@@70centurian No im not “kinding”. She was just crowned 2023 Drumeo rock drummer of the year. Cover bands don’t win those awards, but you already knew that, troll.
Pau's voice captures vulnerability, it perfectly compliments the aggressive tone of Dany's...if Dany's voice can make you jump out of your seat, Pau's can make you sit and weep
This song captures that feeling perfectly of falling for someone from afar. We have ALL felt that and can relate. This song deserves way more attention.
It's really a matter of being able to do at least one of those things without actively having to think about it. Plus: as Ray already said: the drum part is really, really, really easy
As an old GenX-er I was fortunate enough to have a lot of bands around for whom all of this was standard (Soda Stereo, Rush, Pink Floyd, Queen, Journey…), but I get the surprise many younger people have: it has not been seen for a good 30 years.
@@bernardoaguilargt3763like none of the names you listed had a drummer that sang for shit. I’m gen X and grew up on those bands. The warning is the most real band live since maybe Alice n Chains or Linkin Park. Pay is amazing theatrics, voice, and she’s a damn good drummer too.
Drumming, singing, running the graphics on the giant screen the audio through her computer right next to her muti-tasking all this during each performance 😮I have no words
There are times when these sisters leave you in awe. At those moments, all you can utter is “damn”. This is not a song I listen to, but the skill on display still leaves you in awe.
If you watch Pau in most live videos, she has a iMac next to her and she controls the lighting, background videos, and any background music that might be playing. She also programmed the computer for these displays and background audio. She's an amazing human being to be able to do all that and keep it all straight. Obviously she has a very high IQ to do all that.
Tour de force from Pau on this track. Great support from her sisters, but Pau just shines. There’s something about her voice that just cuts right through to your soul - so much passion & emotion. As well, she is just so fun to watch as a drummer. It’s hard to describe, but her movements, her facial expressions & her attitude are so entertaining. We all can fan-girl/boy over her. Thanks for this.
The Error Album is the most complete I've heard in years. Every single song is great. You just don't see bands play 10 out of 12 songs from their latest album live in concert. Nor do you see such a young band put on 2 hour shows and still have to leave out some of their best songs.
The more you experience TW, the more you see their immense talent. Here Paulina is center stage showing how special she is. Pau don't play, she's singing, staying on key while punishing her kit. Not too many drummers can do that. She sings while running, a real pro. I really liked your reaction, cheers.
Paulina is absolutely captivating. If her talent as a drummer wasn't enough to sink it's hooks in you, this song takes it over the edge! This band WILL go down as one of the great rock and music stories ever, joining a long list of others
Paulina sings almost all songs with a bit of deeper feelings in it and Dany sings almost all the songs where there is a bit of angst in it...at least as of now.
Pau composes the songs around her drumming for sure, but you can see in this song that she is capable of playing while singing, even when she does fills. Obviously she works at it. She practices singing while running on a treadmill so that her voice doesn't shake because of her physical exertions. I don't think I have ever seen a Rock drummer who can do what she does, how she does it. Yes, there are several singing drummers around, but it is certainly rare enough that it stands out.
I saw The Warning for the second time in Virginia a few days before this concert. All three sisters are great. But midway thru the show when Paulina become more of the vocal focus you cannot take your eyes off of her. She ABSOLUTELY steals the show, even though Dany is also great! She is incredible live!!! Go The Warning!
I had been going to gigs since 1992 and was going more and more frequently so in 2019 I decided to take a year off due to burn out. 2020 covid hit, so my one year break turned into two. 2021 I was diagnosed with cancer, so spent 2021 and 2022 fighting that, but was given the all clear at the end of 2022. 2023 I wanted to get back into gigging slowly as my body is still quite weak. The Warning announced a tour supporting The Muse. Now not being a Muse fan and the ticket prices being high, I decided to give it a miss and then suddenly they announced a single headline show in the UK, and it was in my home town of London. So of course I went to see them, and they were fucking awesome. Now as a 52 year old man I thought I was gonna stand out like a sore thumb as I thought their audience would be a lot younger, but I was so wrong. The audience was probably split 50/50 between you youngsters and us old farts. They really do have a wide appeal. A couple of weeks ago they announced their first full blown European headlining tour next year, so of course I have booked a ticket. It would be rude not to. From a band I did not think I would get a chance to see considering where they are from, to going to see them twice within the space of a year is absolutely mad.
I went to both gigs in London im into metal ,black metal ,grunge ,alternative rock etc and ive already got 2 tickets for next year their amazing what a band eh, id say strong statement i know but i think their the best female band off all time .
I've seen them three times in Canada. What are the odds of that? I'll be watching on YT the concert you'll be seeing live. Jealous, but happy for all the Europeans who will be Warned.
@@rexwave4624 Yeah, prior to their support slot on the Muse European tour they had pretty much only toured North America (obviously a lot cheaper than international travel). When they did that they announced a last minute headline gig in London (apart from the Patreon exclusive gig). The venue that was booked I said "That is way too small for them, they could easily sell out a bigger venue as they have a decent following here". A couple of weeks into ticket sales they changed to a bigger venue 😂
How awesome is the fact that this group has two amazing singers? Don't be surprised in the near future when we find out that they really have three awesome vocalists. Dany's guitar on this track is perfect. They are becoming the best band on the planet and I can't wait to hear their new music. ⚡⚡⚡
one may like their music or not but you can't deny there is something special about this band that is highly addictive. this is easily one of the best rock bands out there in generations.
Pau can evoke a tenderness, an innocence that just latches on to your heart! If you watch her singing Breathe at the Pepsi Center you'll need half a box of kleenex,,I , like you, dislike making "favorites", yet, song to song one always seems to "star", to shine,, as a group they are so powerful,,
This is one of the best songs they’ve done to show just how good Paulina is! Also lyrically it’s a masterpiece, it really tugs at the heart strings. I also think she really stands out, but also she’s humble enough not to take advantage of it. I enjoyed your reaction, I just wish I could have been there at the live stream, unfortunately life gets in the way sometimes! More please 🌹 Edit: the other thing to think about with this performance is that it’s at a height above sea level where the air is thinner (approximately 25% less oxygen than at sea level!
I watched the full concert when it premiered on RU-vid last summer, and I loved every second of it. I adore all 3 of them... but there does seem to be something special about Paulina. Something I can't define in her voice.. and her flashy drumming.. and her tireless energy. I've heard it said that she sings while jogging to build her endurance.
When you write, play, and sing the same song, you are best able to communicate EXACTLY what you felt when inspired to create it. But Pau can do that with songs she feels, whether they are hers or not. Her solo-at-piano version of Radiohead's *Creep* is capable of laying waste to a box of tissues. She is a true emotive empath with that sixth sense of how to apply vocal expression and inflection to communicate feelings. This was an A+ performance on a special night full of A+ performances. What a lucky audience! And thanks to some hard working audio engineers, we get a sense of it, too.
She sang this song live in my first live The Warning concert, first of three special concerts celebrating their X year anniversary and it was phenomenal even though Pau was very much under the weather. I'm still reeling from that concert from two months ago. 😁 Great reaction as always and I just love your The Warning DPA Goddesses reactions. Keep them coming!
Great reaction Ray, to an awesome song. Pau, is superhuman. To be able to be so theatrical while playing the drums and singing AND controlling the click tracks, is insane.
I think some people's brains work differently. Any musician, especially drummers, must have something special in the way their brain works allowing them to play that instrument and also sing. I don't think my brain would work that way.
I would love to sit in the room with them when they write their lyrics. To be so young and to hear what they are writing about is so amazing. Review one of their new songs called "Hell You Call a Dream". Dany is the lead for that one.
I'm with ya. Yes, they're all stupendously talented. The effort they've put in to get where they are leaves me speechless. They all give me goosebumps, individually and collectively. But yes, there's something really special about Pau.
Pau, (Paulina Villarreal), is nominated for Rock Drummer of the Year’” Please spread the word and vote”. At Drumeo Awards 2023 voting ends 25th 11:59 pm.😎👍
I can't choose a favorite when it comes to Pau's or Dany's vocals, they both bring so much to the table. Danny sounding like an angel singing high harmony starting at 3:27 then dropping down to low harmony at 3:48 is just brilliant and compliments Pau's harmonically rich voice so well, and Ale can blend her voice seamlessly with the other two. TW absolutely kill it vocally.
Sings like an angel and plays like the devil. Pau is a force of nature. All three of them are just great role models. More power and blessings to them. 🤘🏼⚡️✌🏼⚡️❤️
Indeed these young ladies are amazing. i have been a fan since before 2020 and have so enjoyed watching them grow into such a powerhouse of a band. I mean how many people in this world can play the drums and sing so beautifully, like Pau? Yes Dany is also an amazing singer. In fact i can't choose who is the best, of the two.
I feel that the difference in their vocals is that Dany has the ability to melt your face off like a true rock star while Pau walks up to you and with a crack of her voice, punches into your chest, rips your heart out, kisses it to make it better, and puts it back in. There's a video for "The Warning UK Private Show", about 35mins long, and they open with Pau singing Black Holes, solo on keyboard. The camera angle has Dany in the background and at one point the camera operator adjusts focus onto Dany and the look of awe and admiration on her face as she watches Pau sing is so heartwarming, the love in her eyes watching her little sister be amazing just turns me to jello. Even Dany is taken by Pau's voice. Another great Pau lead song from this same concert is Revenant. You will love it!
When Pau sings, I cry. Every single time. She’s in my soul. What an exceptional talent, to multitask at the highest levels of technical proficiency, while simultaneously bursting with passion and emotion. Amazing.
I saw them at a muse concert last year and I didn’t even know they were playing or even who they were but when they started I was hooked. Now I’m going to their concert in April at london O2. They’re just raw, no flashiness or being controversial and they’re just extremely talented.
Pau is really something. This song is on intoxicating for me. I don't think i can do that kind of mental prowess to command your body to do drums and sing at the same time. This is some really powerful stuff.
Thank you great reaction as always. 🤟Pau is incredible she's so animated when she performs and her voice has a way of bringing out emotion in me.🤘 Actually DPA are all so expressive in their live videos they are super fun to watch. ⚡🔥⚡🔥⚡
Pau's version of Black Holes Acoustic just kills me every time.. She is a force of nature. She not only controls the drums.. but she controls midi pedals throughout the show as well. And she programmed them herself
I saw The Warning for the second time in Virginia a few days before this concert. All three sisters are great. But midway thru the show when Paulina become more of the vocal focus you cannot take your eyes off of her. She ABSOLUTELY steals the show, even though Dany is also great! She is incredible live, and not a surprise she’s the current Drummer of the Year! Go The Warning!
That’s my favorite song❤️it’s like the best song ever and pau put so much feeling on that song💖and you also feel the song while she’s singing, you can’t explain how good she is🤧she’s perfect❤️
Pau, is absolutely fantastic. it is not easy playing the drums and doing lead vocals on a song. Its easy to get lost in either trying to keep time or concentrating on the vocals.
You know Paus iis realy singing as you can hear her breath at times . . . Been following this band for a few years kow . . Love them . . Im like a proud grandad . . ❤💐❤💐❤💐
