I was there for 3 days my car was a green nissan 200sx .I was paid 75 a day for myself and 100 a day for my car..it was a lot of fun. I drove 2 of the days and a stunt driver drove my car 1 day.. the stunt guy ended up backing my car into the rear wall in the garage. And cracked the rear brake light on the rear spoiler. The production crew ended up cutting me a small check to cover the dameges.......thanks for posting the videos
I loved this story. My car was chosen for this scene as well as the first night race and later at Tash's hide out in Hollywood. Being a young 19 year old at the time, this was such a cool experience. I however didn't get to drive my car as it was the red civic del sol targa top in the bottom right side of the scramble scene, and they decided to have a blonde female stunt driver in for that one. At the time my club and I were so excited they invited the local scene into the movie which we felt added so much real car culture.
Finally an answer to a question I never asked but definitely cared for. Everyone can easily replicate this scene with their Hot Wheels and I remember doing that a lot as a kid
Hey Craig, listen man, I just kinda wanted to say thank you for putting in all that work and doing these videos for us. It's always so cool to get a peek behind the scenes on these cars and I'm always excited to see a new video has been posted. You're awesome for doing these, seriously.
I remember watching this scene when I was 9 or 10 and it was the wildest thing my child mind had seen. This whole movie is what introduced me to cool cars and the scramble having so many was insane.
Thank you for your contributions to the first two movies and thank you for your no BS style of depicting everything you and your content is more than appreciated and i look forward to every video
mr lieberman seriously thank you for all these videos ive watched them all multiple times because the amount of care and how much knowledge that did go into them(before they riced them out ). it also shows how much a car make a person or character better and shows it just a car it a piece of them we truly appreciate the years of work that youve done and help the tuner scene also thank you for being a inspiration to some of us who really gives a fuck about these cars and the tuner scene
One of my favorite scenes in the movie franchise, reminds me of how everyone in a car meet anywhere in the world would scramble when the our best friends the local police officers would show up :p
Man, all these videos are amazing! It's like hidden in plain sight gems that basically shaped a large part of my childhood! The F&F franchise, need for speed games, man.... Thanks so much Craig!
I loved the scramble scene. It was captivating seeing all those cars scatter all over the place as they draw out the cops. Plus I'm a sucker for crazy car scenes, which is probably why I'm one of the few F&F fans that likes the newer movies just as much as the first three, but that's an entirely different discussion. It was actually pretty interesting knowing the BTS regarding it as well, almost reminding me of Race Wars from the first movie.
You're a legend for doing this mate! Since I've stumbled across your channel a few weeks back, I've since gone back and rewatched the movies. Something I hadn't done for about a decade!
When I lived in Florida I used to have to travel to Wynwood for work a couple of times a month, it was several months before I figured out this warehouse was literally around the corner from the business I went to every time.
You're doing a great job I think is more gratifying when you do everything yourself and still get great results, others need a whole team to do this kind of thing. I've seen others doing their videos about these cars and is just not the same.... even if they had the best quality out there they would still be missing one thing.... you were there basically since day one in the franchise and since you took a major role by bringing some of the cars that I love till this day it makes the experience of watching this videos even better. I cant imagine how amazing your journey has been 💪💪💪💪💪
Dont feel to much pressure Greig, your videos are informative and well put together. Love the content, dont sacrifice production quality or oversight key info. to pump more vids...
Keep it coming Craig. I love the stories and the wealth of info. I've been binging your channel for a week and got all caught up. I'm going to get your book in a few minutes. My 15 year old recently discovered Tokyo Drift and we binged the entire series over two weeks. Now he's got me looking for his first car. Thanks again and looking forward to future videos.
i love your craig videos i think they are really phenomenal mainly because 2F2F is my favorite movie. this miami vibe is amazing, you could make a video about the gray GTR Skyline from the prelude to the scene that appears before the 2F2F movie starts I think it's beautiful mainly because it is without spoiler and stickers.
Even in my mid 40s I'm still obsessed with fast and furious movies. I'm currently building a hood cage on my 98 dodge ram 1500 inspired by the trucks in the car scramble scene. I just don't see that kinda thing around me and there's lots of nice trucks. Just trying to stand out and show what a enthusiast can do on his own. ✌
Before the video even starts, the only cars I remember from that scene was seeing 2 pt cruisers and even being like 10 I laughed so hard. My grandma drove one, purple gt with flames 😩🤦♀️
Thanks for the video Craig. Also I think it would be cool if you did a subscriber car review video series. Some youtubers do the same and is quite entertaining. Basically people submit photos + detailed descriptions of mods; and you give your honest opinion about them!
ELA DC5 I don’t think I’ll be going that route. I don’t feel that would be popular with viewers, given that every time I say something critical about a movie car, owners of that type of car FLOOD my comments with hateful responses.
@@craiglieberman I see where you coming from; still I believe it would make for a great series. Plus I'd like to know what an OG JDM enthusiast thinks about the modern scene 👍
Hey Craig! first off, love the videos and how in depth they can be! always love watching your content and waiting for the next one to come out. I was wondering if there is anything you do need help with, as I forget that you work on these videos by yourself. If there is anyway to get into contact with you that would be great! But if you are happy doing this yourself that is awesome! I am not not fussed with that. But keep up the good work and can't wait till the next! :)
Hi! Could you present us your studio? I m amazed by those posters on your wall and i m curious what is among them( lots of car toys). Thank you i m impatient!
