For me, that live session, which you suggest, is the best version of this tremendous song because you can appreciate the performance of the 3 sisters at the same time, it's still live but the sound is more raw and... also their acting is fantastic!! 🤘😁✌️
I borrowed my 19-year-old son's car last year while mine was in the shop. When I took it back I accidentally left my "QOTMS" CD in his player. I was never able to get it back, I had to buy another one.
You are so deep in the wabbit hole of the Warning 😂. 81 reactions so far to them on your playlist and that you have added some interviews make you understand the greatness on this band. They have 3-4 vlogs on their channel where they talk about the different chapters of QOTMS. If you have not heard the title track and PSY and The End yet… prepare for even more greatness.

Dull knives cut “better” because they cause more pain & leave more scars (scarlett letters?). It doesn’t come thru here but Pau, who mostly voices the “good”, main character side is whispering the verses behind Dany, who voices “the queen”. The lyrics are the words of the main character but they’re (mostly) coming thru the voice of the evil side as the “good” side fades away.
Pau's whispered lines in this are my favorite part, and doubles how chilling the song is. I was sad when her part was inaudible during this performance.
Pau’s primal beat on the floor toms, Ale just driving that thundering bass, and Dany’s guitar tone make this still one of my favorite songs. Oh yeah and the vocals. So good!
The Teatro shows are great but I personally prefer the Lunario just for continuity and the way Dany embraces the part. Dull cuts better if the goal is pain and scars.

It was first played as the encore of their show at the Dakota Studio Bar in January 2018 when they played all of the songs from XXI Century Blood. One of my favorites ... this whole album is an asskicker ....don't own it yet, but I will ... Red Hands is another top for me too. PS there's a version of this from the Warning cave De (tor) from 2018 that Lzzy Hale saw and told the rest of Halestorm she wanted to take them out on tour covid happened so it didn't happen then but eventually did and they are set to tour Canada with Halestorm and Evanescence in Oct.
Nearly everybody seems to miss the most brilliant thing in this song (imo) which is changing one single word in the chorus (which Dany actually screwed up on the Lunario concert). ''Needles piercing through my brain, Slowly inflicting/increasing the pain''. I love it! 😁🤘
Dull Knives really shows the influence Metallica and other metal had on the band. They could very easily put out a full on metal album if they wanted to.
I feel like their songs continue to evolve and get fleshed out and refined over time. The demo versus the finished product. I like the 2022 (Teatro...) version of Hunter and Queen of the murder scene best.
This version of Dull Knives is cool due to the lighting show, but I agree with everyone that prefers the Dull Knives for the (de)Tour from The Warning Cave version - I think it was The Warning's best performance of any song up until the MTV VMA videos.

Teatro is the “best” concert but if you like raw and wild Ale and Pau, do yourself a favor and watch Dull Knives and Queen of the Murder Scene as a combo from Lunario.

Exactly... A dull knife cuts a raged edge and odd line. Where as a sharp knife cuts straight through and clean... It is easier for a Doctor who is repairing someone who has tried to kill themselves with a good sharp knife, vs someone who used a dull knife... This was a saying "Dull knives cut better..." for people who were "Into suicide..."
