This version brings them full circle. They went viral in 2014 with their cover of ES. It’s here on YT and has over 24 million views. This version was a collaboration with Alessia Cara for Metallica’s Blacklist album. They broke it down, rewrote and recorded it in a week with Alessia in Canada and TW in Mexico. What they did was take a rock anthem and create a masterpiece.
Wait until you see them live. Nothing prepares you for their show. Once you are a part of their performance, your addiction kicks up to 11 because they do everything at 11. Lzzy Hale said that The Warning attacks an audience like no young band she has seen in years, and that is 100% true. Even their set list build in intensity as the night goes on, until you are left utterly spent (and loving every second of the experience). Dany, Pau and Ale craft their live shows as if they were telling a story. They hook you with an early attention getter, then build the excitement with ebbs and flows through out, finishing with a crescendo that leaves you stupefied. Every song is placed with care and played with a purpose. You two need to find a way. Do what you need to. See them live.
My first time seeing them I was standing really close to Ale’s side of the stage--I swear I can still feel that bass rumbling through my body, holy heck. I’m one of the early fans (2014) and it took until last summer to see them, totally worth it. Saw them on their own tour and then opening for Halestorm.
I said something similar just the other day. They made Enter Sandman fresh and relevant again. They wove the original DNA throughout the song, and paid homage to the original at the end, but make no mistake, this is their song now.
The official video is worth watching as well. The mood is more atmospheric and the juxtaposition with Alessia Cara is interesting. And Pau does the prayer and it's creepy ... in a good way.
Tbh . . I think Alessia Cara takes away from the warning . . Not ads to . . Love them . . Yes . There are not enough words to express there talents . .
These sisters are overwhelmingly talented!! They did all arrangements, recording and mixing in just one week. They did an amazing job! EPIC song ending in a supernova! Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
That's the white explorer gibson Lzzy gifted her in Irving, Texas; you could actually see that moment then. This whole concert will be released slowly song by song, total of 22-23, this was the 2nd. and Disciple was the third one. Keep reacting to those, this whole concert was absolutely amazing. Watched trought fan videos before but these recordings are in another level.
Frankly I'd skip the fan videos of this concert, the audio on all of them have the same problem. It sounded like the ENTIRE audience was singing along to EVERY song drowning out the girls at times.
Here's a link to the video for when that happened and Dany playing the guitar in the next song, with her comments to the crowd afterward. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EF4nugoxBXw.html At that time, Dany didn't fully realize that Lzzy had given her the guitar to keep. It was only after their set when Dany tried to return the guitar to her that Lzzy explained. In the past when Lzzy was up and coming she broke a string on her guitar and Jasin Todd, the guitarist of Shinedown loaned her one of his guitar to finish their set. Afterward, Jasin told her to keep it, just pay it forward when she met someone up and coming who inspired her. So that was why Lzzy did it. Also, Lzzy reached out to Gibson to find a specific color of guitar and had them do several mods to it like replacing the neck with a thinner on to better fit Dany's hand, special pickups, and had it strung with Dany's favorite strings. So, it is a one of a kind guitar. Dany uses it to play certain songs in their set that use Drop-D tuning, like Enter Sandman and Queen of the Murder Scene.
@@NoSmokingDogs This is the one I kept from all out there and it's a pretty decent one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0bvwZMhCjso.html , Anyways, I was talking about the new official ones that are so much better in all aspects.
You guys get it. The Warning are headed to the very top. They ARE Rock'n'Roll. They have a talent for making new and fresh 'classic' rock, while keeping it accessible. I mean, they don't go so zany complex and funky that a person has to drop four hits of acid, drink a keg if beer, and sit around with the other 'cool' kids to pretend they like it and can connect with it. It just hits home, every time, all the time. They have not written a bad song. If they have, we'll never hear it. Check out any video from their channel. You will like it. That includes the vlogs, where you get to see who they are. If you love them now, wait until you see a vlog or two, or an interview. They are some of the most well rounded, down to earth, coolest people on Earth. Oh, and don't forget, English is their second language. The magnificence of that will sink in more over time. ROCK ON!
If you watch the Official Video you'll see that The Warning did this song with Canadian Pop singer Alessia Cara, They did this recording when they were asked By Metallica to take part in 2021 Blacklist Album when Metallica asked 53 different Artists to record covers of the 12 songs from the Black Album for it's 30th Anniversary and Metallica told them to do what ever they wanted with the song.
Yup, they track in Alesia Cara’s backing vocals in the live performance. In the music video Alesia actually sings most of the first verse and other parts. There is a live performance with Alesia at the Troubadour where the song is much closer to the music video. Easy to find on RU-vid. Supposedly Dany does the nursery rhyme part live because Pau struggles for some reason with the rhythm of that part and what she is playing on the drums. Pau does the nursery rhyme in the music video but she’s not playing her drums. So there is actually 4 versions of this song by The Warning. Original Cover in 2014 Music Video/Song on Black List Live version with Alesia Cara Live version with just the band and tracked Alesia Cara backing vocals.
Wow, y'all could have went to the Dallas Halestorm/ TPR show..... That was the show where Lzzy Hale pledged her undying fealty to one Daniella Villarreal and presented her a custom guitar. It was a great show. I saw it with my own eyeballs. 🤘⚡🔥
i actually discovered the warning last may by watching reaction videos for jinjer!!! the thumbnail for choke kept popping up and finally i checked it out... they are now my new fav band!!!! if you like the warning and jinjer, you will also like spiritbox.
They been my number one for going on 4 years now. So a little late to the game, but so happy to be here now. Alot of people will say they are the future of rock, I think they are the present of rock with so much more in store for the rest of us. Peace.
I like the music video with Alessia Cara very much as well. She has a smooth voice too, adds her own style to the cover. You definitely have to check that one out too 🤘
you need to check out songs sung by pau !!!! like Narcisista or dust to dust or stars always seem to fade , and blackholes! just a few to threw out there!
Hey Guys! Now you need to see "Animosity" and "Disciple" from the same show. As others have said, nothing prepares you seeing them live! These sweet, pretty young sisters come on stage, turn into Rock Monsters and proceed to melt your face and tear the roof off the building by throwing a wall of sound at you that you can't believe! My suggestion is to see them as a headliner in a smaller venue, so you get a nice long full set. But, if you can't anything will do. I took a friend of mine to their Tampa show last year who was like, "Ok, OK, I guess I'll go"... By the 3rd song he turn to mean and yelled, "OMG They are F%^$ing AWESOME!" And he didn't even know any of their songs. hahaha I am going to see them for the 4th time in 12 months in May at a festival in Daytona. I am willing to pay for a whole festival ticket and a 7 hour drive to see 2 bands. The Warning and Band-Maid. Oh, and I see you have done Band-Maid too! Try "Domination" and "Freedom" live. Epic!
Glad I caught this reaction from you guys. yes they made it their own as was the instruction from Metallica to them and 52 other artist for the Blacklist Album that celebrated the (30th) anniv. of the Black Album. Each artist did their favorite off the black album. The Warning teamed up with Alessia Cara through their mutual management agency. The Warning did most of the arrangement of the song and Alessia wrote the harmonies, recording their parts remotely over the pandemic restrictions - the girls in Mexico and Alessia in Canada. Great reaction guys!
I tell just about everyone that will listen: They will not disappoint you. They have a ton of originals and I’ve never been let down. I don’t know how they do it. Magic.
Good reaction my friends as usually, you must try some older stuff "Dust to Dust" live at Lunario CDMX your mind will blow out! a powerfull performance
So glad you are loving The Warning! That is such a crazy good performance. Everything was perfect! Great reaction! Keep The Warning reactions coming! Enjoying your channel a lot
Hola inRopinion, THE WARNING serán leyendas, aún faltan 20 canciones de estos 2 conciertos ÉPICOS 26 y 29 agosto, saludos desde Ciudad de México, TWA CDMX. 🤘🤘🤘⚡⚡⚡🔥🔥🔥
Don't know if you're familiar with Metallica's "Atlas Rise", but The Warning covered that like five years ago and it was amazing. Two versions: One in their "cave", and the other in the Whiskey A Go Go bar in LA. Both great, as that song has so many changes that you'd think that it would be almost impossible to cover. Not for The Warning though.
You should watch them in 2014 doing a cover of Enter Sandman where it all started. They each have a special day of the week and it's Friday for Dany , Saturday is Pau and Sunday is Ale's.
Well, metallica came to them, and gave them the honor to redo the song or do it as a cover. Now this song is the first song on metallicas new album " BLACK LIST"
When I first heard this, when it was released, I never imagined the song that I heard like 5,000 times could get any better. They took James Hetfield's advice to heart, and basically turned the song upside down and inside out, and created a NEW masterpiece... in 8 freaking days!! They have the same international manager as Alessia Cara, with whom they collaborated with, and although Alessia couldn't be there in person to shoot the music video, they superimposed her on the walls for her parts in the song. They more or less had to rewrite the parts again for public performances, since Alessia can't be there (although she did show up at one of the gigs in California for a surprise performance!). Incidentally, this is the first song on the new Metallica Blacklist album.😍👍
Isn't their take on it spectacular? "Owned the s2t out of it" is a good way to put it, and, yes, they took it to the next level. To me it's a much better song. Metallica suggested that groups get creative. Nobody else did, at least on Enter Sandman.
Its great when the venue, lighting, audio, video, are all top notch because they meet all that potential with thier rich, vivid, passionate themes and sound. But The Warning put on a great show when they are in jeans and tee shirts, playing in a sweaty dive bar with a tiny stage and bad lights. They are just a great live band with incredible musical talent. The way thier Enter Sandman builds, settles into those soft harmonies, builds again and then finishes on that classic riff, it really is a great version of the song. Every time they put out something new I get goosebumps. Every. Time.
Yesterday heard from you guys that Jinjer is on top of your list as well and today I found out a new concert date for TW on instagram at Loud Fest, where Jinjer is the main act. I thought it was for the US, but it'll be in Zurich in June.. for a moment I got excited for you. Anyways, as someone commented here, TW will be in Texas in May.
Her face when you said "poked it in and pulled it out", golden! HEHE! 😜 But seriously there are 53 covers by well established artists on the Blacklist album and to me their's is by far the best.
I was fortunate enough to see The Warning headlining in Tampa just 3 months after first hearing them. Not a day has gone by without listening to them and/or watching reaction videos. There’s something very special about these 3 young artists. I look forward to riding along in your exploration of my favorite band.
The way they rearranged the song and made their own version was very smart. Especially with the way they return to the original right there at the end.
the all-female rock group , called The Warning, for my taste is a rare mix of legendary rock groups like Suzi Quatro, Joan Jett and the black hearts and Heart. greetings from Mexico.
Hola, buena reacción. Efectivamente, nunca decepcionan. Les sugiero reaccionar a su álbum conceptual Queen of the murder scene. 🤘🇲🇽🤘🇲🇽🤘🇲🇽 Claro que pueden continuar revisando las canciones de su más reciente álbum Error. 👍
Wait till you see them in person and actually talk to them. My daughter and I had the privilege in October 11, 2022 In Monterey, California and they are amazing young ladies but there performance is like no other band I've ever watched live. Thanks for your reactions to The Warning
I have been kicking myself for not going to see them when they were in my area. Lucky because of the many members of TWA like to upload their videos of the concerts they attend I have managed to see most of their shows via RU-vid. There are moments I have come to expect from their shows and did not get to see for this song. Once Danny does not have to sing and they are all jamming to the Main Enter sandman riff, Dany and Ale switch places. everytime they have done this, once they song is finished they give each other a highfive as they return to "their" mics on stage. Here it was cut with editing to give us the fade to black screen. This concet has been uploaded by many how were there and I know it happened both nights. I am very much hoping they put this whole show out on BlueRay so that we can get this moments uncut! I also want to see what they show for the song Breathe, the track it played and used as an interlude to give the girls time to change outfits from black to white.
Ok... Yall are over 1000 subscribers... So it is time to ask you, since this is an International Group, please turn on your "CC" Closed Captioning !!! That makes it easier for those that don't speak English to get Your Words translated... Please, for you, and the ladies ! Turn on "CC" !!! (Also for everyother song that y'all produce ! It will just add to YOUR numbers...) Btw... Im in Dallas... Can't wait for y'all to visit again !
I love watching reaction videos of the warning. Just saw your reaction to Money and followed up and I see you went down the rabbit hole that is The Warning. I've seen them in Santa Ana, Ca and can't wait till they hit the LA area again.
I like that this is not just different than the original but it's not the same as the version with Alessia Cara. This is more of a rocker tune and with Alessia it's more poppy to fit her style. So if you really want to see the song turned inside out and upside down watch the MV for it with Alessia.
This is a great reaction. Same way I felt when I first saw this. But it was actually a game that came out with this song. And I wanted to know who sang this Re-imagined Song and found out it was the Warning. From then on I became a huge fan of them and been trying to get my friends to follow this band. We are not fans that grew up with pop but came from the 80's. So this music absolutely feeds our soul.
That intro in the outro... That's what I call as RESPECT 👍. I love how they have fun with their own remarkable creativities, but still giving Metallica a big shoutout by injecting the original into the reinterpretation. Goddank that brings me shivers!
