To put in context, that little girl beating shizzle out of her bass on a tricky multi part song was 14 years old and didn’t miss a beat throughout, so impressive. I’m pleased they played a tribute to a Metallica song once again, they’re good guys who’ve written some nice things about the girls, and will be on the same festival lineup in November. On the last European tour they donated a percentage of the ticket sales to local worthy causes homeless/hunger etc..much respect ✊
Great reaction! 6:54 14 year old Ale is nearly out of gas after playing nearly non-stop for 2 hours, but keeps rocking it to the end (and Pau looks like she could go another 2 hours 😄). As for respect for Metallica, given that their new cover of Enter Sandman will be the first track on the upcoming Blacklist album, I’d say the respect is mutual.
She did, in fact, destroy the bass drum machinery that night , LOL. This concert is the best concert I have ever been to. Whenever they started this song, I felt as though I was sucked into another dimension. It was the encore of a two-hour-plus private show, January 24, 2019. I flew from Connecticut to be there that night, joining folks from 7 different countries and 23 states. It was simply spectacular.
This is probably my favorite cover of their 1 because its the last cover they have done, 2 they absolutely KILL IT 3 because it was after doing 2+hours of their own tunes. Ale said that this was her favorite cover to do as it has so many changes in it and was challenging. And you can tell/see how tired she is but still keeps stalking the stage. And of coarse Dany and Pau trading off on the singing is so EPIC! Dany really shines on all the solos as well, she doesnt miss a beat! My brother in law is one of those elitist Metallica fans that didnt care for this cover at first BUT I wore him down because my nieces 12 and 14 at the time loved seeing girls play this and play it so good, and played it a bunch of times on their tv... nice and loud lol Cool reaction mate. hope you are well thanks and cioa for now
It's hard to realize the actual size of Pau's kit until they do the overhead shot! It's huge, and she makes good use of every bit of it (and more, seeing as she is also controlling the laptop with the backing track, various triggers, etc. for the performance.. AND singing besides)!! Miss Multi-tasker to _n_ th degree!!😁 🤘😎🤘
What makes this performance so amazing to me is that this was the 23rd song of a 23 song concert! It was a special thank you to the show organizer (I believe). The girls had to be fricking dead to the world but they still kicked ass and took names performing it!!! 🤘🤘🤘😍😍😍
They are simply amazing! What a complex song...Ale commented this was one of the hardest songs for her to learn! They bitch-slapped this song Dude! Much love for Dany, Pau, and Ale! ❤❤❤
I was too wiped out from work to hang in discord last night, but I've been waiting for this one. Seven minutes of non-stop high-energy Rock and Roll at the end of a two hour set. Oh to have that much energy again. I love this band. If there is any justice in the universe The Warning will be my next concert. The three of them are on a straight upward trajectory to filling those stadiums Highly. I believe it. Great reaction sir.
Can't help it don't wanna make any Metallica fans Man. But these young ladies kicked ass. They are a 3 piece not a 4. Ali Show me another 14 year old that can playthat good. As far as that goes show me any Young Band That can cover Metallica Is even better than Metallica
Yes DPA respect Metallica, but there is another layer to why this song was played during the show. This video is from a private concert that was organized by two super fans and was a kickstarter reward. A kickstarter campaign that paid for the studio recording of Queen of the Murder Scene. One of the organizers is a HUGE Metallica fan. This song was played as the encore in honor of his efforts. It is a memory I will not forget.
Roy,this night still still ranks as the number 1 concert in my life. We were lucky to have been a part of this private show my friend...well,you,me and another 100 or so lucky TWA members. What a night! This show will go down in The Warning history because there were so many first-timers in attendance and that's a shock to the system I hope all TWA get to experience someday! 🤘⚡⚡⚡🤘
Hey there! It's been a while. Hope you won't miss the release of their new song "Evolve" next friday! 😊 From the teaser it looks like it's gonna be a pretty heavy one! Also it's definitely a tribute. They have a very special relationship with Metallica. Their Enter Sandman cover got them noticed for the first time and they will be the opener on Metallica's upcoming Black List album of covers of the entire Black album. Sooo looking forward to it as it will apparently be a little different version of Enter Sandman this time...
I have to wait until Friday, but the clip was impressive. What's scary is that they're apparently not all that enamored of the song, compared to what else is to come.
I've seen them perform this song in a couple of different places but I feel this is their best one. Hocus Pocus they put a spell on me and I love it, I can and will listen to what ever they do for a long time, their just so amazing. After watching Dany play the guitar you might call what she does as a solo, I don't it more of an injection of soul in an integral part of the song, maybe not this song as it is just a cover but it's now cover of it's own. I hope you get the chance to see them play live some day as do I, thanks for the reaction my friend.
Someone who's been around longer than I have can correct me, but the story I read was that they essentially auctioned off a concert as a Kickstarter fundraiser, and the person who purchased and organized it is a huge Metallica fan, so they did this for him as their encore. Ale looks completely gassed. I've seen that before, when my alma mater's women's basketball team was playing a vastly superior opponent but more than held their own for the first two quarters, but by the end, they had absolutely nothing left. She contributes a lot more than setting the beat here; I believe that what she does is why Dany is able to really get into that big solo without the song sounding like just the solo.
I've never thought to ask him, but I know him pretty well, and I don't believe he is actually a big Metallica fan. Not sure why they dedicated it to him, unless it's like the time they dedicated Sinister Smiles to him because they know it is not his favorite song so they tease him all the time. lol
This was the first time I saw them live. You noted how they attacked it. This was song number 22 of a 2 hour set. They laid it all out there. I chuckled when you said she was going to destroy that kick drum. She actually struggled with it all night. You would see her reaching down and messing with the pedal during songs all night. During Hunter, she plaid a good portion of it standing up as her father and her drum tech were crawling underneath her to fix the pedal. We were all confused because really, all they had left to play was The End, and no double kick was required. The show ended, but no, it didn't, they lit the place up and melted our faces with Atlas Rise. We later learned that the pedal separated from the kick drum. They had to fix it so they could kill this song as the closer. OMG what a night!
What Pau actually has is more cymbals. She is playing a big set with two ride tom toms and two floor toms. She has the same setup at home. Looks like she added about 3 more cymbals. It looks bigger because of the unusual set she has on the ride toms. Most drummers have them centered,, but she has them offset. Its a very cool look, and yes I am a drummer :D Bye the way, Pau does not take her set on the road, she only takes her cymbals and stands. They rent drums for the show. You can watch the videos and see the different sets. Makes it easier to travel.
@@markbell4982 I only meant it in a very sincere way. In no way was I making fun of it. Maybe I should have used the word fantastic to describe it because that is what it is. I wish when I was much younger and playing professionally I had a kit like that. Even back in 1970, her rig would have cost big bucks. :D
These sisters are overwhelmingly talented and will become rock legends!! This cover is so awesome, love Dany's solos and overall power performance of all three girls. Amazing! Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
IMO... Dany is the most talented in the band. Pau... top 3 drummers in the world, Ale... top 3 bassists in the world! Dany is a fantastic lead guitarist and rhythm player, but she knows that they are a trio and mastered the art of both, in order to sound like a 4 or 5 piece band. Gotta love Dany!!!!
This was a few years ago, I don’t believe Ale had her 5-string yet. This was at the beginning of 2019, if my memory is right it was a private reward for Kickstarter supporters of the Queen of the Murder Scene. My guess is you’re thinking of the 2020 Whiskey shows, this is not those shows. They performed this song as a surprise to those fans because a lot of them like their performance of this song.
@@holydado if im not mistaken they actually decided to play this cover because the owner of The Whiskey loves Metallica and it was their show of appreciation to him for letting them play there.
@@fredbarnes2049 Pau is using a rental kit here at the Whisky. Being independent at the time meant renting all the big stuff locally, like amps and drums, and most likely lots more gear as well.
