interested in finding a real team. But realistically what's the point of pushing past 2500 if you know you're not going to reach the 0.1% titles? In my opinion portals should be like the half way point in terms of rewards. Pvp has challenger, rival, duelist, gladiator and R1, they get the weapon illusions and amazing mounts, Tavares, etc. The mythic+ mount doesn't even fly... considering Dragonflight is all about flying dragons it's kinda fucked up.

oh and a simple point, that has to do with the green nut terrorist boss, u need to use that center bee or place another visible but very close to boss to clear if u get double debuffs to save resses in the future, i do not know if it works this way, but if there is a double debuff mishap you might be able to clear the debuff without leaving line, by utilizing the close to boss on line bee swarm. and that ofc is only if it works like that, it might still kill u when you clear the double debuff, not sure ofc, havent played it, but your bees in boss cook migth be a saving grace for double debuffs if you can clear the double with bees without leaving the line, might be a very good thing to utilize to delete mistakes.

the maths is never easy lol, you need to know how the game actually calculates damage for each and every hit, and when those will hit and so on, probability distributions, whether it is true random or not, and so on, if you dont have that you cant sim properly, and when you have that simming sequences of button pushes that are realistic in fight environments of different kinds actually applicable to the game is the only way to go, this is ofc why simming is what it is in wow, its just the way to go, but if you dont know exactly how every single buttons damage is calculated on every target and how every buff and upgrade effects it, then its lala land number go up good methodology, which is nonsense.

they should just make weather effects have affixes instead of all this weird nonsense. sometimes you gotta play in the rain, extreme heat, sleet, storms. etc they could put a kiss/curse to them or the mobs. weather effects are cool and should be used in all open world zones anyways.

I don't understand why blizzard thinks there needs to be a 20% hp and dmg increase at +12? Basically there is no 12 or 13 key. After eleven is 14... numerically. I assume blizzard is doing this weird thing where in their head, they have to make the key harder because the affixes are being removed... as if affixes that have small downsides and small upsides somehow equate to 2 key levels of difficulty. They're weird like that. I feel like the jump from 11 to 12 (effectively 11 straight to 14) is going to disincentivize people who want to get into pushing to even try because there's this weird jump where the mobs gain 30% hp and damage from one key to the next.

Also the way you avoid the 7min bosses you keep bringing up is 1. make sure every boss scales linearly with hp, meaning the can't like summon an add on a timer or gain an hp shield on a timer etc. That causes greater than linear effective hp scaling. You can fix these things in a variety of ways with out just saying "bosses aren't allowed to have adds or shields", such as the mobs sharing hp with the boss, or the shield just happens 2-3 times in the fight at hp breakpoints, or when you break the shield the shield collapses and hits the boss for the hp total of the shield, and so on. 2. you will obviously get to the point where the bosses last way too long if you keep scaling so the solution is to have players run into the timer BEFORE the bosses last 7 min. I think bosses across the board should have about 10% less hp (also their hp should be fairly equal from boss to boss, there's huge variance right now which is weird) and the trash mobs probably need 20-25% more hp... basically fortified is the correct boss/trash ratio. They aren't going to do either of these things. They don't spend a single second thinking about this stuff.

Having everything from 12 upwards be consistent lets them tune it. It's not likely to stay with current numbers. Also a 12 is not a terribly high key for any push group. Anyone who is pushing and can clear a 12 but not a 14 probably needs to practice more in lower keys.
